Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Booth space (paid to the organizer)
- Material handling / drayage, where the space rate does not include it
- Electrical service, internet and rigging
- Booth cleaning and any union labor the venue requires
Published rates:
- Drayage: About $176 per cwt, 200 lb minimum, 2026–2027 San Diego planning rate
Key dates
- Design sign-off with Purple: Mid-June 2027
- Mid-June 2027: Design sign-off, island drawings and instrument power plan submitted.
- Late June to July 2027: Production in Fishkill, NY over 30–45 days; graphics proofed against your product photography.
- About 3 weeks before opening: Booth, crated instruments and literature ship to the advance warehouse in San Diego.
- Move-in days before August 22: Our project manager supervises union installation and runs the pre-show checklist.
- August 22–26, 2027: Meeting week; your Purple project manager is on the floor through the expo days.
- After the expo closes: Dismantle, instruments recrated, booth to storage or your next lab show.

Checklist
- Reserve booth space and note your hall location on the ACS Expo floorplan
- List instruments with weights, dimensions and power needs
- Decide which products and application notes lead the back wall
- Plan staffing around technical session breaks and expo hours
- Add an ACS Career Fair table if you are recruiting
- Send logo, brand palette and product photography to Purple
- Book downtown San Diego hotels early through the ACS housing block
- Approve the concept rendering and electrical plan
