Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Booth space (paid to the organizer)
- Material handling / drayage, where the space rate does not include it
- Electrical service, internet and rigging
- Booth cleaning and any union labor the venue requires
Published rates:
- Drayage (Purple venue-guide figure): About $195 per cwt, 200 lb minimum, Purple's 2026–27 Javits planning figure
- Late or off-target freight (Purple figure): 25 to 35 percent surcharge, Purple's 2026–27 Javits planning figure
- Booth space: Priced by show brand and booth option; quoted by Informa's team for 2027
Key dates
- Design sign-off with Purple: Early March 2027
- Early March 2027: Design sign-off; hanging sign placed on the Javits rigging point map and lit headers built into the wall.
- Mid-March to mid-April 2027: Production in Fishkill, NY over 30 to 45 days; part fixtures and machine plinths built to your weights and utilities.
- When Freeman's service kit opens: Labor, rigging, electrical, compressed air and material handling ordered through Freeman.
- About 3 weeks before move-in: The crated booth ships to the advance warehouse, every piece labeled with hall, booth number and show name.
- Move-in days before May 19, 2027: Our project manager leads install with vetted local labor, sets the equipment, dresses the samples and runs the demo cycle.
- May 19–20, 2027: Show days; after the 3 p.m. Thursday close we dismantle and send the booth to storage or the next manufacturing show.

Checklist
- Send us your MD&M East booth number, footprint and open sides once Informa assigns space
- Plan payments: 30, 60 and 100 percent milestones run from 12 to 6 months before the show
- List every machine with dimensions, weight, power and compressed air needs
- Choose the hero samples and the engineering question each one answers
- Decide what visitors may handle and what stays fixed under magnification
- Book hotel rooms only through onPeak, the endorsed provider
- Approve the concept by early March so the hanging sign fits the Javits rigging map
- Name the owner for sample requests, quotes and technical follow-up
