The short answer

Booth staffing in Las Vegas, explained in 60 seconds

Las Vegas hosts more major trade shows than any other U.S. city, and Purple Exhibits staffs them from a local roster: trade show models, brand ambassadors, sales reps and demonstrators at a flat $85 per hour, per person. No flights, no hotel bills, no per-diems. Book 6–8 weeks ahead for CES and SEMA; most other shows need 3–4 weeks, and we can fill rush requests in 72 hours.

A show day in Vegas

How our Las Vegas staff run your booth from doors to drinks

Vegas shows run long and the city never stops. Here is what a typical day looks like with Purple staff on your booth.

07:15Call time

Staff arrive by Monorail or rideshare at the LVCC West Hall drop-off, before the parking lots fill. Team lead checks uniforms and lead-scanner logins.

09:00Doors open

One ambassador works the aisle, reps hold the booth. Attendees arrive in waves from the Strip shuttles, so the first hour is the busiest.

13:00Shift change

Four-hour shifts keep energy up. Fresh staff step in; the morning team hands over hot leads on the scanner before they leave.

18:30Hospitality

Hostesses move to your suite or dinner at a Strip hotel. Many Vegas deals close after the hall shuts; our staff are briefed for that too.

The Las Vegas venues, north to south

Where the shows are, what each hall is like to work, and which of our staff we send there. Distances matter in Vegas: the Strip is four miles long and a “short walk” can be 25 minutes in heels.

Las Vegas Convention Center 3150 Paradise Rd · 4.6M sq ft

The big one. West Hall (CES, SEMA) is a 15-minute walk from Central Hall, so we stagger staff across halls instead of making anyone cross. Non-union for booth staff: your team can scan badges and hand out product. Monorail stops at the door.

Venetian Expo 201 Sands Ave · 2.25M sq ft

Connected to the Venetian and Palazzo, so hospitality and suite meetings happen under one roof. Sampling allowed with prior approval. The easiest venue to staff for early call times.

What a CES booth team costs in Las Vegas

CES runs four show days in January and Strip hotel rates peak that week. A 20×20 in Central Hall needs four people: two greeters on the aisle and two demo leads. Here is that team from our Las Vegas roster, next to the same team flown in.

Vegas rules of the road

Six things exhibitors get wrong in Las Vegas

We’ve staffed enough Vegas shows to know where the budget leaks. Here is what we tell every new client.

Mistake 01

Flying staff in

Out-of-town agencies add flights, hotels and per-diems, often $150–400 per person per day on top of the hourly rate. Our talent live here. $85 an hour is the whole number.

Mistake 02

Booking CES in December

CES staff are spoken for by late November. Book 6–8 weeks ahead for CES and SEMA; the best talent goes first.

Mistake 03

One 10-hour shift

Vegas halls run 9 to 6 and the hospitality runs later. Four-hour shifts with a handover keep the booth sharp at 5 p.m., when the serious buyers walk.

Mistake 04

Forgetting the walk

LVCC West Hall to Central Hall is 15 minutes. Mandalay Bay to the Venetian is a 20-minute drive in show traffic. We book staff by venue and stagger call times.

Mistake 05

Ignoring the suite

A lot of Vegas business closes in a hospitality suite after the hall shuts. Brief your hostesses for the suite as well as the booth, or send a separate team.

Mistake 06

No lead handover

Three shifts of staff with no shared scanner means lost leads. Our team lead keeps one lead log per booth and emails it to you nightly.

Purple Exhibits Las Vegas team
Reviewed by our Las Vegas staffing coordinators · Updated

How much do trade show models cost in Las Vegas?

A flat $85 per hour, per person, with a 4-hour minimum. The rate is the same for models, brand ambassadors, sales reps and demonstrators. Because our roster is local there are no flights, hotels or per-diems added, which typically saves $150–400 per person per day compared with an out-of-town agency.

Do you staff CES?

Yes. CES is our busiest week. We staff booths at LVCC, Venetian Expo and hotel suites across the Strip. Book 6–8 weeks ahead; CES talent is usually fully booked by late November.

Which Las Vegas shows do you staff?

All of the major ones: CES, SEMA, AAPEX, NAB, JCK, MAGIC, G2E, World of Concrete, SHOT Show, ISC West, Cosmoprof, ASD, Licensing Expo, SuperZoo, Pack Expo, AWS re:Invent, MJBizCon and both Las Vegas Market weeks, plus corporate events at Caesars Forum and Wynn.

Are there travel fees for Las Vegas shows?

No. Our Las Vegas talent live in Clark County, so there are no flights, hotel nights or per-diems on your invoice.

How early should I book for SEMA or NAB?

Six to eight weeks for SEMA, which overlaps with AAPEX and fills fast. Three to four weeks is usually enough for NAB, JCK and MAGIC. We can fill rush requests within 72 hours.

How many booth staff do I need for a 10x20 at LVCC?

Two to four people on the floor at once. LVCC aisles are wide and traffic comes in waves from the Strip shuttles, so we recommend one ambassador in the aisle and two reps inside the booth, rotating in 4-hour shifts.

Can your staff work hotel suites and off-site events?

Yes. We staff hospitality suites, private showrooms, dinners and off-site activations at Strip hotels during show weeks. Many Vegas deals close after the hall shuts, so we brief suite hostesses separately.

Is LVCC a union venue for booth staff?

Booth staff at LVCC can greet, scan badges, demonstrate product and hand out samples without union labor. Union rules apply to installation and dismantle, which our exhibit team handles separately.

Will the staff know the venue?

Yes. Our Las Vegas talent work LVCC, Venetian Expo, Mandalay Bay and Caesars Forum every month and know the halls, badge lines, Monorail stops and loading rules.

Do you have bilingual staff in Las Vegas?

Yes. Spanish-speaking talent are on every booking, and we can source Mandarin, Portuguese, French and Italian for international shows like CES, JCK and MAGIC.

Can you build the booth and staff it in Las Vegas?

Yes. Purple Exhibits designs, builds, installs and staffs exhibits in Las Vegas, so one team handles the booth, the people and the logistics.

What happens if someone doesn't show up?

A briefed local replacement is at your booth within 2 hours, or that shift is free. For teams of four or more an on-site lead handles breaks, rotations and backups.
