The 2025–2026 Jenks Productions kits let exhibitors set up and take down displays with their own personnel. Other producers set their own rules, so check your show kit.

Westchester County Center Exhibitor Guide
A 1930 Art Deco arena run by Westchester County Parks, where home, bridal, jewelry and card shows fill a 42 ft high Main Hall. The ceiling is not the limit you design to. Recent show kits cap displays at 8 ft, and every crate comes in through one 10 ft wide door off Tarrytown Road. This guide covers both halls, the door, who may build your booth and what drayage costs.
- 3,000+ exhibitors served
- 10,000+ booths built
- 2 days to a design brief

Quick answers
What exhibitors ask about the Westchester County Center
Displays and side walls are limited to 8 ft high, and side walls may extend no more than 5 ft from the back wall. Booths there are 8 ft deep by 10 ft wide.
The load-in door is on the Tarrytown Road side and is 10 ft wide. Never through the front entrance on Central Avenue.
New York has no right-to-work law. Who supplies booth labor here depends on your show's decorator; at Jenks shows that is Demers Exposition Services.

Westchester County Center Main Hall vs Exhibit Hall: two halls, two ceilings
Few venues put a 42 ft arena and a 10.8 ft room under one roof. The arena height invites tall builds, but the show rules and the single load-in door decide what actually fits. Check these numbers before you design.
- 42 ftMain Hall ceiling, over 26,720 sq ft of arena floor. Plenty of air for hanging signs if your show allows them, but ask first
- 10.8 ftExhibit Hall ceiling, over 12,800 sq ft. An 8 ft wall fits; a 10 ft tower with a header may not
- 8 ftDisplay and side-wall limit in the 2025–2026 Jenks kits, whatever the hall. Side walls stop 5 ft from the back wall
- 10 ftWidth of the Tarrytown Road load-in door. Kits list it at 15 ft high (home shows) and 13 ft high (bridal expo), so plan for 13
- 1930The year the building opened. It was designed as a civic arena, not a convention center, which is why freight moves on hand trucks through one door
The building
An Art Deco arena built to pay its own way
Westchester planned the County Center in 1924 to host community programs and the income-producing commercial events that would keep it running. Trade shows have been part of that plan from the start.

- 1924The Westchester Recreation Commission conceives a multi-purpose indoor center for community programs and income-producing commercial events.
- 1930The Art Deco building by Walker & Gillette opens with a gala on May 22, featuring pianist Percy Grainger and more than 1,500 local choral performers. Cost: about $785,000.
- 1966Bob Dylan plays on February 5 at the start of his world tour. The Who follow with Tommy in 1969.
- 1988A $16 million rehabilitation is completed.
- 2014The Westchester Knicks, the New York Knicks' G League team, move in.
- 2020In March the Army Corps of Engineers begins converting the center into a temporary hospital.
- 2021On January 13 it opens as one of New York State's first three mass vaccination sites.
- 2023The Westchester Knicks return after playing in Bridgeport during the pandemic years.
- 2025The center marks 95 years. A county facility-improvement project for the building and its grounds is listed in the 2025–2029 capital plan; scope and timing are not yet public.

Floor plan & exhibit halls
Westchester County Center floor plan: Main Hall and Exhibit Hall
The building is an arena first. Trade shows use the arena floor (the Main Hall) and a smaller Exhibit Hall, with the meeting rooms for seminars and show offices. Listings put total exhibit space at 38,800 sq ft. Tap a hall for its size and ceiling.
Schematic. Widths are proportional to floor area; the spaces are not side by side and this is not an architectural plan. Sizes are from the venue's Cvent listing; ask the County Center for the current floor plan.
Main Hall
- 26,720 sq ft · 146′ × 177′
- 42 ft ceiling
- 3,000 on the floor · 4,400 with the balcony
The arena floor, home court of the Westchester Knicks and the stage for concerts. For shows it is the largest single space in the building. The decorator's kit notes that only the wooden floor section is carpeted, so budget for booth carpet.
Exhibit Hall
- 12,800 sq ft · 122′ × 96′
- 10.8 ft ceiling
- 1,200 max · 500 banquet
A low-ceiling room for overflow aisles, food courts or a separate show. At 10.8 ft, check the headroom for banner stands, towers and lighting.
Meeting rooms A–D
- 3,533 sq ft combined
- 14 ft ceiling
- 370 theater, combined
Four flexible-wall rooms of 745 to 922 sq ft, plus Room E (709 sq ft, 11 ft). Good for seminars, a show office or a sponsor lounge.
Load-in & move-in

- One door, Tarrytown Road sideThe 2025–2026 kits route all move-in through a door off Tarrytown Road, 10 ft wide and listed at 13 to 15 ft high. No move-in through the front entrance. The venue lists a loading dock but publishes no bay count, so confirm with the County Center.
- Hand trucks, not machinesBring your own dollies or hand trucks. Mechanical material-handling equipment is not allowed; forklifts are available through the show at $75 per pick, pre-ordered.
- Check in firstAll move-in crews check in at the show office, where badges are handed out (six per exhibitor at Jenks shows).
- ParkingFree exhibitor parking behind the building is limited, first come, first served. The county's East and West lots charge $10 a day ($15 for special events) and close at midnight, with no overnight parking.
- Day −60Design approved against the show's height rule (8 ft at Jenks shows) and the 10 ft door.
- Day −30Certificate of insurance naming the producer and the Westchester County Center as additional insureds. Home improvement exhibitors file their Westchester County license.

- Day −7Electrical order to the producer ($85 for a basic outlet at Jenks shows).
- Day −1Move-in through the Tarrytown Road door, typically Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for weekend shows.

Labor & rules
Westchester County Center labor rules: what your own crew may do
New York is not a right-to-work state. The County Center itself publishes no exhibitor work rules, so these come from the 2025–2026 exhibitor kits for the Jenks Productions home and bridal shows and the Demers Exposition Services kit for the Fall 2025 home show. Other producers can set different rules. Check your show kit.
✓Your own crew
- Set up and take down your display with your own personnel. The kits set no booth-size cap and no full-time-employee test
- Move freight on your own dollies and hand trucks
- Bring your own tables, chairs and carpet; they are not included in the booth
- Display a vehicle inside, if it meets the fire marshal's rules below
●Contractors and the venue
- Demers Exposition Services (East Hartford, CT) is the decorator for Jenks shows: drape, rentals, material handling and display labor
- Demers display labor: $102.20 per worker-hour in advance on weekend days (Fall 2025 kit), two-hour minimum. We could not confirm whether it is union
- Forklifts through the show: $75 per pick, pre-ordered
- Electricity through the producer: $85 for a basic 500 W outlet
- Food and beverage exhibitors need approval from Homestyle Catering, the in-house caterer
- Home improvement, HVAC, plumbing and electrical exhibitors need a Westchester County Department of Consumer Protection license
!Never allowed
- Open flames or anything that produces heat: candles, incense, Sterno
- Enclosed tents or roofed structures; any tent needs a fireproof certificate
- Lithium batteries, per the fire marshal note in the 2026 bridal expo kit (ask your producer what this covers)
- Mechanical material-handling equipment during move-in
- Moving in through the front entrance
- Starting to dismantle before the show closes
- Display vehicles with more than a few gallons of fuel or a connected battery

Insider tips
Westchester County Center exhibitor tips: what experienced teams do
Design to 8 ft, not 42 ft
The Main Hall ceiling is 42 ft, but the Jenks kits cap displays and side walls at 8 ft, with side walls no deeper than 5 ft. Bring a booth built for an 8 × 10 space, not your Javits tower.
Measure crates against the door
Everything enters through the Tarrytown Road door, 10 ft wide. One kit lists it at 15 ft high and another at 13 ft, so keep crates and display vehicles under 13 ft and never plan on the front entrance.
Pack your own hand truck
Mechanical material-handling equipment is not allowed at move-in, so bring dollies. If a crate needs a forklift, pre-order a pick through the show at $75 each way.
Ship to East Hartford, not White Plains
For Jenks shows, advance freight goes to the Demers warehouse in East Hartford, Connecticut, crated, between about 30 and 15 days out. Loose material is refused and late freight costs $25 per cwt extra.
Two names on the insurance
Your certificate must name both the producer and the Westchester County Center as additional insureds. Contractors also need their Westchester County home improvement license number filed before the deadline.
Beat the midnight lot closing
The East and West lots close at midnight with no overnight parking, and free exhibitor spaces behind the building go first come, first served. Crews coming from Manhattan can take Metro-North to White Plains and walk.
FAQ
Westchester County Center FAQ for exhibitors
How big is the Westchester County Center?
The Main Hall, the arena floor, is 26,720 sq ft (146 × 177 ft) with a 42 ft ceiling. The Exhibit Hall is 12,800 sq ft (122 × 96 ft) with a 10.8 ft ceiling. Venue listings put total exhibit space at 38,800 sq ft, plus meeting rooms A–D (3,533 sq ft combined) and Room E.
Can I set up my own booth at the Westchester County Center?
At the Jenks Productions home and bridal shows, yes: exhibitors may set up and take down displays with their own personnel, using their own dollies or hand trucks. The County Center publishes no venue-wide work rules, so other shows may differ. Check your show kit.
Is the Westchester County Center union?
New York is not a right-to-work state, but the County Center does not publish a union labor requirement for exhibitors. Booth labor comes from your show's decorator, Demers Exposition Services at the Jenks shows. We could not confirm whether that labor is union, so ask your producer.
What is the maximum booth height?
At the Jenks shows, displays and side walls are limited to 8 ft high, and side walls may not extend more than 5 ft from the back wall. Booths are 8 ft deep and 10 ft wide, and nothing may extend into the aisle. Other shows set their own limits.
Where is the Westchester County Center loading dock?
Move-in is through a door on the Tarrytown Road side of the building, 10 ft wide and listed at 13 to 15 ft high depending on the kit. All crews check in at the show office first. Move-in through the front entrance is not allowed.
How much is drayage at the Westchester County Center?
Plan about $95 per hundredweight. The Fall 2025 home show kit charged $89 per cwt with a 2 cwt minimum, plus 25% per occurrence for overtime (before 8 a.m. or after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, and all weekend). Your show kit has the actual rate.
Can I bring a vehicle into the show?
Yes, at the Jenks shows, if the fuel level is very low (the kits allow 5 to 10 gallons), one battery cable is disconnected and taped, the gas cap is locked or taped and the key stays on the property. Propane tanks must be removed right after use.
Where do exhibitors park?
Free exhibitor parking behind the building is limited and first come, first served. The county-run East lot (133 Bronx Street) and West lot (218 Tarrytown Road) charge $10 a day or $15 for special events and close at midnight. The North White Plains lot at 98 Fisher Lane is a third option.
What items are banned at the Westchester County Center?
The fire marshal bans open flames and anything that produces heat, including candles, incense and Sterno, as well as enclosed tents and roofed structures. The 2026 bridal expo kit also says lithium batteries are strictly prohibited, so ask your producer how that applies to your booth electronics.
How do I get to the County Center from Manhattan?
Take Metro-North's Harlem Line from Grand Central to White Plains, about 35 to 45 minutes off-peak. The venue's directions lead from the north end of the platform through a short tunnel and along a path to the County Center lot, then across the street at the light.
