The short answer

Staffing a booth at the PGA Show

A golf booth works when someone knows the club, the line and the buyer. Purple Exhibits sends PGA Show exhibitors product presenters, hitting bay hosts, putting contest hosts, trade show models and booth reps from the Orlando area. Every role bills at $85 per person per hour, four-hour minimum per shift, and because the team lives locally there are no travel fees. The 2027 show runs January 26–29. It opens with Demo Day on Tuesday at Orange County National Golf Center, then moves indoors to the West Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center from Wednesday to a 2 PM close on Friday. We staff the range and the hall as two plans. Book about six weeks ahead; rush requests need 72 hours’ notice.

What we staff

PGA Show staffing services

Eight ways to fill a golf booth for PGA Show 2027 staffing, from the range on Tuesday to the last buyer meeting on Friday. Every one of them is $85 an hour per person.

Trade show models

Camera-ready models stand with your new apparel line or a featured driver, keep the samples tidy and steer buyers to the order book.

Brand ambassadors

Ambassadors work the aisle edge, trade a sleeve of balls for a badge scan and send each golf pro to the bay, the green or the desk.

Promotional models

For launch moments and photo walls, promotional models hold the product, pose for buyer photos and hand out your one-page sell sheet.

Hostesses

Hostesses greet appointment guests, run the coffee bar or lounge and handle seating at buyer dinners off the show floor.

Product presenters and demonstrators

Presenters learn your script, run launch monitor sessions and explain spin, launch and carry in words a shop owner can repeat.

Registration and check-in staff

Check-in staff manage Demo Day sign-up sheets, fitting cart lists and the guest list at customer events.

Lead capture booth reps

Reps scan every badge, ask the questions you approve and tag each lead as a pro, a buyer or a director of golf.

Bilingual staff on request

Tell us early if your buyers speak Spanish or another language, and we look for Orlando staff who speak it at the same rate.

Demo Day is a different course

The show starts outdoors, at Orange County National Golf Center, not the convention center. It runs 9 AM to 5 PM, and the range calls for its own plan.

Pros and VIPs first

Early access is for PGA and LPGA Professionals and VIP guests. Put your best presenters on the tee line in the morning, because these are the people who order.

General access

The range fills up after noon. Add a greeter at the tent entrance and keep a written list for the fitting carts so nobody waits without a time.

Rain or shine

Demo Day goes ahead in any weather. Our range crew brings rain layers and grip towels, and we agree in advance where sign-ups move if the sky opens.

Its own crew

The range is a separate venue from the hall. We usually send a separate range crew so your floor team starts Wednesday rested. One or two people can work both to keep the story the same.

Range morning: the crew sets up fitting carts and the tent before the first early-access players arrive.

Range math: four people on a 9-hour Demo Day call is 36 hours × $85 = $3,060, with nothing added for travel.

Bays and greens

Who runs the line at the bay and the green

The hitting bay and the putting green bring in the crowd. Without rules, they also eat a whole afternoon. Here is how our hosts keep both moving.

Launch monitor + nets

Hitting bay

  1. Scan the badge before the first swing, not after the last one.
  2. Set a swing limit per visitor, such as five balls, and say it up front.
  3. The presenter reads ball speed, spin and carry back in plain words.
  4. The bay host swaps clubs and has the next player warmed up.
  5. Deep fitting questions go straight to your own fitter.
Contest + leaderboard

Putting green

  1. One entry per badge, scanned when the scorecard is handed out.
  2. Rules explained once, in one sentence, before the first putt.
  3. Leaderboard updated by hand every hour so the aisle can see it.
  4. Prize limits per day agreed with you before the show.
  5. The green is cleared and reset between players.

The Friday half day

  • Exhibits close at 2 PM. A six-hour call from 8:00 AM covers it, and the four-hour minimum still applies to shorter shifts.
  • Name the putting contest winners before noon, while the aisles are still busy.
  • Keep the appointment desk staffed to the end. Last-day meetings still happen.
  • Export and check scanner leads before the doors close, not on the flight home.

The buyer appointment desk

  • Checks in each scheduled buyer and finds the right rep within a minute.
  • Keeps a short walk-in waitlist when every rep is busy.
  • Marks no-shows so your sales team can offer a new time.
  • Knows the difference between a golf shop owner, a facility buyer and a director of golf, and routes each one.
Around the show

Penalty strokes

Five PGA Show staffing mistakes, and the fix

+1 stroke · 01

One crew for all four days

The range on Tuesday and three hall days is a long week. Split the range crew from the floor crew.

+1 stroke · 02

No line rule at the bay

One visitor hits for twenty minutes while buyers walk past. Set a swing limit and a host to keep it.

+1 stroke · 03

Prizes without scans

A putting contest with no badge scan gives away prizes and brings back no leads.

+1 stroke · 04

Treating Friday like Wednesday

The floor closes at 2 PM. Book a lean, shorter Friday crew instead of paying for a full day.

+1 stroke · 05

An empty appointment desk

Buyers who booked a time should not wait while every rep is busy. Put a host on the desk.

Purple Exhibits Orlando team
Checked by our Orlando show coordinators · Updated

How much do PGA Show booth staff and trade show models cost?

Each person bills $85 per hour, and every shift has a four-hour minimum. Product presenters, bay hosts, putting contest hosts, trade show models and booth reps all sit on that one rate. Our crew is based in the Orlando area, so you never pay for flights or hotels.

When is the 2027 PGA Show?

January 26–29, 2027, in Orlando. Demo Day is Tuesday, January 26, from 9 AM to 5 PM at Orange County National Golf Center. The exhibits run at the Orange County Convention Center, West Concourse: Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 AM to 6 PM, and Friday 8:30 AM to 2 PM.

Do you staff Demo Day at Orange County National?

Yes. We send a range crew for the Tuesday tent: greeters, presenters for the hitting stations and help with fitting carts. Demo Day runs rain or shine, with early access at 9 AM for PGA and LPGA Professionals and VIPs and general access from noon.

Can your staff run our launch monitor?

Yes, once we have your script. Presenters run each session and explain the main numbers in plain words. Detailed fitting stays with your own fitters.

Can you run a putting contest at our booth?

Yes. A contest host handles scorecards, badge scans, the leaderboard and prize limits you set. Busy booths add a second host on Wednesday and Thursday.

How many people does a PGA Show booth need?

Start with one host per hitting bay, one per putting green, a booth rep and an aisle ambassador. A 20×20 with one bay usually runs with four. The crew card on this page prices your own layout.

Is the PGA Show open to the public?

No. It is a trade event for PGA and LPGA Professionals, facility buyers and owners, directors of golf and retailers. We brief staff to talk orders and timing, not fan chat.

What do your staff wear?

Your polos and your visors or caps, in the sizes we send you. For Demo Day we add rain layers so the logo stays on show if the weather turns.

How short can a Friday shift be?

Exhibits close at 2 PM on Friday. Any shift can be as short as four hours; most of our Friday calls run about six hours.

What if a staff member cancels during show week?

We keep standby staff in Orlando all week. If someone drops out, a briefed stand-in reaches your booth inside two hours, or you pay nothing for that shift.

Are you the official PGA Show staffing company?

No. We are an independent firm that exhibitors hire directly. We are not affiliated with the PGA Show or the PGA of America.

How far ahead should I book for the PGA Show?

About six weeks before the show gives you the widest choice. We also take rush bookings with 72 hours’ notice.

Where can I hire booth staff near the Orange County Convention Center?

Right here. Our PGA Show crews live around Orlando, so they report to the West Concourse on International Drive with no flights or hotel nights to pay for. The same team can also cover Demo Day in Winter Garden and buyer dinners near I-Drive, each person at $85 an hour with a four-hour minimum.

Can I book promotional models for just one day, such as Demo Day?

Yes. You can book one shift on any single day of the show, including the Tuesday range day on its own. The four-hour minimum per person still applies, and most Demo Day calls run about nine hours to cover setup and the 5 PM finish.

Can you send bilingual staff for international buyers?

Often, yes. The 2026 show drew visitors from about 90 countries, so some exhibitors want a Spanish speaker or another language in the booth. Tell us which languages you need when you book and we look for Orlando staff who speak them, at the same $85 hourly rate.
