Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Booth space, paid to American Public Power Association
- Drayage and material handling, unless the space rate already covers it
- Electrical service, internet and rigging at the Atlantic Union Bank Convention Center (formerly Raleigh Convention Center)
- Booth cleaning and any union labor the Atlantic Union Bank Convention Center (formerly Raleigh Convention Center) requires
Published rates:
- 10×20 booth: $3,500 Elite Corporate Associate, $4,000 Corporate Associate, $8,000 nonmember, 2027
- 10×10 booth: $2,500 Elite Corporate Associate, $3,000 Corporate Associate, $6,000 nonmember, 2027
- Extra booth worker: $250 each beyond the included registrations, 2027
- APPA hotel rate: $279 per night plus 13.25% tax at the Raleigh Marriott City Center, 2027
Key dates
- Booth worker and complimentary sponsor registrations due: March 12, 2027
- Design sign-off with Purple: Early February 2027
- January 2027: Booth reserved on APPA's floor plan; logo files sent to APPA; design sign-off about ten weeks before move-in.
- February 2027: Production in Fishkill, NY over 30 to 45 days; Public Power Champions send session details by February 15.
- March 11–12, 2027: APPA hotel rate cutoff March 11; booth worker registrations due March 12.
- Late March 2027: Freight ships to Raleigh on the vendor services kit schedule; electrical and internet ordered.
- April 12, 2027: Move-in 11 a.m.–4 p.m. with our project manager; Welcome Reception in the expo from 5 p.m.
- April 13–14, 2027: Expo days; move-out Wednesday afternoon and the booth ships to storage or your next utility show.

Checklist
- Confirm your APPA membership level before booking: it changes the booth price
- Reserve a 10×20 on APPA's NextTech Expo floor plan
- Send APPA your logo in JPEG, EPS and transparent PNG
- Register booth workers by March 12, 2027
- Book the Raleigh Marriott City Center before the March 11 cutoff
- Choose the one product the booth will show
- Plan staffing for both receptions and the 7:30 a.m. openings
- Order lead retrieval through Event Technologies
