The stone needs light. The buyer needs a table.

Retail jewelers judge a piece the way their customers will: worn, up close and in true light. Then they sit down to talk memo terms. Build the booth around both moments.

Jewelry buyers judge the piece up close, under good light, then sit down to talk price and memo terms. Here are real booths we built for diamond, gold and gem companies, and what fits in every booth size.

Kapu Gems booth by Purple Exhibits with two lit glass showcases of loose diamonds and necklaces in front of a white wall with the Kapu Gems logo01 / THE SHOWCASE

Kapu Gems · Purple Exhibits

Let the stones carry the front of the booth.

Two lit glass showcases run the full width of the aisle, loose diamonds in white boxes on one side and necklaces on black busts on the other, with the logo and Unearthing Brilliance on a clean white wall behind, so a buyer sees the product before the brand.

Private buying room in the Kapu Gems booth by Purple Exhibits with two white work tables, daylight task lamps, white chairs and framed diamond prints02 / THE BUYING ROOM

Kapu Gems · Purple Exhibits

Close the door on the real conversation.

Behind the showcase wall, a private room holds two white work tables with daylight task lamps, calculators and trays, framed diamond prints on the walls and four chairs, so stones can be sorted and priced out of sight of the aisle.

Lit glass jewelry showcases on the deep blue Highend Collections booth by Purple Exhibits03 / THE JEWEL BOX

Highend Collections · Purple Exhibits

Build the cases into the walls.

Tall navy walls wrap the booth, with lit showcases set into two faces so necklaces on blue busts sit at eye level from both aisles. White Highend Collections panels mark each corner from far down the hall, and a gap in the wall leads to a seated buying area inside.

AMB Gold & Diamond booth by Purple Exhibits with a long run of black and gold collection panels for pendants and rings under a gold header04 / THE COLLECTION WALL

AMB Gold & Diamond · Purple Exhibits

One panel per collection, one look for the brand.

A long run of black and gold panels names each collection, from Memory Pendant to bridal rings, under a continuous gold header, with warm wood below, so a buyer walking the aisle can read the whole range in a few steps.

The collection, by the case

What fits in each booth size, laid out four ways.

The two-case counter10×20

200 sq ft. Room for real showcases and a real seat for the buyer.

In the space
Two lit, lockable showcases at the aisle, a back wall with your brand, a two-seat table with a task lamp, lockable storage and two to three staff.
Best for
Diamond and gem dealers, designers and gold manufacturers at JIS, JA New York, the Atlanta Jewelry Show and the Tucson hall shows.
Good to know
Where the show sells only turnkey packages, hotel rooms or showroom spaces, we build showcases, lighting and graphics that fit the space instead.

The long showcase10×30

300 sq ft, usually inline. A long run of cases.

In the space
Three to four showcases grouped by collection, a table at each end, lockable storage and three to five staff.
Best for
Gold and bridal manufacturers, watch distributors with several brands and gem dealers who show parcels and finished pieces side by side.
Good to know
Group the cases the way buyers shop: bridal, fashion and fine, or loose and set, so a buyer can walk the line without asking for help.

The jewel box20×20

400 sq ft, often an island open on all sides.

In the space
Showcases on two or three faces, a closed buying room for private pricing, a safe position inside a lockable storeroom, a lit header or hanging sign where permitted and four to eight staff.
Best for
Established diamond, gold, bridal and watch brands at JCK and JIS Fall.
Good to know
Plan the lock-up first. The storeroom, the safe and the route from every case to it decide the layout more than the graphics do.

The flagship20×30+

600 sq ft and up. A store on the show floor.

In the space
Showcases on every face, two or more closed meeting rooms, a lounge for key accounts, back-of-house storage with a safe and a hanging sign.
Best for
Large jewelry and watch houses and diamond manufacturers launching a collection at JCK.
Good to know
Plan the security, the electrical drops for showcase lighting and the rigging before the drawings are final. Big jewelry islands need the hall’s and the contractor’s approval early.

A good jewelry booth works like a good store: the best pieces lit at the aisle, everything locked when the lights go off and a quiet table for the order. We’ll plan the cases, the light and the lock-up together. Get a fixed proposal

06 EVERY CASE HAS ITS BUYER

Choose the right jewelry or gem show audience Know who buys. Meet them where they write orders.

A retail jeweler, a gem buyer, a department store buyer and an estate collector can walk the same aisle and want four different things: the margin, the parcel, the name and the provenance. Choose the people you need in front of you, and we’ll help you narrow the field.

MAKE IT A COLLECTION, NOT JUST A CASE

A stone.
A light that shows it true.
A reason to write the memo.

The piece gets them to stop. True light, a case they can lean over and a quiet seat to talk price, memo and delivery give a retail jeweler, a gem buyer or a department store buyer a reason to open an account with you.

08 LET’S GET YOU SHOW-READY

How to exhibit at a jewelry, watch or gem trade show Light it, lock it, then write the order.

These shows run on small, valuable product, short buying windows and private conversations. Let’s break it into manageable pieces: the showcase, the light, the security, the meetings, the Tucson season, the hotel showroom, the freight and the follow-up.

01THE SHOWCASEStart with the tray, not the wall.

In a jewelry booth, the showcases are the store. Size them from what you will put in them.

  • Count the pieces: How many rings, pendants, parcels or watches go in each case decides the case length, depth and how many cases you need.
  • Choose the height: Standing-height cases at the aisle draw people in; counter-height cases with stools work for longer conversations.
  • Pick the backdrop: Black or deep blue trays make diamonds and white metal stand out; ivory and taupe flatter gold and pearls; watches read best on cushions at a slight angle.
  • Lock every case: Sliding glass doors with keyed or coded locks, and a plan for who holds the keys.
02THE LIGHTLight the stones before you light the brand.
  • High color rendering: Use LEDs with a CRI of 90 or higher inside the cases, so stones and metals look the same at the show as in the buyer’s store.
  • Match the color temperature to the metal: Cooler white light (around 5000K to 6000K) brings out the fire in diamonds and platinum; warmer light (around 3000K) flatters yellow gold. Mixed collections can use both, case by case.
  • Kill the glare: We test your pieces in a lit showcase in our Fishkill, NY shop at standing and seated eye level and adjust the angles before the booth ships.
  • Add task lamps: Gem dealers need daylight lamps at the buying table for sorting and grading, and watch buyers want to read a dial without a reflection.
03THE SECURITYPlan the lock-up before the graphics.

JCK and the Tucson shows each publish their own security and lock-up rules in the exhibitor materials, and your jewelers block insurance policy sets its own conditions for shows. We plan the booth to meet both.

  • Lockable storage under every counter and a storeroom with a place for your safe.
  • A short route from case to storage, so the team can clear the cases and lock down in minutes at close of day.
  • No blind corners: Staff should see every case from the table.
  • Count the people: Insurance and show rules often expect staff at the cases whenever they are open. Plan the schedule with that in mind.
04THE MEETINGSGive the order a private table.
  • Book the key accounts first: Email current retailers and distributors four to six weeks out with your booth number, what is new and two or three time slots.
  • Close the door on pricing: Memo terms, volume and exclusivity talk belongs in a closed buying room inside the booth, with good light and a table for four.
  • Plan for JCK week: Luxury (June 2–7), JCK (June 4–7), COUTURE (June 2–6) and the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show (June 3–6) all run in early June 2027, and buyers move between The Venetian Expo and Wynn Las Vegas. Leave time in the schedule for both.
  • Leave open slots: New buyers find you in the aisle. Keep calendar space at peak hours.
05THE TUCSON SEASONMany shows, one city, one plan.

The Tucson winter showcase (January 27–February 14, 2027) is about 50 independent shows, each with its own owner, rules and buyer policy. Visit Tucson’s 2025 study counted 6,709 vendors across them.

  • Pick the floor by the buyer: AGTA GemFair and GJX are trade-only; G&LW asks buyers for a resale certificate; the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show is open to collectors and the public.
  • Hall, hotel room or tent: AGTA GemFair and the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show use the Tucson Convention Center, JOGS the Tucson Expo Center and many dealers show in hotel rooms. We size showcases, lighting and graphics to the space you booked.
  • Bring your own daylight: Rooms and tents light unevenly. Task lamps and lit cases keep color true at the table.
  • Plan two dates: GJX opens January 30, a day before AGTA GemFair; the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show closes the season February 11–14.
06THE HOTEL SHOWROOMWhen the booth is a room.

COUTURE exhibitors show in showroom spaces at Wynn Las Vegas, and many Tucson dealers sell from hotel rooms. The rules are the hotel’s, not a convention hall’s.

  • Build to the door: Freestanding showcases, light boxes and furniture that roll on a cart through corridors and elevators.
  • Bring the light: Hotel rooms are lit for guests, not stones. Lit cases and portable task lamps fix that.
  • Brand the room, not the walls: Freestanding graphics and backdrops that need no fixing to hotel walls.
  • Time the delivery: Your project manager books delivery and pickup with the hotel.
07THE FREIGHTShip the booth early. Carry the goods by hand.
  • Count back from the warehouse deadline: Every general contractor publishes a date when freight must reach the advance warehouse. Our builds take 30 to 45 days, so we work back from that date.
  • Keep the product separate: The booth, cases and graphics ship as freight; jewelry, stones and watches travel under your own security and insurance arrangements, never in the booth crates.
  • Ship the booth from the U.S.: We build in our Fishkill, NY shop and stage from our Las Vegas hub, which serves JCK week, COUTURE and JOGS Las Vegas.
  • Watch the stacked weeks: In Las Vegas several jewelry shows move in at once, and the dock schedule fills fast. Your project manager books the targets early.
08THE FOLLOW-UPSend the memo before they land.

Take orders and requests at the booth on a scanner or tablet with the style numbers, stone details, quantities and delivery window, and send line sheets, memo agreements and order confirmations within days of the show.

Tag every lead as a retailer, a chain, a manufacturer or a designer, so follow-up reaches the right person. Track results over a full reorder cycle: a jeweler who takes a memo in June may reorder for the holidays, so measure accounts opened and reorders, not only the leads.

THE BUYER FILE

Your line, ready for every jeweler.

Retail jewelers and gem buyers decide fast. Have this ready as a printed line sheet and a short digital kit, so opening the account is easy.

09 THE MATH BEHIND THE CASE

Jewelry trade show budget & ROI Clear goals. Accounts you can count.

Let’s put numbers behind the plan. Add your full show budget and your own account economics to see what breaking even could look like over a realistic reorder cycle.

Budget beyond the square footage.

Space & presence
Booth space, turnkey package or showroom, design, graphics, lit and lockable showcases, a buying room, flooring, furniture and lighting.
Getting there
Freight for the booth and cases, material handling by weight, installation, dismantle and storage, and secure transport for the product.
Running the booth
Electrical for showcase lighting, security and insurance requirements, internet, cleaning, lead capture, line sheets and packaging.
Your people & follow-through
Sales and design team time, international travel, show-week hotels, buyer dinners and post-show follow-up.

Get itemized quotes and an explicit contingency. Showcases, lighting, security and hotel rooms in show week weigh more on a jewelry budget than floor space, so price them early. These categories are a planning checklist, not a price estimate.

THE EXHIBIT MATH

Let’s do the math.

An example to get you started. Change the numbers to fit your company.

Use contribution after the cost of goods and serving the account, before show cost, not order value. Many jewelry accounts start with a memo or a small first order and grow with reorders, so choose one evaluation period (for example, 12 months) for every input.

Jewelry and watch trade show FAQ Good questions. Clear answers.

What is the biggest jewelry trade show in the U.S.?

JCK Las Vegas is the largest single U.S. jewelry show: JCK counted 30,000+ industry professionals and 1,800+ exhibiting brands from 120 countries in 2026, on nearly 430,000 square feet at The Venetian Expo. The Tucson winter gem shows draw more people in total (113,342 buyers in Visit Tucson’s 2025 study), but they are about 50 separate shows, not one floor. See the big five head to head.

What are the jewelry trade shows in 2027?

This guide lists 16 U.S. jewelry, watch and gem trade shows dated in 2027. The year opens in Tucson, where JOGS Tucson Winter and the Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase start January 27, 2027. March brings JIS Spring in Miami Beach (March 7–9) and JA New York Spring (March 14–16), April the Atlanta Jewelry Show in Savannah (April 3–5), early June JCK week in Las Vegas, late August JOGS Tucson Fall (August 26–29) and September JIS Fall (September 17–20, 2027). See the full calendar.

When is JCK 2027?

JCK Las Vegas 2027 runs June 4–7, 2027 at The Venetian Expo. Luxury opens two days earlier, June 2–7, 2027, in the same building.

How much is a booth at JCK?

JCK does not publish a booth rate card: space is sold by the JCK sales team after an online inquiry, and JCK offers turnkey booth packages for exhibitors who are not bringing a custom display, per JCK. Beyond the space, budget for showcases, lighting, security, freight to the advance warehouse, show labor and hotel rooms for JCK week, June 4–7, 2027 at The Venetian Expo. We build custom JCK booths from our Las Vegas hub with a fixed proposal. See our JCK booth guide.

Which shows run during JCK week in Las Vegas?

Five jewelry and gem events stack up in early June 2027: Luxury (June 2–7) and JCK (June 4–7) at The Venetian Expo, COUTURE (June 2–6) and the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show (June 3–6) at Wynn Las Vegas, and JOGS Las Vegas (June 2–6) at The Expo at World Market Center. Many brands show at one and hold meetings at another, so we plan freight, cases and staff across the buildings.

JIS Spring 2027 runs March 7–9, 2027 and JIS Fall 2027 runs September 17–20, 2027, both at the Miami Beach Convention Center. JIS Fall moves a month earlier than 2026 (October 16–19). JA New York Spring 2027 runs March 14–16, 2027 at the Javits Center for independent retail jewelers, with the MJSA Showcase pavilion for jewelry-making tools, equipment and services. For antique and estate dealers, the NYC Jewelry, Antique & Object Show runs November 19–22, 2026 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, with early buying for the trade; its 2027 dates are not confirmed yet. We build New York booths in our shop in Fishkill, NY. See our JA New York guide.

See our JIS booth guide.

Is the Atlanta Jewelry Show in Atlanta in 2027?

Not in spring. The Atlanta Jewelry Show Spring 2027 is at the Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, Georgia, with RetailFusion education on April 3 and the show floor April 4–5, 2027. It is run by the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association, which has produced the show since 1950.

Which U.S. trade shows are best for watch brands?

JCK and Luxury (June 2027, The Venetian Expo) group watch brands under Timepieces at Luxury & JCK. COUTURE (June 2–6, 2027, Wynn Las Vegas) shows designer jewelry houses and luxury watch brands to top retailers. For pre-owned and vintage watches, the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show runs June 3–6, 2027. JIS also lists watches among its product categories.

When is Watches and Wonders 2027?

Watches and Wonders Geneva 2027 runs April 5–11, 2027 in Geneva, Switzerland, where watch maisons present new models; the 2027 edition announces 13 new brands, plus Breitling, Damiani, Gallet and Universal Genève, per Watches and Wonders. It is outside the U.S. and not counted in this guide’s directory. In the U.S., watch brands show at Luxury and JCK, grouped under Timepieces at Luxury & JCK, and at COUTURE in early June 2027.

When is the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show 2027?

The Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show 2027 runs June 3–6, 2027 at Wynn Las Vegas, the same week as JCK and COUTURE. It is trade-only: antique, estate and vintage jewelry and timepiece dealers sell to trade buyers of estate jewelry and pre-owned watches. See our show guide.

Can Purple build for COUTURE or a hotel room show?

Yes, within what the hotel allows. COUTURE is by invitation, and exhibits are showroom spaces at Wynn Las Vegas rather than a convention hall; many Tucson dealers also sell from hotel rooms. For these spaces we build freestanding showcases, lighting, backdrops and graphics that roll through hotel corridors and elevators. Your project manager books delivery and pickup with the hotel.

How do you keep jewelry secure in a trade show booth?

We build security into the furniture: lockable showcases with keyed or coded locks, lockable storage under every counter, a position for your safe inside the booth and a short, clean route from case to storage at close of day. JCK and the Tucson shows each publish their own security and lock-up rules, and your jewelers block insurance sets its own conditions, so we plan the case count, the lock type and the staffing around both before production starts.

What lighting is best for a jewelry booth?

High color rendering (CRI 90 or higher) LED lighting inside the showcases, with color temperature matched to the product: cooler white (around 5000K to 6000K) brings out the fire in diamonds and platinum, warmer white (around 3000K) flatters yellow gold. Mixed collections often use both, case by case. We test your own pieces in a lit showcase before production, so glare and color are solved before the show.

How much does a jewelry trade show booth cost?

JCK, JIS, JA New York and AGTA GemFair sell space through their sales teams rather than a web rate card, and JCK also offers turnkey booth packages for exhibitors without a custom display. Plan on space, showcases, lighting, security, freight, labor and show-week hotels; at COUTURE the 2027 hotel rate is $284 a night plus a $35 daily resort fee. When we build a custom booth, sizes start at 10×20 with one all-in price. See the cost section.

How early should we start planning a JCK booth?

About three to four months before the show. Our builds take 30 to 45 days, and freight should reach the advance warehouse ahead of the contractor’s deadline. For JCK on June 4, 2027, that means signing off the design by early March 2027. For Tucson in late January, start in October or November 2026. Emerging designers aiming for COUTURE’s Design Atelier should apply by November 16, 2026.

11 SPEAK THE TRADE

Jewelry, watch and gem trade show glossary The buyer’s vocabulary.

Memo, keystone, parcel, calibrated, jewelers block. The words jewelers, gem dealers, watch buyers and show managers use every day, in plain English, so nothing gets lost between the case, the memo and the service desk.

Show all 28 terms

Selling & buying

Memo
Goods sent to a retailer on consignment: the store holds the jewelry or stones, pays only for what sells and returns the rest by an agreed date. Many diamond and gem suppliers meet new accounts at shows by offering memo terms.
Keystone
A retail markup that doubles the wholesale price. Jewelers often ask for a keystone or better margin, so the wholesale price on your line sheet decides whether a store can carry you.
Open-to-buy
The budget a store buyer still has to spend for a season. Jewelers often arrive at JCK with their holiday open-to-buy, which is why the first day of the show matters.
Line sheet
A short document listing every style in a collection with photo, style number, metal, stones, wholesale price, minimums and delivery windows. Buyers write orders from it at the booth.
Invitation-only
A show that vets exhibitors, buyers or both before they can attend, such as COUTURE and Luxury. Getting in usually means an application with references, invoices or a portfolio.
Resale certificate
A state document showing that a buyer purchases goods to resell them. Wholesale-only shows such as G&LW ask buyers for one at registration.
Buying group
An association of independent jewelers that negotiates terms with suppliers together and often holds its own events around the big shows. A buying group account can open many stores at once.

Diamonds, gems & watches

Lab-grown diamond
A diamond grown in a lab with the same chemistry and crystal structure as a mined diamond. Buyers expect lab-grown and natural stones to be labeled and displayed clearly apart.
Grading report
A lab document that records a diamond’s or gem’s measurements and quality. Buyers ask for the report number at the case before they discuss price.
The four Cs
Cut, color, clarity and carat weight: the four qualities a diamond is graded on. They drive price and appear on every grading report and line sheet.
Parcel
A lot of loose stones sold together, usually matched by size, shape or color. Gem dealers in Tucson and at JCK show parcels in papers or trays at the case.
Calibrated stones
Gems cut to standard millimeter sizes so they fit standard settings. Manufacturers buy calibrated parcels in volume, often in Tucson.
Findings
The small metal parts that make a piece of jewelry work: clasps, jump rings, ear wires and bails. Findings wholesalers exhibit at G&LW and JOGS.
Lapidary
The craft of cutting, shaping and polishing stones, and the person who does it. Lapidary tools and cut stones fill many Tucson show floors.
Specimen
A natural mineral or crystal sold for its form and color rather than cut for jewelry. Specimen dealers sell to collectors and museums, especially at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.
Bridal
Engagement rings, wedding bands and related pieces. Bridal is its own buying category at JCK and JIS, with its own buyers and often its own case in the booth.
Estate jewelry
Previously owned jewelry, from recent pieces to true antiques over 100 years old. Estate and antique dealers sell at the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show and the NYC Jewelry, Antique & Object Show.
Pre-owned watch
A watch sold again after its first owner, valued by reference, condition, papers and service history. Buyers inspect the movement and the dial up close, so the case light matters.

Security & insurance

Jewelers block insurance
An insurance policy built for jewelers that covers stock in the store, in transit and at shows. It often sets conditions for showcases, locks, staffing and overnight storage at a trade show.
Showcase lock
The keyed or coded lock on a jewelry showcase’s sliding doors. Show security rules and insurance policies often say how cases must be locked and who holds the keys.
Lock-up
The routine at close of day when staff clear the showcases and move the goods to the safe or the show’s vault. A good booth layout makes lock-up take minutes, not an hour.

Booth & show floor

CRI
Color rendering index: how faithfully a light shows color, on a scale to 100. Jewelry booths use LEDs of CRI 90 or higher so stones and metals look the same at the show as in the store.
Color temperature
How warm or cool white light looks, measured in kelvin. Cooler light brings out diamonds and platinum; warmer light flatters yellow gold.
Turnkey booth
A booth package the organizer sells with walls, showcases, lighting and furniture included. JCK offers turnkey packages for exhibitors without a custom display.
Hotel showroom
An exhibit space in a hotel room or suite rather than a convention hall, as at COUTURE and many Tucson shows. Displays must fit doors, corridors and elevators and follow the hotel’s rules.
Tucson showcase
The umbrella name for the roughly 50 independent gem, mineral and jewelry shows that run in Tucson from late January to mid February. Each show has its own owner, rules and buyer policy.
Advance warehouse
The general contractor’s warehouse that receives booth crates before the show and delivers them to the booth at move-in, for a material handling fee charged by weight.
Exhibitor appointed contractor (EAC)
An outside company the exhibitor hires to install the booth instead of the show’s own contractor. The exhibitor files a notice with the show before the deadline in the exhibitor manual.
