Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Exhibit space (paid to ASM International and the ASM Heat Treating Society)
- Drayage, or material handling, when it is not in the ASM Heat Treat space rate
- Electrical, internet and rigging orders for ASM Heat Treat
- Booth cleaning and any union labor the Greater Columbus Convention Center requires
Published rates:
- Booth space: $3,500 per 10×10 package plus $100 per corner, 2027 rate
- Hassle-Free Turnkey package: $1,850 for carpet, table, two chairs, electricity and wastebasket, 2027
- Session elevator pitch: $500 for a 3-minute pitch opening a technical session, 2027
- Drayage (Purple venue guide): About $130 per cwt, 200 lb minimum, Purple's 2026–27 Columbus planning figure
Key dates
- Last day to cancel Heat Treat 2027 space for a 25% refund: January 8, 2027
- Design sign-off with Purple: Late July 2027
- By January 8, 2027: Booth space paid in full with the signed contract; after this date ASM refunds nothing on a cancellation.
- Late July 2027: Design sign-off: equipment enclosure, utilities list and any structure above 8 feet sent to Show Management for approval.
- August to mid-September 2027: Production in Fishkill, NY over 30 to 45 days; enclosure panels and graphics test-fitted to your equipment dimensions.
- By September 12, 2027: Staff rooms booked before the Hilton Columbus Downtown block cutoff; crates leave for Columbus on the Exhibitor Service Manual freight dates.
- October 3–4, 2027: Early setup on Sunday by request for booths of 400 square feet or more, general setup Monday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with our project manager.
- October 5–6, 2027: Expo days; move-out starts at 5 p.m. Wednesday and the booth goes to storage or the next show.

Checklist
- Sign the ASM contract with full payment and list three booth choices in order
- Mark January 8, 2027, the last day for a partial refund
- List any equipment that runs hot, dirty or noisy and its utility needs (air, water, power)
- Decide whether an island over 400 square feet justifies the 14-foot height
- Arrange $1 million general liability coverage naming ASM International as additional insured
- Request Sunday, October 3 early setup if your booth is 400 square feet or more
- Book the Hilton, Canopy or Sonesta block before its September 2027 cutoff
