Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Booth space, paid to Design-Build Institute of America
- Drayage, or material handling, when it is not in the DBIA Design-Build Conference & Expo space rate
- Electrical service, internet and rigging
- Booth cleaning and any union labor the venue requires
Published rates:
- Booth space, members (2026): 10×10 inline $4,900, 10×20 $9,500, 20×20 $16,400 at the regular rate from May 2, 2026
- Booth space, non-members (2026): 10×10 inline $5,300, 10×20 $9,900, 20×20 $16,800 at the regular rate
- Sponsor packages (2026): Bronze $8,500 to Diamond $50,000 with booth; each adds priority points for 2027 space
- Digital signs (2026): $500 each in the Expo Hall, registration or session areas
Key dates
- Design sign-off with Purple: About 10 weeks before move-in
- When DBIA names the 2027 city: Choose your space and size; sponsors get priority points for 2027 space selection under the 2026 packages.
- About 10 weeks before move-in: Design sign-off: project wall, demo screen, counter and lead-capture station approved.
- 6 to 4 weeks before move-in: Production in Fishkill, NY within 30 to 45 days; DBIA's written outside-contractor request filed.
- About 3 weeks before move-in: Freight ships to the show's warehouse; carpet, furniture, electrical and AV orders placed.
- Move-in days: Our project manager builds and finishes at least one hour before the Expo Hall opens, as DBIA requires.
- Closing day, 2027 dates not confirmed yet: Dismantle starts when DBIA opens move-out; the kit ships to storage or your next construction show.

Checklist
- Watch DBIA's conference page for the 2027 city and dates
- Decide whether a sponsorship's priority points are worth it for 2027 space
- Pay 50% within 30 days of contract and the balance 180 days out
- Send DBIA the written request naming your outside contractor
- Order carpet, furniture, electrical, AV and lead retrieval
- Pick two finished design-build projects with owner results for the wall
- Staff for receptions and lunches, when the Expo Hall is open
- Plan follow-up meetings with owners on DBIA scholarships
