What makes ESX different, and how we build for it
ESX is the Electronic Security Association’s own show, and it is built for the channel: under the Marketplace Access Policy there is no access for end users, so every visitor installs, integrates or monitors for a living. The 2027 expo floor runs only seven hours across two days, June 29 and 30, around Main Stage keynotes and the Executive Experience track for owners. The ESX Innovation Awards put new products in the spotlight, and ESA’s Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year honors the industry’s leaders. A booth here must start a dealer conversation in seconds and close it at a table.
A private table to talk margins, RMR, financing and dealer programs, with someone senior enough to make a deal on the floor.
Hands-on demos of access control, video, intrusion and fire panels, with installation time, programming and compatibility answered by a technician.
Clear dealer support materials: co-branded marketing, training, pricing tiers and the lead programs that help them sell your product.
Your team in Tampa
Two shops, one project manager, every hall
We build in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, and our Las Vegas hub, ship to the Tampa Convention Center, and install with our own project manager on the floor and vetted local labor. Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA.
Your team walks into a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.

Popular booth sizes at ESX
ESX sells 10×10, 10×20 and 20×20 footprints, with three, five and eight Expo Only Passes each, and larger islands go to manufacturers and monitoring centers. We recommend a 10×20 with a live demo wall and a meeting table for a dealer program, or a 20×20 built around private owner meetings.

A live demo wall running access control or video on a monitor, plus a semi-private table for owner conversations.

Case study · KLEEMANN
KLEEMANN at a industrial technology exhibition
An interactive booth for a global elevator manufacturer: digital simulations, real product showcases and a floor plan that guided visitors from first step to last.
Different industry, same problem: KLEEMANN needed live product and simulations to walk visitors through a technical story, just as ESX dealers expect working demos before they talk terms.

04 Designing for electronic security, alarm and monitoring brands at ESX
Four things we get right for ESX exhibitors
1Design for seven hours of floor time
With the expo open only two short sessions, every minute counts. We put the demo on the aisle edge, keep the message to one line a dealer can read in passing, and set up your booked meetings so they never block walk-up traffic.
2Make every demo live and wired
Integrators want to see a door unlock, a camera stream and an alarm signal reach the monitoring screen. We plan hard-wired network drops, dedicated circuits and hidden equipment cabinets so the demo works the moment the floor opens.
Build real meeting space
ESX buyers are owners who sign dealer agreements on the floor. A closable meeting room or a screened table with a display for pricing and RMR models lets your team close business without leaving the booth.
Show the dealer program, not just hardware
Dealers buy support as much as product. We give real wall space to training, marketing support, financing and monitoring partnerships, so the booth answers the question every integrator owner brings to ESX: how does my company make money with you.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this
You see the booth in 3D before we cut a single panel: layout, graphics, lighting and product positions, revised until it is right. Shown: a Purple concept for Yotsugi.

Logistics for ESX 2027, handled
The Tampa Convention Center is city-run in a right-to-work state: your full-time staff can set up with hand tools, and we file the ESX Exhibitor Appointed Contractor form by May 27. T3 Expo is the general service contractor, so freight goes to its advance warehouse from May 20 and must land by June 17 to avoid surcharges, with about $155 per hundredweight as a 2026 planning number. Electrical, rigging and internet are ordered from the center, not T3, with Edlen handling electrical. Docks sit on the east side off Channelside Drive. We book every order and install with our own project manager and vetted local labor.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Tampa Convention Center exhibitor guide.
Hall guide
ESX fills the Tampa Convention Center Exhibit Hall, a single-level hall on the waterfront, with hall-connected meeting rooms and a carpeted ballroom used for general sessions.
About 200,000 square feet on one level with a concrete floor, divisible into halls; islands and hanging signs are routine.
Our advice: Heavy demo cabinets and monitoring walls roll straight in from the east docks, so a 20×20 with a hanging sign suits the hall.
Eighteen rooms added in 2024, nine of them opening directly into the hall, with bay views.
Our advice: Booking one gives you a private dealer agreement room steps from your booth without building walls on the floor.
Direct dock access from the Selmon Expressway; marshaling runs through T3 Expo, usually within a mile of the center.
Our advice: We schedule carrier slots ahead of the 8 am June 28 move-in so your booth is set well before 11 am June 29.

Printable budget & deadline sheetESX exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before ESX
How much does a booth at ESX 2027 cost?
A dealer-program 10×20 rental runs $7,500 to $15,000; a 10×10 rental starts at $3,500, and a custom 20×20 island built for owner meetings runs $50,000 to $120,000. At ESX the number moves with wired demo walls, enclosed meeting rooms and hanging signs. Booth space comes from ESA and show services from T3 Expo and the center, billed separately.
What is the deadline to order a booth for ESX?
The ESX Exhibitor Appointed Contractor form is due May 27, 2027, and T3 Expo advance discounts close June 3. For a custom booth we need design sign-off by mid-April 2027, which leaves a 30–45 day build and time to wire and test every demo before it ships.
Can we rent a booth for ESX, and what does a rental include?
Yes. A rental covers the structure, your printed graphics, a demo counter or wall, a meeting table, lighting, shipping and installation. Many security brands rent the frame and own the demo kit, so the readers, cameras and panels they wire once travel from show to show.
Can we set up our own booth at the Tampa Convention Center?
Your full-time employees can set up with hand tools, because the city-run center sits in a right-to-work state. Any outside installer must be filed on the ESX EAC form by May 27. We file it, then install with our project manager between 8 am June 28 and the 11 am June 29 set deadline.
How do live demos work on the ESX floor?
Electrical, rigging and internet are center exclusives, with Edlen handling power and SmartCity Networks on Wi-Fi. We order dedicated circuits and hard-wired network drops for access control, video and monitoring demos, hide the gear in locked cabinets, and test each feed before the expo opens at 2 pm June 29.
What does drayage cost at ESX and who pays it?
T3 Expo bills material handling to the exhibitor by weight. Purple plans Tampa at about $155 per hundredweight (2026 planning rate) plus the standard minimum. Freight that reaches the advance warehouse after June 17 carries surcharges, so we ship early and put the drayage estimate on your proposal.
Can we reuse the ESX booth at other shows?
Yes. Security brands often carry the same kit from ISC West in Las Vegas to ESX and on to the ALOA Security Expo in Rosemont. We design the frame to reconfigure between 10×20 and island footprints and store it between shows, with graphics refreshed for each audience.
Where is the ESX exhibit hall in the Tampa Convention Center?
ESX runs in the center’s Exhibit Hall, a single 200,000 square foot level with a concrete floor and direct docks on the east side off Channelside Drive. Waterfront meeting rooms open straight into the hall, which makes private dealer meetings behind a booth easy to arrange.
We already own a booth. Can you refresh it and install it at ESX?
We inspect and repair your existing exhibit, reprint graphics with current dealer program messaging, add wiring for new demos, ship it to the T3 advance warehouse, install it in Tampa with our project manager and store it afterwards. Every fee is listed upfront on the proposal.
Before you sign with anyone
Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for ESX:
- Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
- Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
- Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
