FDIC 2027 booth design & build in Indianapolis
Custom and rental exhibits for apparatus, PPE, tools and fire service software, built so a department crew can inspect the product together. Purple designs the booth, files the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium paperwork, and installs with our Indianapolis crew.

What makes FDIC different, and how we build for it
FDIC International is the largest training event for the fire and rescue industry in North America, run by Clarion Fire and Rescue, with exhibits across five areas: the Indiana Convention Center halls, Lucas Oil Stadium, the LOS Connector Hall, the Capitol Corridor and the Outdoor Exhibits & Demo Area. Visitors spend their mornings in hands-on training evolutions, in the Metro Fire Officers Summit, the EMS Innovation Summit, the Industrial Fire Summit and the Aircraft Fire and Rescue Summit, then walk the floor with questions about apparatus, PPE and tools. Your booth has to answer those questions in the first minute, whether you are parked next to a pumper in the stadium or holding a 10×10 in the ICC.
A standing-height table away from the demo where a department can talk specs, budget cycles and grant timing, plus a spec sheet they can take back to the station.
Hands on the tool, the SCBA or the compartment, a fitting demo with sizes in reach, and a staff member who has worked a fireground and can answer the follow-up.
One familiar workflow demonstrated on a shared screen or a repeatable evolution, with a separate operator station so a small group can watch without blocking the aisle.

Booth options for FDIC 2027
Pick a footprint. We’ll price it as a rental, a custom build, or a hybrid.
FDIC floors run from station-bay apparatus displays to 10×10 tool and PPE booths, and the mix follows the area: full trucks in Lucas Oil Stadium and outdoors, denser inline booths in the ICC halls and the Capitol Corridor. Most Purple clients here choose a 10×20 with a handling counter or a 20×20 island built around one apparatus.

One tool or PPE line on a rugged handling counter, a back wall that names the application from the aisle, and concealed storage for sizes and wipes.

A fitting station for helmets, gloves or SCBA plus a separate screen for software or a captioned video, with a small talk table at the end.
See 10×20 rental booths →
One apparatus or a skid unit with room for doors and compartments open, a hanging sign, and a standing meeting point for a visiting department.
See 20×20 rental booths →
Apparatus plus a live demo bay, a PPE handling zone, a private meeting room for procurement talks and storage for spare units and demo consumables.
See 20×30 rental booths →All-in 2026 ranges for design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle; booth space, drayage and show services are separate. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show. Designing for fire, rescue and EMS equipment brands at FDIC
Four things we get right for FDIC exhibitors

The opened truck is the footprint
We draw your apparatus with every door, drawer, step and compartment open, then place graphics, monitors and furniture outside those envelopes. A visiting crew gathers on one side, so the welcome message and a freestanding product diagram sit where open doors will not hide them.

Build a handling counter that resets fast
Fitting and handling units live on a dedicated surface with accessories and replacement sizes in drawers underneath, and a marked return spot so used samples never mix with untouched display pieces. One well-explained comparison outperforms a wall of products nobody can reach.
Plan for a crew, not a visitor
Department groups of four to six evaluate together. We give the first explanation a defined home, keep a second route open for individuals, and add a standing-height requirements table so staff can record the product version and next step while the demo resets.
Show the feature at eye level
Compartments, valve panels and pump controls sit above or below a comfortable sightline. We add a duplicate component, an annotated close-up or a camera feed to a monitor so shorter visitors and the back of the group see the same detail, under lighting that handles a noisy hall.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this
You see the booth in 3D before we cut a single panel: layout, graphics, lighting and product positions, revised until it is right. Shown: a Purple concept for iProov.

Logistics for FDIC 2027, handled
The Indiana Convention Center is a union building: install, dismantle and drayage run on union labor, dock and freight door access belongs to Teamsters crews, and hand-carry is limited to a public entrance. FDIC adds a second address, Lucas Oil Stadium at 500 South Capitol Avenue, plus the LOS Connector Hall, the Capitol Corridor and the Outdoor Exhibits & Demo Area, and each has its own move-in schedule. We read the FDIC exhibitor kit, order material handling at our planning rate of about $135 per hundredweight with a 200-pound minimum, ship to the advance warehouse, and put our Indianapolis crew on the floor for install, with the skywalk hotels a dry walk away.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Indiana Convention Center exhibitor guide.

FDIC exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before FDIC
How much does a 20×20 at FDIC cost?
A complete 20×20 custom island for FDIC lands between $50,000 and $120,000 for design, structure, graphics and installation, and a 20×20 rental island runs $16,000 to $40,000. An apparatus display adds spotting and open-door planning but little structure; send us the truck dimensions and we return a fixed quote.
Can you install at Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana Convention Center?
Yes. Both buildings run union labor for install and dismantle, and our Indianapolis crew works with those rules every season. We order the labor, handle the docks through the show contractor and set your booth in whichever area you are assigned: stadium, ICC hall, LOS Connector Hall or Capitol Corridor.
Can we rent a booth for FDIC?
Yes. A 10×10 rental runs $3,500 to $8,000 and a 10×20 rental $7,500 to $15,000, with your graphics, a rugged handling counter and lighting included. Many first-time FDIC exhibitors start with a rental and add a custom fitting station or demo screen the following year.
When do we need to decide?
Design sign-off by late January gives a comfortable 30 to 45 day build and a mid-March ship to the advance warehouse ahead of the April 15 opening. We can move faster; the trade-off is finish choices and freight cost, and apparatus drawings need to be locked at sign-off.
Do you handle show contractor orders and drayage at the ICC?
Yes. We file the booth-related forms in the FDIC exhibitor kit, order material handling, electrical and rigging through the show contractor, schedule your freight target and keep you copied on every deadline so nothing depends on a form you did not know about.
