Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Exhibit space (paid to American Fence Association)
- Material handling / drayage, where the space rate does not include it
- Electrical service, internet and rigging at the Phoenix Convention Center
- Cleaning, plus any union labor the venue requires
Published rates:
- Booth space, AFA member: $30.50 per sq ft ($3,050 per 10×10) after August 1, 2026
- Booth space, non-member: $38.50 per sq ft ($3,850 per 10×10) after August 1, 2026
- Corner premium: $250 per booth corner in premium zones, 2027
- Drayage: About $140 per cwt, 200 lb minimum (Purple's Phoenix planning figure, 2026–2027)
Key dates
- Full booth balance due to AFA: November 1, 2026
- Design sign-off with Purple: Mid-December 2026
- By November 1, 2026: Booth balance paid to AFA; we confirm your space, corners and floor plan location.
- November 2026: The Online Exhibitor Services Manual and Expo Group portal open; we place carpet, electrical and freight orders.
- Mid-December 2026: Design sign-off, about 10 weeks before move-in: fence runs, gates, operators, power and graphics approved.
- Late December 2026 to early February 2027: Production in Fishkill, NY over 30 to 45 days, with gates hung and operators bench-tested.
- February 2027: Crates ship to The Expo Group's warehouse; certificate of insurance naming AFA filed for March 1–5.
- March 2–5, 2027: Move-in March 2, show floor March 3–5, dismantle from 1 p.m. on March 5 with the floor clear by 9 p.m.

Checklist
- Pay the booth balance to AFA by November 1, 2026
- Check AFA membership for the $30.50 member rate
- Order carpet, electrical and freight from The Expo Group when the manual opens in November
- File a certificate of insurance naming AFA for March 1–5, 2027
- Choose which gates and operators run live, and their power needs
- Book rooms through the ATS link after registering
- Plan Tuesday, March 2 as the full build day
- Schedule booth staff around Certification Exams and the Industry Excellence Awards
