Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Your Greenbuild booth space, paid to the organizer
- Material handling / drayage, if the Greenbuild space rate leaves it out
- Electrical, internet and rigging orders for Greenbuild
- Booth cleaning and whatever union labor the Greenbuild venue requires
Published rates:
- Drayage: About $210 per cwt, 200 lb minimum, 2026–2027 planning figure
- Late or uncrated freight: 25 to 35 percent surcharge, 2026–2027 planning figure
Key dates
- Design sign-off with Purple: Mid-August 2027
- Now to spring 2027: Reserve space with Greenbuild's sales team; we sketch footprints against the floor plan and pick reusable frame and fabric options for the GMEGG survey.
- Mid-August 2027: Design sign-off; renderings for booths of 400 square feet or more, hanging-sign drawings and any demo descriptions prepared for show management.
- Late August to September 2027: Production in Fishkill, NY over 30 to 45 days; LED lighting, recycled-content flooring and graphics documented for your GMEGG answers.
- September 2027: GMEGG survey, service orders and freight to the advance warehouse on the dates in the 2027 exhibitor manual.
- Move-in, days before October 20, 2027: Our project manager and vetted Chicago labor build the booth at McCormick Place and test lighting before the expo opens.
- October 20–21, 2027: Expo days; after the close we pack every component out, then ship to storage or your next building show.

Checklist
- Reserve booth space with Greenbuild's sales team and send us the contract and booth number
- Collect your EPDs, recycled-content and certification data for the booth graphics
- Sign off the design by mid-August 2027 so renderings reach show management in time
- Complete the GMEGG survey before arriving, using our material and lighting write-up
- Book Education Labs, Innovation Stage or Technology Showcase slots with your Informa contact
- Pre-book meetings for October 20 and 21, the only two expo days
- List any items you plan to donate and file them for advance approval
