Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Exhibit space (paid to Intersolar & Energy Storage North America)
- Material handling (drayage) at the San Diego Convention Center, where the space rate does not include it
- Electrical, internet and rigging orders for IESNA
- Booth cleaning, and union labor where the San Diego Convention Center requires it
Published rates:
- Startup Pavilion package: $3,400 for a 10×10 with pipe and drape, 5-amp drop and 5 badges, 2027
- Drayage (planning): About $176 per cwt, 200 lb minimum, Purple planning estimate for 2026 and 2027
- Solar Games prizes: $16,000 in total prizes, $10,000 to the winning team, 2027
Key dates
- Guest names due on IESNA hotel room blocks of 10+ rooms (5 p.m. EST): December 17, 2026
- Design sign-off with Purple: Mid-November 2026
- Now to early November 2026: Book space with IESNA sales; send product list, weights and the install demo you want to run.
- Mid-November 2026: Design sign-off, about 10 weeks before move-in: walls, demo platform, lighting and graphics approved.
- Late November to December 2026: Production over 30 to 45 days; roof mockup and battery wall dry-fitted before crating.
- December 17, 2026: Guest names due on any IESNA hotel room block of 10 or more rooms; unnamed rooms are released.
- January 2027: Contractor, electrical and lead retrieval orders filed; freight ships to the advance warehouse in San Diego.
- February 9–11, 2027: Exhibit hall open; our project manager stays on site, then dismantles after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Checklist
- Book space with IESNA sales or apply to the Startup Pavilion
- Choose which buyer segments the back wall speaks to: residential, C&I, utility-scale
- List demo hardware with weights and any power the demo needs
- Send exhibitor list profile and product categories for the 2027 directory
- Register booth staff and book Maritz rooms in the same portal
- Name every guest on a 10+ room block by December 17, 2026
- Plan meetings for February 9 and 10; the hall closes at 2 p.m. on the 11th
- Send expo hall invitations to your customer list early
