Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Your MODEX booth space, paid to the organizer
- Material handling (drayage) at the Georgia World Congress Center, where the space rate does not include it
- Electrical service, internet and rigging at the Georgia World Congress Center
- Booth cleaning and whatever union labor the MODEX venue requires
Published rates:
- Booth space, MHI members: $39 per sq ft, MODEX 2028 rate
- Booth space, non-members: $49 per sq ft, MODEX 2028 rate
- Space Draw savings: $2 per sq ft plus an additional 5%, applied December 8–11, 2026
- Drayage (Purple venue guide): About $150 per cwt, 200 lb minimum, Purple's 2026–27 GWCC planning figure
Key dates
- MODEX 2028 lease and 10% deposit due to join the Space Draw: November 20, 2026
- Design sign-off with Purple: Late January 2028
- November 20, 2026: MODEX 2028 lease and 10% deposit due at 5 p.m. ET to join the Space Draw; we help write your six booth choices.
- December 8–11, 2026: Space Draw in Loyalty Points order, by phone or by proxy; ranking list emailed by December 3.
- Late January 2028: Design sign-off with motion envelopes, power and air needs fixed, about 10 weeks before move-in.
- February to early March 2028: Production in our Fishkill, NY shop over 30 to 45 days; graphics proofed against your equipment.
- Late March 2028: Freight to the advance warehouse, then targeted move-in at the slot MHI's exhibitor manual assigns.
- April 3–5, 2028: Show days 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., then targeted move-out, equipment crated and the booth to storage.

Checklist
- Sign the MODEX 2028 lease and send the 10% deposit by November 20, 2026
- List six booth choices and comments, such as island or backwall needs
- Choose phone or proxy for the December 8–11 Space Draw
- Check that the booth reaches 600 square feet if you want a hanging sign
- List each machine, AMR and conveyor with weight, power, air and data
- Avoid Last In, First Out booths if your system takes days to build
- Book rooms through onPeak for the free MODEX shuttles
- Approve the design by late January 2028
