Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Your SME MINEXCHANGE booth space, paid to the organizer
- Material handling at the Colorado Convention Center, when the space rate does not include it
- Electrical service, internet and rigging at the Colorado Convention Center
- Booth cleaning, and union labor where the Colorado Convention Center requires it
Published rates:
- Booth space: $3,200 per standard 10×10, $3,400 per corner 10×10, 2027
- Cancellation or reduction fee: $500 per 10×10, plus full booth cost after September 30, 2026
- Drayage: About $160 per cwt, 200 lb minimum, 2026–27 planning figure
Key dates
- Last day to buy space and be listed in the MINEXCHANGE 2027 onsite program: January 15, 2027
- Design sign-off with Purple: Mid-December 2026
- Mid-December 2026: Design sign-off, island drawings to show management and any double-deck engineering stamped.
- January 2027: Production over 30 to 45 days; guarded plinths, back-wall graphics and the meeting space built and tested.
- Early February 2027: Crates ship to the Freeman address in the Exhibitor Service Kit; machinery forms, electrical and labor orders placed.
- February 26–28, 2027: Move-in Friday from 11 a.m. for 10×20 and larger, Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday until 2 p.m.
- February 28–March 3, 2027: Expo days, from the Sunday Opening Reception to the Wednesday 1 p.m. close.
- March 3–4, 2027: Move-out Wednesday 1 to 8 p.m. and Thursday until noon; booth to storage or your next mining show.

Checklist
- Note your booth number and type (inline, perimeter or island) from SME's floorplan
- List every component or machine with weight, dimensions and power needs
- Decide which items will run and need guarding
- Send ShowGuide content before December 4, 2026 and January 5, 2027
- Book rooms through Maritz Global Events before the January 2027 rate cutoff
- Sign off the design by mid-December 2026
- Plan staff for the Sunday reception and the Tuesday Afternoon Social
- Send logos, technical data and site photography to Purple
