Luxury frames against the Hudson: EYECON 2027 booth displays in New York

EYECON is a B2B luxury eyewear experience where heritage houses and new labels show to boutique retailers, so a display there reads like a flagship store, not a trade booth. We build lit vitrines, frame walls and lounge pieces for The Glasshouse at 660 12th Avenue, near the Hudson.

  • Mar 5–7 · The Glasshouse NYC
  • Luxury eyewear, B2B only
  • Fri–Sat 10am–7pm

What makes EYECON different, and how we build for it

EYECON describes itself as a B2B luxury eyewear event, built by founder and creative director Tarrence Lackran, whose past roles include Luxury Optical Holdings, New Look Vision Group and The Vision Council. It brings iconic houses together with new voices, and its 2026 brand partners ranged from DITA, Silhouette and Off-White Eyewear to Paloceras, Port Tanger and brands making their U.S. debut. An advisory board of boutique owners, among them Line Of Sight, Black Optical and Gogosha Optique, shapes the program, and the EYECONVERSATIONS talks run alongside the floor. Set at The Glasshouse on 12th Avenue, the show treats eyewear as fashion and design, and for 2027 it widens its focus to emerging designers and retailers.

Luxury boutique owners

Owners like those on EYECON's advisory board buy on design authority and exclusivity; they want to see a collection presented as it would be in their store and hear what else is coming.

Eye care practitioners with a fashion optical

Optometrists with a high-end dispensary look for frames that set the practice apart, with fit and materials explained by someone who knows the line.

Press and creatives

Fashion and trade editors and content creators cover launches and debuts, so a hero frame needs a clean, well-lit spot to be photographed.

Your team in New York

One project manager, two shops, the whole EYECON build

Your EYECON booth is built in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, or at our Las Vegas hub, shipped to the Glasshouse and installed by vetted local labor with our own project manager on the floor. Every EYECON build runs a predictable 30 to 45 days and gets a pre-show QA, with secure storage after.

Your staff walks onto the EYECON floor and the booth is already lit and stocked. You just show up.

New at EYECON 2027

  1. A wider focus on the next generation

EYECON says its 2027 edition will expand to highlight emerging designers, visionary retailers and boundary-pushing creatives alongside established houses. Newer labels should expect more attention from buyers and press, and established brands more company on the floor. source

Rules that shape your EYECON booth

Brand partners are selected

EYECON states that its brand partners are each selected for design authority, craftsmanship and global point of view, and brands apply through its registration page. We help you present a collection that meets that bar.

Organizer rule

Sunday closes at 3 p.m.

EYECON keeps its doors open until 7 p.m. on the Friday and Saturday but ends the show at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2027. We plan the pack-down for that early close and book pickup for the same evening.

Organizer rule

A trade event for professionals

EYECON describes itself as a B2B experience for the eyewear community, with complimentary 2027 passes for professionals. We design the display for buyers and press, with line sheets and order forms ready rather than retail price tags.

Popular booth sizes at EYECON

EYECON selects its brand partners and does not publish booth sizes or rates; brands apply to exhibit through the show's registration page. Displays are brand-made, so we build to whatever space EYECON assigns: vitrines, frame walls, a lounge seat and lighting, not a modular trade booth.

04 Designing for luxury, designer and emerging eyewear brands at EYECON

Four things we get right for EYECON exhibitors

Round and geometric sunglasses with gradient lenses on a white surface1

Light that ignores the room

An event venue mixes daylight and house lighting that shift between the 10 a.m. opening and the 7 p.m. close. We light frames with their own high color-rendering LEDs and use matte backdrops, so acetate colors and gold finishes look the same all day at 660 12th Avenue.

Three metal sunglasses with chains on a dark textured surface, in black and white2

A flagship, not a stand

EYECON presents eyewear as fashion and identity. We take cues from your own boutique fixtures: the same wood, metal or lacquer, the same frame spacing, so a retailer sees exactly how your collection will look in their store.

Rose-gold sunglasses resting on soft fabric3

Launch moments need a stage

EYECON promotes exclusive launches and U.S. debuts. We give the launch frame a single plinth at eye level with a short story panel, placed where press can photograph it without blocking buyers at the trays.

Young woman trying on eyeglasses in an optical store4

Three days, two different crowds

Friday and Saturday run until 7 p.m. and Sunday closes at 3 p.m. We design the lounge corner for long Friday and Saturday appointments and make the display quick to pack on Sunday afternoon, ready for Vision Expo in Las Vegas the following week.

05 The Glasshouse · New York

Logistics for EYECON 2027, handled

EYECON runs at The Glasshouse, an event venue at 660 12th Avenue on the Hudson River in Midtown West, not a convention center, so there is no general service contractor tariff or exhibit hall marshaling yard. Load-in follows the venue's own schedule and Manhattan street rules. We build displays in cases sized for a passenger or freight elevator, deliver them with our project manager, and hold the kit between EYECON, LOFT New York the same week and Vision Expo in Las Vegas.

What Purple handles

  • Lit vitrines and plinths for launch frames
  • Frame walls finished in your boutique materials
  • Lounge and try-on furniture
  • Road cases sized for Manhattan venue elevators
  • Delivery and pickup at 660 12th Avenue
  • Routing the same kit to LOFT New York or Vision Expo

Your EYECON timeline, from move-in back

We need design sign-off by December 2026.

  1. December 2026Design sign-off: vitrines, frame wall and lounge pieces agreed with the space EYECON assigns.
  2. January 2027Production in our shop; frames fitted to the rails and lighting tested on your finishes.
  3. Late February 2027Display packed in road cases; delivery booked with the venue's load-in schedule.
  4. March 5–7, 2027EYECON at The Glasshouse; our project manager delivers, sets and collects the display.
  5. March 8, 2027Kit ships on to Vision Expo in Las Vegas or back to storage.

Purple's planning timeline for EYECON. Official move-in, freight target and order deadlines for EYECON come from your exhibitor kit and assigned schedule; we confirm them against your booth when you book.

EYECON exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before EYECON

When is EYECON 2027?

EYECON 2027 opens Friday, March 5 and closes Sunday, March 7, 2027 in New York. Doors open at 10 a.m. each day; the floor stays open until 7 p.m. on the first two days and closes at 3 p.m. on Sunday, according to eyecon.show.

Where is EYECON held?

EYECON is held at The Glasshouse, 660 12th Avenue, New York, NY 10019, on the Hudson River in Midtown West. The show offers attendees exclusive rates at the Kimpton Theta hotel.

What is EYECON?

EYECON is a B2B luxury eyewear show in New York created by Tarrence Lackran, who earlier held roles at Luxury Optical Holdings, New Look Vision Group and The Vision Council. It brings heritage eyewear houses and emerging labels together for launches, brand experiences and talks.

Who exhibits at EYECON?

EYECON's 2026 brand partners included DITA, Silhouette, Off-White Eyewear, Palm Angels, Gigi Studios, Italia Independent, Factory900, AHLEM, Paloceras and SATO Eyewear, plus brands making their U.S. debut. EYECON says each partner is selected for design authority, craftsmanship and global point of view.

Who attends EYECON?

EYECON is built for eyewear professionals: boutique optical retailers, buyers and eye care practitioners, along with creatives and press. Its eight-member advisory board includes leaders from Line Of Sight, Black Optical, SOMA Optical, Gogosha Optique and Salle Opticians.

How do we exhibit at EYECON?

Brands apply to exhibit through the registration page on eyecon.show, and EYECON selects its brand partners. EYECON does not publish pricing or space sizes, so we design the display once your space is assigned.

Is EYECON free to attend?

EYECON offers complimentary passes for 2027 to eyewear professionals who register through its attendee link. It is a trade event, not a consumer show.

What is new at EYECON 2027?

For 2027 EYECON says it will expand its mission to highlight the next generation of luxury eyewear, including emerging designers, visionary retailers and boundary-pushing creatives, while still featuring established brands.

Is EYECON the same weekend as LOFT?

EYECON runs March 5–7, 2027 and LOFT New York runs March 4–6 on West 28th Street, so the two overlap. Both fall the week before Vision Expo, which opens in Las Vegas on March 10.

Can we bring a trade show booth to EYECON?

EYECON presents brands as luxury experiences in an event venue, not in a hall of modular booths. We build what suits it: vitrines, frame walls, lighting and lounge pieces sized to the space you are given.

What are EYECONVERSATIONS?

EYECONVERSATIONS is EYECON's conversation series, listed in the show's main menu next to the floor and registration. Brands interested in a talk slot raise it with EYECON through the client care page.

Can Purple deliver and set up our EYECON display?

Our project manager delivers the display to 660 12th Avenue, sets it with your team and collects it after the Sunday close. We store it or send it on to Vision Expo in Las Vegas the next week.

How should we light frames at The Glasshouse?

Do not rely on the room: an event space changes from daylight to evening light over a 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. day. We put dedicated high color-rendering LEDs inside each vitrine and along the frame rails, with matte backdrops, so finishes read the same at opening and at close.

Before you sign for EYECON

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for EYECON:

  1. Will the proposal show every EYECON fee, including show contractor charges?
  2. Who actually builds it for EYECON: your shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your own project manager be at EYECON for install and dismantle?
  4. What does the rental include, and what is billed by EYECON?
  5. What happens to the booth after EYECON, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it to the Glasshouse, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for and bring it to EYECON.

Exhibiting from outside the US? For EYECON, we act as your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, and one project manager who answers your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? In two to three weeks, a rental with your graphics can be ready for New York. On the first call, we tell you what is realistic for EYECON.
