Vision Expo is the optical industry's single annual marketplace now that RX and The Vision Council folded Vision Expo East and Vision Expo West into one show in 2026.The 2026 edition in Orlando, the show's 40th anniversary, drew 8,000+ professionals from 92 countries to 115,000 square feet of floor. After the first unified show in Orlando in 2026, Vision Expo moves to The Venetian Expo for March 10–13, 2027. Freight now rides to a Level 2 hall, so crates must fit the venue's freight elevators, and West Coast exhibitors gain a short trip. source

The 2027 manual splits the show by level: registration and exhibits in Halls A and B on Level 2, education on Level 1. Doctors come up to the floor between courses, so demo times should follow the course schedule. source
Inside Vision Expo 2027
Rules that shape your Vision Expo booth
In Halls A and B inline booths stop at 8 feet, peninsulas at 15, islands under 1,000 sq ft at 20 and larger islands at 28, and Vision Expo grants no variances on site. We draw every frame wall and tower to those numbers before production.
Only island, peninsula or walk-through booths of 400 sq ft or more, in a 20×20 format or larger, may hang a sign, and none in the Independent Design area or Innovation Center. We engineer the sign and order motorized rigging from the Venetian Expo by February 10, 2027.
Vision Expo's rules state that no exhibitor signage may contain or display product pricing, and walls facing a neighbor must be finished and clear of copy. We keep prices on tablets and line sheets and finish every rear panel in neutral fabric.
Booths in the Eyewear, Eyecare, Business Solutions and Tech, and Pharma neighborhoods are not carpeted, and Freeman installs carpet at the exhibitor's cost if none is down by 5 p.m. on March 10, 2027. We ship a finished floor with the booth.
At The Venetian Expo all electrical work, including booth lighting, is done exclusively by the venue's electricians, and professional photography is limited to press badge holders. We pre-wire frame-wall lighting to one connection point and order power by February 10.

Vision Expo publishes no rate card; RX's sales team prices space, and members of The Vision Council get discounted rates. Four things we get right for Vision Expo exhibitors
1Frame walls at try-on height
Frames sell when a buyer can lift one off the wall and see it at a mirror within a step. We set shelves between waist and eye level, light each run with high color-rendering LED strips so acetate colors read true, and keep the 8-foot inline limit in the Eyewear area.
2Lens and device demos need a quiet corner
In the Eyecare area, autorefractors, edgers and imaging devices draw small crowds that Vision Expo rules keep inside your space. We give the demo its own counter with power fed by the Venetian Expo electricians, a screen at seated eye level and room for three people behind the aisle line.
3Bring your own floor
Booths in the Eyewear, Eyecare, Business Solutions and Tech, and Pharma neighborhoods are not carpeted; Freeman lays flooring at your cost if none is down by 5 p.m. on March 10, 2027. We build a raised or tiled floor into the booth so the frame displays and wiring sit level from day one.
4No prices on the walls
Vision Expo bans product pricing on exhibitor signage and requires the back of every wall facing a neighbor to be finished and clear of graphics. We keep price lists on tablets and printed line sheets at the order table, and finish every rear panel in a neutral fabric.

Vision Expo 2027 puts registration and the exhibit floor on Level 2 of The Venetian Expo, in Halls A and B, and the education program on Level 1. Each part of the floor has its own rules.
Halls A and B, Eyewear and Eyecare
The main floor, organized by neighborhood: Eyewear, Eyecare, Business Solutions and Tech, and Pharma. Inline 8 feet, islands up to 20 or 28 feet; booths arrive without carpet.
Our advice Plan a floor in your build and confirm your neighborhood early; the frame side and the device side draw different visitors at different hours.
Independent Design area, Hall B
The curated section for artisan, emerging and boutique frame labels. All booths 8 feet; no custom booths, hanging signs or pop-up banners; move-in on March 10.
Our advice Here we supply graphics, lit frame displays and a counter that fit the organizer's booth rather than a custom structure.
Innovation Center and Innovation Stage
In 2026 the Innovation Center showed more than 20 technology companies, including VSP Vision Innovation Challenge finalists, beside the Innovation Stage in the Eyecare area. Hanging signs are not allowed there.
Our advice Startups and digital-health firms here need compact demo counters and screens rather than height; we build them to travel.
Level 1, education and Exhibitor Service Center
Courses run on Level 1, and Freeman and the other official contractors staff the Exhibitor Service Center there during move-in, show days and move-out.
Our advice Doctors come up from Level 1 between courses, so schedule demos to start as sessions let out.
05 The Venetian Expo · Las Vegas
Logistics for Vision Expo 2027, handled
Vision Expo is a targeted show: freight arrives by booth size, starting March 8, 2027 at 2 p.m. for spaces of 1,200 sq ft or more, then 800 and 400 sq ft on March 9, and every exhibit must be set by 5 p.m. on March 10. Freeman is the general contractor and runs the Exhibitor Service Center at the back of the hall; its Las Vegas warehouse takes crated freight February 8 to March 2, and warehouse freight reaches the floor first. All electrical work, including booth lighting, is done by Venetian Expo electricians. We file as your Exhibitor Appointed Contractor, crate Level 2 freight for the elevators and ship from our Las Vegas hub, with your project manager leading the install.

When is Vision Expo 2027?
Vision Expo 2027 runs March 10–13, 2027 in Las Vegas. The conference starts Wednesday, March 10, and the exhibit hall is open Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, March 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where is Vision Expo 2027 held?
Vision Expo 2027 is at The Venetian Expo, 201 Sands Ave, Las Vegas. Registration and the exhibits are on Level 2 in Halls A and B, and education is on Level 1. The headquarters hotel is The Venetian Resort, connected to the expo center.
Is there a Vision Expo East in 2027?
There is no separate Vision Expo East in 2027. Starting in 2026, RX and The Vision Council replaced Vision Expo East and Vision Expo West with one annual show called Vision Expo, held each March in a rotating city. People searching for Vision Expo East 2027 want the March 10–13 show in Las Vegas.
What happened to Vision Expo West?
Vision Expo West, like Vision Expo East, was replaced by the unified annual Vision Expo, which the organizer calls a permanent change. Las Vegas, the former home of the West show, hosts the 2027 edition at The Venetian Expo. Funds paid for a West show could not be rolled into the 2026 event, per the organizer's FAQ.
Where will Vision Expo be in 2028?
Vision Expo 2028 is scheduled for March 30 to April 1, 2028 at the Javits Center in New York, per the organizer. The 2029 dates and host city are not confirmed yet. A booth built for Las Vegas can travel to New York for 2028.
How much does a booth at Vision Expo 2027 cost?
RX does not publish a Vision Expo rate card; its sales team quotes space, and members of The Vision Council get discounted rates. For the exhibit itself, Purple's 2026 planning ranges are $7,500 to $15,000 for a 10×20 frame gallery rental and $50,000 to $120,000 for a custom 20×20 island; demo devices and flooring move the number most.

Is Vision Expo open to the public?
Vision Expo is a trade-only event for eyecare and eyewear professionals, and every attendee needs a badge. Children under 14 are not admitted, ages 14 to 18 need a parent waiver, and no one under 18 may enter the hall during move-in or move-out.
How tall can a Vision Expo booth be?
In Halls A and B, inline booths are capped at 8 feet, peninsulas at 15 feet, islands under 1,000 sq ft at 20 feet and larger islands at 28 feet, with no variances. Hanging signs are allowed only over islands, peninsulas or walk-throughs of 400 sq ft or more, and never in the Independent Design area or the Innovation Center.
Can we build a custom booth in the Independent Design area?
The Independent Design area in Hall B allows no custom booths, no hanging signs and no pop-up banners, and every booth stays at 8 feet. Its exhibitors move in on March 10, 2027. We supply graphics, lit frame displays and counters that fit inside the organizer's booth there.
Can we set up our own booth at The Venetian Expo?
Full-time employees may hand-carry items in, but dollies and flat trucks are not allowed, Freeman unloads every carrier at the dock, and all electrical work is done by Venetian Expo electricians. We file as your Exhibitor Appointed Contractor, and up to three of our supervisors get floor wristbands.
What are the Vision Expo 2027 exhibitor deadlines?
Freeman's advance-order discount ends February 8, 2027, the same day requests to hold meetings in your booth before show hours are due. Venetian Expo electrical, rigging and multi-level booth orders close February 10, Metro AV on February 19, and the Freeman warehouse takes freight through March 2.
Has Purple built booths at Vision Expo?
