At TISE, people walk up to touch the material, and a good host turns that touch into a lead. Purple Exhibits books local booth reps, product presenters, trade show models, hostesses and brand ambassadors for TISE (The International Surface Event) at a single rate: $85 per person per hour, four-hour minimum. Every person we send is based in Las Vegas, which keeps flights, rooms and travel fees off the bill. The exhibit hall is open February 2–4, 2027 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, with education running February 1–4. Staff learn your series, sizes and finishes, hand out sample boxes only for a badge scan, and run your install demos on time. Design & Construction Week fills the city the same days, so book early. Late? We can still fill a 72-hour rush.

Three scenes from real Purple Exhibits events: product hosts in tailored blazers at a display counter, a sampling ambassador working a busy aisle, and a demonstrator at a stone-look countertop. At TISE the same kind of crew stands beside your slabs and plank walls, briefed on every series.

Pick your booth, your neighborhood and what you run in it. The board fills in the people you need and the price at $85 an hour.
An example island with tile and plank walls, a demo stage and a meeting desk. Click any zone for its job; the numbered dots match the list beside it.
Example 30×30 island in the SURFACES neighborhood, not to scale. We draw the same kind of plan for your real booth ahead of TISE.
Large-format porcelain and marble-look panels. One host stands here, names each series, and walks a designer or retailer over to the right sample board.
Wood, laminate and vinyl plank boards. Visitors pull boards off the wall all day. A host keeps the wall full and in order, so the next buyer sees a complete line.
Contractors and installers stop for a short live install: click-lock, underlayment, trims. A product presenter runs it with a headset and a timer, then points the crowd to the sample counter.
Sample boxes are the reason many people stop. The rule here is simple: the visitor gets a box, you get a scan and two answers about their business.
Booked meetings with retailers and distributors check in here. A desk host greets them by name, keeps your sales calendar on time and seats walk-ins when a slot opens.
A calmer corner with seating and a mood-board table. A hostess offers water and coffee and keeps the space for designers and architects who want to sit and compare finishes.

Six jobs we fill at flooring, tile and stone booths, with headcount and lead time for each.
| Role | What they do at TISE | How many | Book by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Booth rep | Opens conversations with retailers and contractors, scans badges and grades each lead | One per 10 ft of aisle | 6 weeks out |
| Sample-for-scan ambassador | Hands out sample boxes only after a badge scan and two quick questions | One per 200 boxes a day | 6 weeks out |
| Product presenter | Runs the live install demo: click-lock planks, underlayment, trims and tools | One per stage, two for long days | 6 weeks out |
| Trade show model | Poses beside a slab or feature wall for photos and pulls people in off the aisle | One per hero display | 5 weeks out |
| Appointment desk host | Checks in booked retailer and distributor meetings and keeps the calendar on time | One per desk | 5 weeks out |
| Hostess | Looks after the design lounge, seating and drinks for designers and architects | One per lounge | 4 weeks out |
Eight roles for flooring, tile and stone exhibitors, each at $85 an hour per person with a four-hour minimum. Mix them to match your booth.
Polished, camera-ready models stand with your feature slabs and new collections, draw designers in for a closer look and pass real buyers to your sales team.
Presenters run your install demo on a set schedule (click-lock plank, underlayment, grout or a cutting tool) and close every run by pointing people to samples.
Ambassadors run the sample-for-scan counter, keep the box count and tag every visitor before a carton leaves the booth.
Hostesses look after the design lounge, pour coffee for architects comparing finishes and check guests in at your retailer dinner.
Desk hosts greet booked retailers and distributors by name, keep the meeting calendar on time and fill open slots with walk-ins.
Reps learn your series, sizes and price tiers, ask your two questions and log each lead as retailer, distributor, contractor or designer.
For off-site launches and parties: a door host for the guest list, a model at the photo wall and an ambassador handing out the take-home sample.
Need someone who can switch to Spanish for installers and distributors? Ask, and we brief a bilingual rep on your product names in both languages.
Five roles for a flooring, tile or stone booth. Each one is briefed on your lines before the hall opens.

Models who stand with your slab or feature wall and turn aisle traffic into a closer look.

Presenters who run the install demo, kneeling at the stage to show a click-lock plank going down.

Ambassadors who hand over a sample box only after a badge scan and two short questions.

Hosts at the design lounge counter who greet designers and architects and offer a seat.

Reps with a tablet who talk lines, sizes and programs with flooring retailers.

A tailored blazer over a fine black knit, like the hosts in the photo at the top. Calm and polished next to big-format slabs and veined panels.
A branded black sweater or canvas apron, dark trousers and closed-toe shoes. Practical for kneeling at a plank demo, clean enough for photos.
A pressed oxford shirt in a soft color with chinos and a lanyard. Easy to spot in a busy aisle and comfortable for a full shift on your feet.
A simple black cocktail dress or a dark suit. Our pick for check-in desks at dinners and hospitality suites once the hall closes.
TISE puts two neighborhoods under one roof at Mandalay Bay; our Mandalay Bay Convention Center venue guide has the halls and docks. The visitors, the products and the right staff change from one to the other.
Carpet, wood, laminate, vinyl plank, tile and the tools, adhesives and installation products that go with them. Visitors want to handle boards, see a plank click down and leave with samples.
Slabs, tile and stone products shown big. Designers and fabricators judge veining and color from a step away, so the display does the first talking and the staff do the second.
At a flooring show the sample box is the lead magnet. Run it with a rule, and every box you ship to Las Vegas comes back as a name.
Decide what goes in a box, how many you ship per day and where the spare cartons live. We count the stock each morning.
Every box costs a badge scan and two quick questions. No scan, no box. Your lead list grows with your sample count.
The ambassador marks each scan: retailer, distributor, contractor or designer, and whether they want a call.
Big boards and slab chips are too heavy to carry out. We take the visitor’s ship-to details instead and log the request for your team.

Two spots in a TISE booth that run on a clock. Each one gets its own person.
Contractors and installers want to see it go down. A product presenter runs a short demo on a set schedule (click-lock planks, underlayment, trims or a tool), then sends the crowd to the sample counter with a scan.
Booked meetings are where the orders come from. A desk host checks each guest in by name, keeps your sales team on schedule and seats walk-in buyers in open slots.

Education starts a day before the hall opens. The crew grows when the exhibit floor does.
Same dates, other side of town: IBS and KBIS (Design & Construction Week) fill the Las Vegas Convention Center on February 2–4, 2027 too. Local staff and hotel rooms are in demand all week, so lock in your crew early.
Where our crews work during TISE week, from the first education session to the last dinner of the night.
Sessions start a day before the hall opens. A light crew covers early meetings while the rest of the team learns your walls and scanners.
Full crew on the exhibit floor all three days, with a relief plan so the sample counter is never empty at lunch.
The hotels attached to the convention center host dinners and suites. The free tram to Luxor and Excalibur keeps our evening hosts off Strip traffic.
IBS and KBIS run at the Las Vegas Convention Center on the same dates; see our IBS and KBIS staffing page. Exhibiting at World of Concrete two weeks earlier? Our World of Concrete booth staff page covers that show.

A 20×40 booth with a sample counter and an install stage needs four people: two booth reps, a product presenter and a sample-for-scan ambassador. Here is that crew hired locally next to the same four flown in.

An install demo nobody knows about draws nobody. Post the times and run them on time.

The exhibit hall is open February 2–4, 2027. Education sessions run February 1–4, 2027. Everything takes place at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
Yes. IBS and KBIS, together called Design & Construction Week, take over the Las Vegas Convention Center on the same dates, February 2–4, 2027. Staff and hotel rooms in Las Vegas get scarce that week, so we suggest booking early.
Usually not. With 72 hours’ notice we can usually fill a rush order. Early bookings get the widest choice of staff, especially during a busy week like this one.
It depends on your size and what you run. A 10×20 with samples usually needs two. A 30×30 island with an install stage and a meeting desk needs about six. Try the crew estimator above.

Every box is traded for a badge scan and two short questions. Ambassadors tag each lead by type and log shipping requests for heavy boards.
