IPW 2027 booths in New Orleans built as meeting rooms for buyer appointments
Buyers at IPW sit down for pre-scheduled appointments, so we build your booth as a working meeting room with one destination image that sells the place from the aisle. At the Morial, drayage, electrical and rigging run through the official contractor, and we staff the two-hour teardown after the marketplace closes May 6.

What makes IPW different, and how we build for it
IPW is a scheduled marketplace, not a walk-the-aisles show. Exhibitors sit across the table from international buyers in pre-booked appointments of up to 44 per linear booth, matched by U.S. Travel Association's scheduling system, while the Media Marketplace runs alongside for journalists. The week also includes Destination Experiences Buyer Tours, the Brand USA Education Session, the Opening Event at Caesars Superdome and IPW Beyond the Booth. A booth here is a meeting room with a destination story on the walls: buyers sit for every conversation and remember the place, not the furniture.
A comfortable seat, product sheets in their language, and contracting details on rates, allotments and commission ready inside a short appointment.
Clean visual backdrops worth photographing, story angles, and press materials they can take away from the Media Marketplace.
Clear itinerary building blocks, partner contacts across a destination, and room for several staff to join one conversation.
Your team in New Orleans
Two shops, one project manager, every hall
We build in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, and our Las Vegas hub, ship to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, and install with our own project manager on the floor and vetted local labor. Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA.
Your team walks into a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.

Popular booth sizes at IPW
Most IPW exhibitors take 10×10 linear booths under the 8-foot height limit, often combined into 10×20 or 10×30 runs for a destination and its partners, while larger destinations take islands with the required island variance. We recommend a 10×20 with two appointment tables, or an island built as a set of private appointment bays.

Two appointment tables running at once, a hero image of your signature place and a small check-in desk for the next buyer.

Machu Picchu Foods at a food and beverage trade show
A layered, walk-through environment inspired by the landmark itself, turning curiosity into sampling conversations.
Different industry, same problem: Machu Picchu Foods used a famous landmark to pull people into conversation, which is how a destination booth wins a buyer at IPW.

04 Designing for destinations, hotels, attractions and travel brands at IPW
Four things we get right for IPW exhibitors
1Design the booth around appointments
Every buyer sits for a timed meeting, so tables, chairs and table numbers matter more than display walls. We plan one station per appointment stream, leave space for a translator, and keep sightlines so the next buyer can see you are almost free.
2Sell the place in one image
International buyers meet dozens of destinations a day. One large, well-lit image of your signature landscape, skyline or attraction, with the destination name readable from the aisle, does more than a collage of twelve small photos.
Build for partner booths
Destinations often bring hotels, attractions and tour partners under the Shared Booth Option, where partners wear their own company badges and the Key Contact runs one appointment schedule. We give each partner a branded table position on a shared backwall, so the booth reads as one place and buyers find the right partner fast.
Plan for media and photographs
Journalists from the Media Marketplace photograph booths for stories and social posts. We add a clean photo wall, soft even lighting on faces and a spot for product samples or local crafts so your destination looks right in every picture.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this

Logistics for IPW 2027, handled
The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center runs roughly two miles along the Mississippi, so dock-to-booth distance depends on your hall. Louisiana is a right-to-work state: your full-time staff may set up their own booth, but drayage, electrical and rigging go through the official contractor, and the building lends no carts or dollies. IPW allows early move-in April 30 to May 1 and closes the marketplace at 4:30 PM Thursday with a two-hour teardown window. We file the exhibitor forms, book freight targets, ship to the advance warehouse and staff the teardown with our own project manager so your booth is packed by 6:30 PM.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Ernest N. Morial Convention Center exhibitor guide.
Hall guide
The Morial is one long building on the Mississippi, and the halls this building uses for large shows stretch about two miles, so where your booth lands decides how far freight and staff travel.
About 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space in twelve divisible halls running roughly two miles along the river.
Our advice: Dock-to-booth distance varies enormously, so we plan the freight route to your exact booth as soon as the floor plan places you.
A 60,300 square foot space at the upriver end, completed in 2013, with 25,000 square feet of ballroom and prefunction space plus indoor and outdoor balconies.
Our advice: This is the closest end to the Warehouse District and CBD hotels, an easy walk for staff carrying collateral and gifts.
140 meeting rooms and two ballrooms spread across the building, used for breakouts and sessions in hand-carry and tabletop formats.
Our advice: Anything you bring to a side meeting or media session has to be hand-carried, so we pack a separate light kit for it.

Questions exhibitors ask us before IPW
How much does a booth at IPW 2027 cost?
Our rentals start at $3,500 for a 10×10 and run $7,500 to $15,000 for a 10×20; a custom 20×20 island runs $50,000 to $120,000. Space is billed by U.S. Travel: $60 to $100 per square foot for U.S. exhibitors in 2027, plus a $6,000 to $12,000 island variance. Hanging signs and partner tables move our number most.
What is the deadline to book a booth for IPW 2027?
Early exhibitor registration pricing ends November 20, 2026, and booth space becomes non-refundable on February 17, 2027. For a custom or rental booth we need design sign-off by mid-February 2027, which leaves a 30 to 45 day build and an early April ship date to the advance warehouse.
Can we rent a booth for IPW, and what does a rental include?
Yes. Our rental includes the frame, your printed destination graphics, appointment tables and chairs, a check-in counter, lighting and storage, built to the 8-foot linear limit or an island footprint. Many destinations rent the structure and own the graphics, so the same images travel to their next trade show.
Can we set up our own booth at the Morial Convention Center?
Yes, with limits. Louisiana is a right-to-work state, so full-time employees of the exhibiting company may set up their own booth. Drayage, electrical and rigging still go through the official contractor, and the building lends no carts, dollies or pallet jacks. We install with our own project manager and handle every contractor order.
What is the booth height limit at IPW?
Linear booths have an 8-foot height limit so sightlines stay clear across the marketplace, which means your destination image has to work within one 8-foot wall. Island booths sit behind a required variance from neighboring linear booths, and anything hung above the space costs extra, with production and rigging at the exhibitor's expense.
What does drayage cost at IPW and who pays it?
Drayage moves your freight from the dock to your booth and is billed to the exhibitor by the official contractor. Our planning estimate for the Morial is about $155 per hundredweight for 2026 and 2027, with a 200-pound minimum. We weigh every crate and put the drayage line on your proposal before you sign.
How fast do we have to tear down at IPW?
The marketplace closes at 4:30 PM on Thursday, May 6, 2027, and booths come down in a two-hour window that ends at 6:30 PM. We pack graphics in labeled cases, stage crates before close and keep our project manager on the floor, so your team can finish the last appointment and leave.
Can we reuse our IPW booth at other travel shows?
Yes. Destinations and hotels that exhibit at IPW often also exhibit at the GBTA Convention, Seatrade Cruise Global or CSI Americas, the Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo. We design the backwall and tables to reconfigure, store the kit between shows and reprint the hero image for each audience.
Before you sign with anyone
Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for IPW:
- Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
- Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
- Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
