HD Expo 2027 booth design & build in Las Vegas

What makes HD Expo different, and how we build for it
HD Expo is the Hospitality Design magazine show, and its floor is built for specification, not browsing. For 2027 the organizer moved to a two-day expo hall, May 4–5, and gave HD University a full education day on May 3. The Hosted Buyer Program brings in qualified purchasers, new facilitated meetings put exhibitors in scheduled one-to-one sessions with them, and the New Design Professionals program feeds the next generation of specifiers onto the floor. With 500+ suppliers across 25+ categories and attendees from all 50 states and 34 countries, the two hall days at Mandalay Bay are dense. Your booth has to read as a finished room from the aisle and work as a sample studio up close.
A room-scale vignette that shows proportion, finish and light together, plus labeled samples they can pull for a live project.
Product references, lead times and contract-grade specs on a table away from the aisle, with someone who can talk quantities.
A quick read of what the collection does for a guestroom, lobby or restaurant, and a comfortable seat for a scheduled facilitated meeting.
Purple in Las Vegas
Local crew, national shop
We manage back-to-back installations with speed and calm. From CES to NAB, our Las Vegas hub ensures local labor, rapid troubleshooting and smart storage options, giving exhibitors total confidence on the busiest floors in the U.S.
Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA. Your booth ships from our production shop in Fishkill, NY or our Las Vegas hub, and our project manager is on the floor for install and dismantle.

Booth options for HD Expo 2027
Pick a footprint. We’ll price it as a rental, a custom build, or a hybrid.
HD Expo floors are full of 10×20 and 20×20 room settings from furniture, lighting and surface brands, with the largest manufacturers on 20×30 and bigger islands. Most Purple clients at hospitality shows choose a 10×20 with one convincing vignette or a 20×20 island with a lounge, sample wall and meeting table.

One hero piece, a lit finish wall and a compact sample counter with a stool for a single conversation.

A guestroom or lounge vignette on one side, a labeled sample library and small spec table on the other.
See 10×20 rental booths →
An open-plan lounge under a hanging sign, a full-height finish wall, sample studio and a meeting table with concealed storage.
See 20×20 rental booths →
Several room moments (lobby, guestroom, bar), lighting demo area, private meeting room and back-of-house for sample restock.
See 20×30 rental booths →All-in 2026 ranges for design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle; booth space, drayage and show services are separate. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show. Designing for hospitality furniture, lighting and finish brands at HD Expo
Four things we get right for HD Expo exhibitors

Build one convincing room
A focused furniture group and a disciplined material palette sell the collection faster than six competing fragments. We keep sightlines open and circulation comfortable so a designer can sit in the chair, touch the upholstery and still see the brand from the aisle.

Light the finish like a project
Textiles, veneers and stone read differently across a wall than on a chip. We test your real samples under the proposed fixtures, keep colored spill off the material and give lighting brands a controlled zone where the effect on a surface is the demo.
Give the sample library its own place
Hand samples arranged by collection and application, labels that match the references your team uses in follow-up, and a working table where three finishes can sit side by side. Restock lives inside the furniture so the room stays composed all day.
Plan the weight before the render
Stone tops, cast bases and large panels change floor loading, crating and freight. We size supports from your real dimensions and weights, design protective packaging and sequence the install so heavy pieces land first and the finish work is never rushed.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this
You see the booth in 3D before we cut a single panel: layout, graphics, lighting and product positions, revised until it is right. Shown: a Purple concept for KSE Suppliers.

Logistics for HD Expo 2027, handled
Las Vegas is a union town with its own jurisdictions, and Mandalay Bay is no exception: your own full-time staff may set up with hand tools, while contract labor, forklifts and anything on wheels go through the show contractor. We file as your Exhibitor Appointed Contractor with the certificate of insurance 30 days before move-in, consolidate crates onto one bill of lading so you pay one material-handling minimum instead of five, ship to the advance warehouse rather than waiting in the marshaling yard, and document fixture loads and outlet positions for the electrical order. Our Las Vegas shop handles overnight graphic reprints, repairs and last-minute counters during the show, and your crew is ten minutes from the Strip hotels.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Las Vegas Convention Center exhibitor guide.

HD Expo exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before HD Expo
How much does a 20×20 at HD Expo cost?
A 20×20 rental island with your graphics and a lounge runs $16,000 to $40,000; a custom 20×20 with a full-height finish wall, sample studio and meeting table runs $50,000 to $120,000, all in for design, build, graphics and installation. Send us the furniture list and we return a fixed quote.
Can you install at Mandalay Bay Convention Center?
Yes. Purple builds at Mandalay Bay, the LVCC, Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum. We file as your Exhibitor Appointed Contractor, clear our crew through the show contractor, and our Las Vegas team installs, levels the furniture and lights the vignette before you land.
Can we rent a booth for HD Expo?
Yes. A 10×20 rental lands between $7,500 and $15,000 and includes structure, printed graphics, lighting and installation. Most first-time HD Expo exhibitors rent the architecture and spend on the finish wall, real furniture and a proper sample table, then upgrade to custom in year two.
When do we need to decide?
Design sign-off by mid-February gives a comfortable 30 to 45 day build and a mid-April ship to the advance warehouse. Later is possible, but the trade-off is finish choice, furniture lead times and freight cost. A first call in December keeps every option open.
Do you handle the show contractor orders and drayage?
Yes. We read the HD Expo exhibitor kit, order material handling, electrical and cleaning, book the advance warehouse, consolidate your crates on one bill of lading and keep you copied on every deadline. You send furniture and samples; we handle everything that touches the floor.
