ATS 2027 booths in New Orleans built for the two-minute pulmonology demo
Your booth puts a working ventilator, sleep monitor or inhaler in a pulmonologist's hands during a five-hour hall day, then seats the evidence talk one step off the aisle. At the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center we file island drawings and contractor notice with ATS by March 31 and build on May 14–15.

What makes ATS different, and how we build for it
ATS is where pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine meet, and the American Thoracic Society plans its 2027 hall for five hours a day, so traffic comes in dense waves between sessions.Industry Theaters seat up to 250, Innovation Hubs run 15 to 30 minute expert sessions with open discussion, and the Clinical Trial Awareness area sits apart from commercial booths with longer hours. Expo Hall Meeting Rooms, the AI Lab, the Breathe Easy Podcast Studio and Coffee & Connections pull clinicians onto the floor, and the Respiratory Innovation Summit opens the week. A booth here needs a demo grasped in two minutes and a seat for the longer talk.
The device or therapy story in hand, a close view of how it works at the bedside, and a clinician-to-clinician conversation about indications and evidence in COPD, asthma, ILD and ARDS.
Hands-on time with ventilation, monitoring and diagnostic equipment, with a staffer who can explain setup, data flow and patient workflow.
Clear pipeline and trial information, quiet space to discuss data and collaboration, and printed or digital takeaways that hold up to scientific scrutiny.

Inside ATS 2027
Rules that shape your booth
Every ATS island must be submitted for approval by March 31, 2027, top out at 20 feet, stay open on all four sides and keep 30 percent see-through. We draw the island and send the package well before the date.
Inline exhibits may reach 8 feet only within 5 feet of the back wall, and the front 5 feet must not exceed 4 feet. We build tall screens and graphics into the back half and leave the aisle side open.
Exhibitors using an independent service contractor tell ATS its name and address by March 31, 2027, and the contractor lists its booths and proves insurance by the same date. We file our side and prepare yours.
Dismantling before the official close is prohibited and costs priority points and future access to the attendee list rental. We schedule labor from 3:30 p.m. on May 18, when the 2027 hall is set to close.
A company with 400 square feet or more that cancels after February 5, 2027 must keep the space intact and furnish it as a lounge with a sign naming the company. We can supply that lounge kit if plans change.
Programs worth planning for
Thirty, 45 or 60 minute industry presentations in exhibit hall theaters seating up to 250; a large-theater Sunday slot is $65,000. Content is due March 16, 2027.
Fifteen to 30 minute sessions led by industry subject-matter experts: a short problem statement and the host's solution, then attendee discussion. Applications open in fall 2026, first come, first served.
The pre-conference meeting of start-ups, investors, clinicians and advocacy groups on May 14–15, 2027; the 2026 summit featured 80 companies, 36 of them in oral presentations. Companies apply to be featured.
A separate, noncommercial area for trial sponsors to meet clinicians about enrollment and collaboration, $1,500 per 10×10 in 2027, open longer than the main hall.
ATS is the pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine meeting, with 10,004 audited attendees in 2026; choose it over the AACN NTI when your buyers are pulmonologists and researchers rather than critical care nurses. Compare every medical devices show we build for →

Pixee Medical at a medical technology congress
A focused, demo-first booth for augmented-reality surgical guidance, built so every visitor could try the technology while traffic kept moving.
Pixee Medical let surgeons try AR guidance in a short stop without blocking its aisle, the same demo discipline ATS demands when the hall is open five hours a day.

Four things we get right for ATS exhibitors
1Five hall hours shape the demo
ATS plans its 2027 hall for 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on three days, so traffic arrives in waves between sessions. We put the headline at the aisle, a device a pulmonologist can handle in two minutes one step inside, and a seat for whoever wants the full evidence.
Keep the front five feet low
ATS inline booths may run 8 feet high only in the 5 feet nearest the back wall; the front 5 feet stay under 4 feet. We mount ventilator screens and graphics on the back half and keep the front as an open counter where a clinician can step in.
Keep trial talk in its own zone
ATS sets the Clinical Trial Awareness area apart from commercial booths so trial discussion stays noncommercial. Inside your booth we separate promotional claims, medical information and trial material onto different counters, so staff know which questions route to medical information.
Bring the meeting room or rent one
KOL and account meetings at ATS need privacy without leaving the hall. We build lockable rooms with screens and acoustic walls inside islands, or dress one of the ATS Expo Hall Meeting Rooms, on sale from fall 2026, to match your booth.

Logistics for ATS 2027, handled
ATS names Freeman its general contractor, and carpet or flooring is mandatory in every 2027 booth. Because Louisiana is a right-to-work state, people on your own payroll may put the exhibit together; freight handling, power and overhead rigging still belong to Freeman's union crews, and the Morial keeps no carts or pallet jacks for exhibitors. The building runs about two miles along the Mississippi, so we address crates to the dock nearest your booth. We notify ATS of our firm, booths and insurance by March 31, build during set-up on May 14 and 15, and start teardown only after the 3:30 p.m. close on May 18.
Hall guide
ATS 2027 fills an exhibit hall at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center; the exact hall is not confirmed yet. These are the building's halls and the ATS areas that shape where traffic goes.
The Morial offers roughly 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space split into Halls A to J, laid out in a long line beside the Mississippi.
Our advice: Distances from a loading dock to a booth vary widely in a building this long, so heavy ventilators go to the dock serving your assigned hall.
A high-traffic zone separate from all commercial booths, $1,500 per 10×10, open 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the three hall days in 2027.
Our advice: Trial teams with a booth in both places keep trial content here and product content in the main booth, and we print two matching graphic sets.
Theaters for 30 to 60 minute industry presentations, the largest seating 250, and Innovation Hubs for 15 to 30 minute expert sessions, all on the exhibit floor.
Our advice: Theater audiences leave in a block, so if your talk ends nearby we keep two demo stations clear to catch them.
Private meeting rooms on the exhibit floor that exhibitors rent and customize, with sales opening in fall 2026; Business Suites sit outside the hall.
Our advice: We brand a rented room to match your booth so a KOL meeting feels like part of the same space.

ATS exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before ATS
How much does a booth at ATS 2027 cost?
For a single device line, a 10×20 rental runs $7,500 to $15,000; a therapy launch on a custom 20×20 island runs $50,000 to $120,000. At ATS the number moves with live device demos, a closed KOL meeting room and AV. Space is extra: $5,000 per inline 10×10 and $52 per square foot for islands in 2027.
When is ATS 2027?
The ATS 2027 International Conference runs May 14–19, 2027 in New Orleans, with the Respiratory Innovation Summit on May 14 and 15. ATS has published its next two meetings: May 19–24, 2028 in San Francisco and May 18–23, 2029 in Washington, D.C.
Where is ATS 2027 held?
ATS lists the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans as the 2027 exhibit venue, at 900 Convention Center Boulevard along the Mississippi riverfront. The hall assignment inside the building is not confirmed yet; we route freight to the right dock once the booth number is set.
When is the exhibit hall open at ATS 2027?
Sunday, May 16 to Tuesday, May 18, 2027. The prospectus gives tentative hours of 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day, with the Clinical Trial Awareness area open longer, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Set-up runs May 14–15 and dismantle starts at 3:30 p.m. on May 18.
How many people attend ATS?
The audited 2026 meeting in Orlando drew 10,004 conference and exhibit-only attendees, 12,907 people in total with guests, media and exhibitor staff, and 23.6 percent came from outside the U.S. ATS expects about 10,500 professionals in New Orleans.
Is ATS open to the public?
ATS is a professional conference for pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, and everyone on the floor registers, exhibitor staff included, under the ATS 2027 Attendee Code of Conduct. Exhibitor badges cover the hall, general sessions and open receptions, but not CME, MOC credit or ticketed sessions.
How do we get a booth at ATS 2027?
Booth sales for ATS 2027 are open through the American Thoracic Society's exhibit sales team, using the online floor plan. A signed agreement brings a 50 percent non-refundable deposit within 30 days, and the full balance is due by February 5, 2027. Once you have a booth number, our drawings for it can begin the same week.
What is the deadline for ATS 2027 island drawings?
March 31, 2027. Every island must be submitted for ATS approval by then, and any independent contractor must be named with proof of insurance on the same date. We need your design sign-off in early March to draw, stamp and send the package on time.
Can we rent a booth for ATS, and what does a rental include?
An ATS rental from Purple covers the structure, printed graphics, counters, lighting, the mandatory flooring, shipping, installation and dismantle on one fixed proposal. Device and diagnostics exhibitors often rent the frame and own a demo counter sized to their ventilator or monitor, then reuse it at other clinical meetings.
Can our own staff set up at the Morial Convention Center?
Louisiana is right-to-work, so people on your company payroll may put the booth up themselves. Moving freight from the dock, power hookups and anything hung overhead still go through Freeman's union crews, and the Morial lends exhibitors no dollies or pallet jacks. If we install, we file the ATS independent contractor notice and insurance by March 31.
How tall can an ATS booth be?
Inline exhibits reach 8 feet only within 5 feet of the back wall, and the front 5 feet stay at 4 feet or lower. Islands top out at 20 feet with access from all four sides and 30 percent see-through, and a banner's top may reach 22 feet. Two-story designs need ATS approval.
What does drayage cost at ATS and who pays it?
You do, billed by Freeman on weight. For the Morial we budget roughly $155 for every 100 pounds, minimum charge 200 pounds, from our own New Orleans venue guide covering 2026 and 2027. Ventilators and crated demo carts drive the total, so we weigh them early and show drayage as its own proposal line.
What happens if we cancel or shrink our ATS booth?
Until February 5, 2027, ATS refunds the booth minus a 50 percent fee; after that there are no refunds. Downsizing costs 50 percent of the original space plus half the year's priority points, and a company of 400 square feet or more that cancels late must furnish the space as a lounge.
We are exhibiting at ATS from outside the US. Can you help?
Close to a quarter of the 2026 audience came from abroad, and so do many exhibitors. We handle the U.S. side: building the booth here, freight to the Freeman warehouse, contractor orders, installation and storage afterward. Your team flies into New Orleans to a finished booth with demos tested.
Before you sign with anyone
Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for ATS:
- Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
- Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
- Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
- What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
- Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?
Common situations
Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.
Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.
Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
