Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Booth space, paid to Optica
- Material handling / drayage, if the OFC space rate leaves it out
- Electrical service, internet and rigging at the Los Angeles Convention Center
- Booth cleaning, and union labor where the Los Angeles Convention Center requires it
Published rates:
- Booth space: $6,500 per 10×10 with pipe and drape, OFC 2027 sample budget
- Material handling: $326 for about 200 lb, straight time, OFC 2027 sample budget
- Internet: $1,343 for standard 2.0 Mbps, OFC 2027 sample budget
- EAC fee: $150 per booth serviced by an exhibitor-appointed contractor (2027)
Key dates
- Island designs over 400 sq ft and hanging signs due for OFC approval: January 6, 2027
- Design sign-off with Purple: Mid-December 2026
- Mid-December 2026: Design sign-off, demo hardware list locked, island and hanging sign drawings prepared for OFC review.
- January 6, 2027: Island designs over 400 sq ft, hanging signs and structures over 12 ft go to OFC management for approval.
- January 2027: Production in Fishkill, NY or Las Vegas; isometrics to the LACC by January 20 and the EAC form by January 21.
- January 28 to February 23, 2027: Booth ships to Freeman's advance warehouse in Anaheim; Freeman discount orders placed by February 4.
- March 4–8, 2027: Targeted move-in on your assigned day; your Purple project manager runs the install and hands over powered demo stations.
- March 9–13, 2027: Exhibition days, then move-out from 4:01 p.m. Thursday through the 2 p.m. Saturday deadline.

Checklist
- Send Purple your booth number, hall (South, West or Kentia) and Freeman target color
- List each demo: module, host gear, fiber, power draw, heat load and what visitors may touch
- Flag any laser, UV or strobe element so we file the written approval request
- Approve island and hanging sign drawings in time for the January 6, 2027 OFC review
- Book rooms through MCI Housing before January 9, 2027
- Send logo, product photography and datasheets for magnified component graphics
- Decide who staffs the booth during Market Watch and Data Center Summit sessions
- Plan return freight before the 2 p.m. March 13, 2027 move-out deadline
