Includes design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show.
Billed by the show
- Booth space, paid to SPIE
- Drayage, or material handling, when it is not in the SPIE Advanced Lithography + Patterning space rate
- Electrical service, internet and rigging at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center
- Booth cleaning and whatever union labor the SPIE Advanced Lithography + Patterning venue requires
Published rates:
- Booth build: 10×20 rental $7,500–$15,000; custom 20×20 $50,000–$120,000, Purple's 2026 planning range
Key dates
- Exhibitor certificate of insurance due to SPIE: January 22, 2027
- Design sign-off with Purple: Mid-November 2026
- Mid-November 2026: Design sign-off; any laser, instrument or covered structure flagged for Fire Marshal approval.
- Mid-December 2026: Special approval request to the Fire Marshal, 60 days before the first move-in day under the venue's rules.
- January 2027: Production in Fishkill, NY or Las Vegas; backlit SEM and data graphics proofed; certificate of insurance filed by January 22.
- Early February 2027: Booth ships to the contractor's advance warehouse for San Jose; power and internet orders filed.
- Days before February 23, 2027: Move-in on the contractor's schedule; our project manager installs and sets the sample cases.
- February 23–24, 2027: Exhibition days, then dismantle after the 4 p.m. close and return or storage.

Checklist
- Send Purple your booth number and size from the SPIE contract
- Choose the one result the back wall leads with: CD, overlay, defectivity or throughput
- List any laser, light source or instrument so we file the Fire Marshal request
- Plan which wafers, reticles or blanks your team hand-carries
- Send your certificate of insurance details before January 22, 2027
- Book a downtown San Jose hotel near the convention center
