Texas Restaurant Show 2027 · July 11–12, 2027 · Henry B. González Convention Center, San Antonio

A Texas Restaurant Show 2027 booth in San Antonio that serves while it sells

Texas operators taste, test and often buy across two short floor days, so we build counters and back bars that serve fast and leave room to talk price. Texas is right-to-work, so we install with our own project manager and vetted local labor and route freight to the HemisFair-side docks.

What makes Texas Restaurant Show different, and how we build for it

The Texas Restaurant Association has led the industry since 1937, and this is a Texas operator's show. At the 2026 edition, its 89th, owners moved between the Main Stage, the Taste of Texas Culinary Stage and the Operators Arena, the new Bar & Nightclub Showcase gave bar owners and beverage directors their own section, and chefs competed in the first Lone Star Tapas Showdown. On Sunday night of the show the industry heads to the Texas Restaurant Awards. Two floor days make every booth conversation count.

Independent and multi-unit owners

Clear prices, proof that a product saves labor or food cost, and a seat to talk about rollout, financing or a distributor deal.

Chefs and kitchen managers

Equipment they can touch and run, food they can taste and staff who speak in yields, hold times and menu cost.

Bar owners and beverage directors

Tastings, glassware, draft and bar equipment set up like a working back bar, plus margins and promotion support.

02 Booths & pricing for Texas Restaurant Show 2027

Popular booth sizes at Texas Restaurant Show

The Texas Restaurant Show sells 10×10 to 20×40 booths on the main floor and in the lower-priced Bar & Nightclub Showcase, and most of the 600+ booths are 10×10 and 10×20 inlines from distributors, food and beverage brands and tech firms. We recommend a 10×20 tasting booth, or a 20×20 island when cooking equipment runs live.

04 Designing for restaurant, bar and foodservice suppliers at Texas Restaurant Show

Four things we get right for Texas Restaurant Show exhibitors

Two chefs in white uniforms plating fried cutlets at an open kitchen counter1

Plan utilities with the equipment list

Fryers, combi ovens and draft systems need specific power, water, drains and sometimes refrigeration. We size every load from your spec sheets and place the electrical, plumbing and refrigeration orders with the center's exclusive providers early, so the line is hot when doors open at 9:30 a.m.

Pizza instructor tasting a student's test pizza at a stainless kitchen counter2

Make sampling fast and clean

Two floor days means queues. We design a sample hand-off at the aisle edge, handwashing and prep behind the counter, cold and hot holding, and trash out of sight, so your team serves quickly and the demo space stays clear.

3

Build bar booths like real bars

In the Bar & Nightclub Showcase, buyers judge a brand by how it pours. A real back bar with ice wells, speed rail, glass storage and good lighting on the bottles lets your staff mix, pour and talk margin the way a bar manager works.

4

Give owners somewhere to sit

Texas operators often decide at the show. A two-seat counter or small table set back from the heat and noise gives your rep room to run food cost, equipment financing or software pricing while samples keep moving up front.

05 Henry B. González Convention Center · San Antonio

Logistics for Texas Restaurant Show 2027, handled

The Henry B. González Convention Center offers 514,000 contiguous square feet across Exhibit Halls 1–4 and the Bridge Hall, with 35-foot ceilings, and Texas is a right-to-work state, so your own staff or our vetted local labor can build any size booth. Material handling still runs through the show's general contractor, at about $95 per hundredweight (2026 planning figure), and electrical, rigging, internet and catering are exclusive services. Each hall has its own loading dock area, and trucks unload there, not on the River Walk. We order contractor and utility services, ship to the advance warehouse, file San Antonio Fire Department plan review for covered structures and install with our own project manager on the floor.

Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Henry B. González Convention Center exhibitor guide.

Hall guide

The Henry B. González Convention Center gives exhibitors one contiguous floor with high ceilings, and the organizer runs a dedicated bar section. Here is what the halls this building uses, and their docks, mean for your booth.

Exhibit Halls 1–4 and Bridge Hall

Approximately 514,000 square feet of contiguous space across five connected halls with 35-foot ceilings and room for more than 2,900 standard booths; the 2016 renovation removed fixed interior structures.

Our advice: Hanging signs and island builds are routine at this height, so a 20×20 cook line can carry a sign seen across the floor.

Bar & Nightclub Showcase

The organizer's lower-priced bar section, with a TABC waiver, drape, carpet, table, two chairs and an ID sign included, and self sampling permitted.

Our advice: Bring a real back bar: we build ice wells, speed rail and lit bottle shelves so your staff pour the way a bar manager works.

Loading docks

Each exhibit hall has its own loading dock area, so deliveries route to your hall's dock, not the River Walk pedestrian side.

Our advice: We route every truck and equipment delivery to your hall's dock and book target times with the show contractor.

Texas Restaurant Show exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before Texas Restaurant Show

How much does a booth at the Texas Restaurant Show 2027 cost?

A custom 20×20 island with a working kitchen runs $50,000 to $120,000, while rentals start at $3,500 for a 10×10 and run $7,500 to $15,000 for a 10×20. At this show, cooking equipment, plumbing, refrigeration and a working back bar move the number most. Booth space and show services are billed separately by the Texas Restaurant Association and its contractors.

What is the deadline to book a booth for the Texas Restaurant Show?

The organizer prices space in windows: standard booths cost $3,750 per 10×10 through June 1, 2027, then $3,900 from June 2. For the booth itself, we need design sign-off by late April 2027 so the 30 to 45 day build finishes and freight reaches the advance warehouse about three weeks before move-in.

Can we rent a booth for the Texas Restaurant Show, and what does it include?

Yes. A rental includes the structure, your printed graphics, lighting, a sampling or demo counter, shipping, installation and dismantle, all priced on one fixed proposal. Many first-time exhibitors rent the frame and add a custom bar or cook counter built in our Fishkill, NY shop, then return the rental after the show.

Can we set up our own booth at the Henry B. González Convention Center?

Yes. Texas is a right-to-work state, so full-time company staff can build a booth of any size with their own tools. Material handling stays with the material-handling contractor, and electrical, rigging, internet and catering are exclusive to the center's providers. Covered or multilevel exhibits need San Antonio Fire Department plan review, which we file for you.

Can we sample alcohol in the Bar & Nightclub Showcase?

The organizer includes a TABC waiver with every Bar & Nightclub Showcase booth and permits self sampling with no extra catering staff. Booths there also come with back drape, side drape, carpet, a table, two chairs and an ID sign. We design the back bar, ice wells and glass storage around those rules so your team pours from the first hour.

What does drayage cost at the Henry B. González Convention Center, and who pays it?

Plan about $95 per hundredweight, our 2026 planning figure for this venue; the show's contractor publishes the current tariff in the exhibitor kit and bills you directly. Heavy cooking equipment drives the total, so we consolidate crates on one bill of lading and put the drayage estimate on your proposal before you sign.

Can we reuse our Texas Restaurant Show booth at other shows?

We design the structure to reconfigure, so the same counters and walls can travel to the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, Pizza Expo in Las Vegas or the NAMA Show in New Orleans. Between shows we store the booth, refresh graphics for each audience and ship it to the next advance warehouse.

We already own a booth. Can you refresh it and install it in San Antonio?

We inspect your existing exhibit, repair worn parts, reprint graphics for a Texas operator audience and add a sampling counter or back bar if you need one. Then we ship it to the advance warehouse, install it with our own project manager and vetted local labor, and store it after the show.

Before you sign with anyone

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for Texas Restaurant Show:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
