Bar & Restaurant Expo 2027: Las Vegas booths built like an owner's own bar

Independent owners walk five pavilions in eleven floor hours looking for what they can use next week, so we build pour counters, back bars and demo stations they can picture in their own room. For the two-level LVCC South Hall we file your EAC forms with GES and pre-check every crate against the freight elevators.

What makes Bar & Restaurant Expo different, and how we build for it

Bar & Restaurant Expo started life as the Nightclub & Bar Show, announced its current name in 2021 and still runs a 21+ floor where spirits, food, kitchen gear and arcade games share one hall. For 2027, Forge, the company formerly called Questex, sorts the South Hall into five pavilions, from Food & Beverage to Entertainment & Experience, and World Tea Expo keeps its own section inside the food pavilion. Owners test equipment in the F&B Solutions Center by Middleby, see restaurant technology run in Restaurant of the Future by Shift4, play in The Game Room and hear Danny Meyer's Tuesday keynote. The show's own profile puts 66% of attendees in owner, manager, GM or executive roles.

Independent owners and operators

Something they can put to work in one or a few venues right away, a clear cost per drink or per cover, and a seat to place a show-floor order for delivery after the hall closes.

Beverage directors and bar managers

A tasting poured the way they would serve it, ice wells and speed rails they recognize, and a rep who can talk margin, distributor and menu placement in the same minute.

Chefs and owners opening a concept

Kitchen equipment, furniture and build-out pieces they can touch, run and measure, with lead times and financing that fit a room opening in 2027.

Rules that shape your booth

Nobody under 21 on the floor

Questex's 2025 exhibitor rules keep anyone under 21 off the show floor at all times, from set-up through exhibit hours to tear-down, and every exhibitor needs a badge before entering. We put only crew members aged 21 and over on your install and dismantle.

Organizer rule

Samples stop at 3 and 2 ounces

Every free sample needs the LVCVA Food and Beverage Sampling/Onsite Preparation Approval Form, portions stop at 3 ounces for nonalcoholic drinks and 2 ounces for food, and anything you did not make comes from the venue's caterer. We file the form and size cup storage to it.

Organizer rule

Alcohol poured by TAM-certified servers

Alcohol served at the LVCC needs Food & Beverage Division approval under Nevada Department of Taxation guidelines and is poured by the venue's TAM-certified bartenders, with limited exceptions. We build the bar so a venue bartender can work it from the first pour.

Organizer rule

Hanging signs over 400-square-foot islands only

Signs hang only over islands of 400 square feet or more; inline and 10×20 peninsula booths hold 8 feet in the rear half, and island solid walls stop at 16 feet with show approval 30 days out (2026 rules). We draw every height for that approval.

Organizer rule

Sound stays under 85 decibels

Under the 2025 exhibitor rules, sound may not pass 85 dB measured from the center of the adjoining aisle, speakers face into the booth, and live music, dancers or guest appearances need a Booth Approval Form. We aim speakers inward, add soft finishes and file the form with your schedule.

04 Designing for bar, restaurant and beverage suppliers at Bar & Restaurant Expo

Four things we get right for Bar & Restaurant Expo exhibitors

Bartender pouring a cocktail behind a backlit bar counter lined with spirit bottles1

Size every pour to the LVCC limit

The LVCC enforces Southern Nevada Health District sampling rules: free samples stop at 3 ounces for nonalcoholic drinks and 2 ounces for food, and open sampling needs a hot-water handwash station plus a sanitizing station. We build both into the back counter, add cup and portion storage, and file the LVCVA sampling form for you.

Polished brass draft beer towers with black tap handles on a wooden bar2

Set the bar top in the low zone

The show's 2026 line-of-sight rules let inline and 10×20 peninsula booths reach 8 feet only in the rear half, with 4 feet the limit toward the aisle. A 42-inch bar top sits under that line, so we put the pour station at the front and the lit bottle wall at the back, where the height is allowed.

Gold kettle pouring hot water over loose tea leaves in a porcelain cup3

Cook inside 288 square inches

LVCC fire rules hold each cooking appliance to 288 square inches, require electric fryers with lids and no more than 3 gallons of oil, and want a Class K extinguisher within 30 feet. We lay the cook station on fire-retardant-treated surfaces and hold each fryer 24 inches from other equipment so it passes the fire walk-through.

Bartender in a gray apron shaking a cocktail in front of lit bottle shelves4

Sell the show special, not a price

Questex's 2025 exhibitor rules ban price signs and retail sales on the floor; orders taken at the show are delivered after it closes. We design an order counter with a tablet, a QR code to your show-special sheet and a seat for the owner, so the conversation ends in a written order rather than a price tag.

Logistics for Bar & Restaurant Expo 2027, handled

Bar & Restaurant Expo runs in the LVCC South Hall at 3150 Paradise Road, the two-level hall across Desert Inn Road, joined to the rest of the campus by bridges. Level 2 freight elevators limit crate sizes, so we check every crate against them before we build. GES is the official decorator and runs material handling, and forklifts and pallet jacks stay with GES and Teamsters Local 631. Outside installers need the LVCC's $250 annual EAC permit and insurance on file. We ship to the GES advance warehouse, file the LVCVA sampling and booth-plan forms, and our Las Vegas crew installs with a project manager on the floor while our Las Vegas shop handles overnight reprints.

Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Las Vegas Convention Center exhibitor guide.

Hall guide

The whole expo runs in the LVCC South Hall, with the floor sorted by what owners shop for. Here is what the hall, the pavilions and the feature areas mean for your booth.

LVCC South Hall

Built 2002 to 2004 across Desert Inn Road and joined to the campus by bridges, with about 1.3 million square feet on two levels; Level 2 freight elevators limit crate sizes.

Our advice: We measure every crate and bar module against the Level 2 elevators before production, so nothing has to be rebuilt on the dock.

Five pavilions

Food & Beverage; Equipment, Furniture & Build-Out; Services, Supplies & Solutions; Technology & Innovation; and Entertainment & Experience each hold their own category of exhibitors.

Our advice: Your neighbors sell what you sell, so we lead with the one thing that sets your product apart, readable from the aisle in a few seconds.

World Tea Expo section

For 2027 World Tea Expo keeps a dedicated section inside the Food & Beverage pavilion, aimed at on-premise tea, bar and restaurant buyers.

Our advice: Tea brands here pour hot samples, so we plan hot water, the handwash station and cup storage into a compact counter.

Feature areas

The F&B Solutions Center by Middleby, Restaurant of the Future by Shift4 and The Game Room by OneSource Amusements let owners test equipment, technology and games on the floor.

Our advice: Owners arrive having seen gear run in these areas, so we make sure your own product is plugged in and working, not just on a plinth.

Bar & Restaurant Expo exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before Bar & Restaurant Expo

How much does a booth at Bar & Restaurant Expo 2027 cost?

For a spirits, beer, mixer or tea brand we usually quote a 10×20 back-bar build: $7,500 to $15,000 rented, $15,000 to $45,000 custom. Here the bar drives the number: ice wells, under-counter refrigeration, the handwash station sampling requires and lit bottle shelving. Equipment or game-room exhibitors on a 20×20 island run $50,000 to $120,000 custom. The organizer bills floor space and GES bills services separately.

What are the deadlines for Bar & Restaurant Expo 2027?

Show hotel rates through Connections Housing end February 17, 2027. The LVCC wants booth plans for any covered area over 300 square feet, or any single-level exhibit over 1,000 square feet, 30 days before the first move-in day, and show management must approve any solid island wall 30 days before the show (2026 rules). We need your design approved in early January.

Can we rent a bar booth for Bar & Restaurant Expo?

Yes. Our Las Vegas shop rents the frame, graphics, lighting and a bar-height counter, delivered, installed and struck on a fixed proposal, from $3,500 for a 10×10. Because the inventory sits in town, we can add a back bar with ice wells and lit bottle shelves without cross-country freight, and reprint a graphic overnight if a label changes mid-show.

Can our own staff set up our booth in the LVCC South Hall?

Your full-time employees can install with hand tools and hand-carry what one person can lift, but the LVCC bans dollies and hand trucks, allows only personally owned pickups or vans in its lots for hand-carry, and routes forklift work through GES and Teamsters Local 631. Any outside installer needs the LVCC's EAC permit and insurance, and the 2025 exhibitor rules keep anyone under 21 off the floor, even during set-up.

Can we pour alcohol and serve food samples at Bar & Restaurant Expo?

Yes. The show allows alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and food to be sampled in and from your booth. The LVCC sets the terms: an approval form to the LVCVA, 3-ounce nonalcoholic and 2-ounce food portions, a hot-water handwash and sanitizing station, and TAM-certified venue bartenders for alcohol unless an exception is granted. We file the form and build the station into your counter.

Can we cook or run a fryer in our booth at the LVCC?

Within the venue's limits. Each cooking appliance stays within 288 square inches, fryers must be electric with a shut-off, a lid and no more than 3 gallons of oil, with 6 gallons per booth, and a Class K extinguisher sits within 30 feet. Charcoal and wood are banned, and small propane cylinders leave the building every night. We lay out the cook station to those rules.

What does drayage cost at Bar & Restaurant Expo, and who pays it?

GES bills material handling straight to you from the drayage tariff on its online ordering site; at the LVCC that means a rate per hundredweight with a 200-pound minimum per shipment. Las Vegas rates run above the national average, surcharges stack for uncrated or late freight, and glassware, kegs and refrigeration add weight fast. We consolidate crates onto one bill of lading and estimate drayage on your proposal.

We are exhibiting from outside the US. Can you help with Bar & Restaurant Expo?

Our part starts once your goods are in the country: advance-warehouse freight through GES, install, dismantle and storage in our Las Vegas shop. Food and drink samples need a U.S.-based FSVP importer before they enter the country; Questex's 2026 shipping guide named Phoenix International as customs broker and The Radius Group for FSVP, with that process started at least 30 days before export.

Can we reuse our Bar & Restaurant Expo booth at other shows?

We build the bar, shelving and frame as modules that resize from a 10×20 to an island, so the same kit can go on to Pizza Expo at the LVCC in April, the Craft Brewers Conference in San Antonio or the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago in May. Between shows it stays in our Las Vegas shop, where we refresh graphics for each audience.

When is Bar & Restaurant Expo 2027?

Bar & Restaurant Expo 2027 runs Monday, March 22 to Wednesday, March 24, 2027. The Expo Hall opens Tuesday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, March 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. GES sets exhibitor move-in for March 21 and 22, and attendees who register by November 30, 2026 save up to $200.

Where is Bar & Restaurant Expo 2027 held?

In the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center at 3150 Paradise Road. The LVCVA puts Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) 3.5 miles away. Rides between Vegas Loop stations on the campus are free, and South Station lets you out at the rear of the Expo Hall during show hours.

How many people attend Bar & Restaurant Expo?

Questex (now Forge) counted nearly 10,000 operators, owners, beverage directors, chefs and suppliers at the 40th-anniversary show in March 2026, from all 50 states and more than 25 countries. The 2025 edition welcomed 10,984 attendees, and the record 2024 show drew 12,378 attendees and 500 exhibitors, 25% more exhibitors than in 2023.

Is Bar & Restaurant Expo open to the public?

No. Registration is for industry professionals and people preparing to enter the industry, and everyone must be 21 or older, with ID checked before badge pickup. Children and infants are not admitted because adult beverages are served. Visitors choose between two passes: the Expo Pass, or the All Access Pass, which adds Workshops and Masterclasses.

How do I get a booth at Bar & Restaurant Expo?

Forge, formerly Questex, sells the floor. You reserve space on the Book Your Booth page or ask for the prospectus through the organizer's inquiry form. Each standard 10×10 includes four exhibitor badges, a booth ID sign and drape: 8 feet at the back, 3 feet along the sides.

Before you sign with anyone

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for Bar & Restaurant Expo:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
