A few questions
before you go.
What should I do one month before a trade show?
Confirm your goals and booth staff responsibilities, practice your pitch and demos, test lead capture, and prepare follow-up. Check remaining production and show-service deadlines with your exhibit partner and event organizer.
Is 30 days enough to plan a trade show booth?
This checklist covers the final month of team preparation. It is not a recommended starting point for a new custom booth build. Design, fabrication, shipping, and venue requirements may need more time. Ask your exhibit partner to confirm a schedule for your specific project.
How many people should staff a trade show booth?
There is no single number for every booth. Plan around expected visitor traffic, booth size, demonstration needs, meeting schedules, and break coverage. Assign the essential roles and check that someone remains available to welcome visitors while colleagues are occupied.
What is a good trade show goal?
A good goal is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. For example, a team might aim to capture a defined number of qualified leads during the show and schedule follow-up demonstrations by a set date. Choose targets based on your capacity and previous results.
What information should I capture from trade show leads?
Along with contact details, record the visitor’s challenge, product interest, buying process, timing, and agreed next step. Assign an owner and follow-up date so the conversation can continue after the show.
