Give your team a practice run before the real thing.

Confidence comes from knowing the material—and knowing what to do when the conversation takes a turn.
One visitor. One challenge.
One clear next step.
Your visitor likes the demo, but needs to explain its value to a colleague.
Make the rehearsal useful
- Play the visitor. Bring a realistic problem or question.
- Run the conversation. Welcome, ask, explain, and agree on a next step.
- Observe the handoff. Did the visitor know who would help and what would happen?
- Switch roles. Try again with a different scenario.
Be approachable
Keep entrances clear, give visitors your attention, and face them while presenting. Respect personal space and individual communication preferences.
Dress for the day
Choose a professional look that reflects your brand. Plan comfortable footwear and breaks, and make team members easy to recognize.
Stay curious
Use clear language, avoid assumptions about a visitor’s role or knowledge, and be patient with different communication styles.
Rehearse one real booth scenario
Practice with a teammate, then write one thing to improve before the show.

Northline Filtration · ProcessTech Expo
The scenario we practicedOn October 13, we rehearsed a maintenance manager asking whether a duplex unit would eliminate filter-change downtime while Luis was already in a technical discussion. Priya welcomed the visitor, Eli asked about their current procedure, and Maya arranged a later slot with Luis. Eli demonstrated the switching sequence without promising a plant result. We then walked the visitor route from aisle to demo to meeting corner and completed one sample lead card.
What we will improveOur first attempt took four minutes before we asked about the visitor's water line, and Priya had to cross the entrance to reach the lead tablet. For the October 16 repeat, Eli will ask the opening question within the first exchange and keep the overview under 60 seconds unless the visitor asks for more. Priya will keep the tablet at the reception point. Maya will observe whether arrivals still have a clear welcome during the handoff.
