What makes GJX different, and how we build for it
GJX, the Gem and Jewelry Exchange, opened in 1994 with 35 booths and now fills a 120,000 square foot carpeted, climate-controlled structure on Granada Avenue with nearly 700 booths.It is wholesale to the trade only, limited to finished jewelry, precious and semi-precious stones, gem carvings and related lapidary equipment and packaging. The floor plan groups the Main Tent, the Premier Pavilion where every new exhibitor starts, and national groups from Idar-Oberstein, Brazil and Sri Lanka plus the ICA Group. Armed off-duty Tucson Police staff the site 24 hours a day, and GJX honors AGTA buyer badges, so the AGTA crowd from across the street walks in.
Prices on every tray, a seat and a loupe, and enough stock in calibrated sizes to fill a store order in one visit.

For GJX, we build in our own shop in Fishkill, NY, and at our Las Vegas hub, ship to the GJX pavilion, 198 S Granada Avenue, and put our own project manager on the floor with vetted local labor for the install. A predictable 30–45-day turnaround, secure storage and a pre-show QA before GJX.
When your team gets to Tucson, the booth is lit and stocked. You just show up.

Inside GJX 2027
Rules that shape your booth
GJX places all new exhibitors in the Premier Pavilion and treats an application as a request, not a guaranteed booth. We design first-year counters that read clearly among other newcomers and move with you when GJX reassigns you.
GJX limits the show to finished jewelry, precious and semi-precious stones, gem carvings and related lapidary equipment and packaging, and asks applicants for their finished-to-loose ratio. We lay out counters to match the ratio you declare.
Applicants upload documents showing the company is legally registered and in good standing, such as a certificate of incorporation or trade license, plus product or booth photos. We supply rendered booth images if your past booths need an update.
Under GJX's 2020 rules, visitors may not bring cameras or record images without GJX's written consent, and GJX may search belongings. We plan printed lot cards and graphics so buyers leave with your details instead of a photo.
Everyone on the GJX floor must be 14 or older with photo ID, and strollers, wagons and pets are barred. Plan staffing with that in mind; family members helping at the counter need to meet the age rule.

GJX sells booths inside its pavilion, and an exhibitor application requests one or two booths, with first-time exhibitors placed in the Premier Pavilion. That makes GJX a counter-and-showcase show, not an island show; we build compact lit counters, tray storage and graphics that fit one or two booths.

Four things we get right for GJX exhibitors
1Price on the tray, light on the stone
GJX buyers carry cash-and-carry budgets and compare dozens of dealers in a day. We build counters with slots for price cards beside each tray and daylight-balanced case lighting, so a buyer can judge color and cost without asking twice.
2Built for a carpeted tent
The GJX structure is carpeted and climate controlled but it is still a temporary pavilion. We use freestanding counters and lightweight backwalls that stand without anchoring, with cable routes taped to carpet and nothing that relies on a hard floor.
The Premier Pavilion first impression
Every new GJX exhibitor starts in the Premier Pavilion, beside other first-timers chasing the same buyers. A clean brand line, the country of origin and your specialty on the backwall tell a walking buyer why to stop at your counter.
A six-day lock routine
GJX runs Saturday to Thursday with police on site around the clock, but your goods are still yours to secure. We build lockable cabinets with a safe bay and a tray layout your team can clear and lock at 6 p.m. each night.

Logistics for GJX 2027, handled
GJX sits at 198 S Granada Avenue in downtown Tucson, across the street from the Tucson Convention Center, where the gem-show shuttles stop. Buyers park in a paid VIP lot in front of the tent by registration or in the regular lot behind it. Arizona is a right-to-work state, and GJX sets its own move-in schedule with accepted exhibitors. We ship counters, case lighting and graphics from our shop, arrange freight to Tucson on GJX's schedule, and a Purple project manager oversees the setup inside the pavilion.

Questions exhibitors ask us before GJX
When is GJX 2027?
GJX 2027 runs Saturday, January 30 to Thursday, February 4, 2027. GJX moved the show from its earlier February 1 to 6 dates. Doors open at 10 each morning and close at 6 in the evening Saturday through Wednesday; on Thursday the floor shuts at 4 and admits no buyers after 3.
Where is GJX held in Tucson?
GJX is at 198 S Granada Avenue in downtown Tucson, in a 120,000 square foot ultra-structure that is fully carpeted and climate controlled. It sits across the street from the Tucson Convention Center, where AGTA GemFair runs the same week and the gem-show shuttles stop.
Is GJX open to the public?
GJX is wholesale to the trade only and not open to the public. Buyers must work in the gem and jewelry industry or its related products, be 14 or older, show photo ID and dress business casual. GJX decides at its own discretion whether a registrant qualifies.
What do buyers need to register for GJX?
A company provides a Jewelers Board of Trade number or a business, resale or tax-exempt license dated within two years that shows industry affiliation; otherwise, invoices from three suppliers totaling at least $5,000. Each buyer also proves employment with a printed business card, a W-2 or a pay stub.
Does GJX accept AGTA badges?
GJX honors AGTA buyer badges: bring the badge, photo ID and a business card to the AGTA Sticker Counter to have it validated. AGTA guest badges are not honored, and a GJX guest badge costs $35 on site.
How do I exhibit at GJX?
Apply through GJX's exhibitor registration with your website or product photos, photos of your booth at other shows, the ratio of finished jewelry to loose stones, and proof that your business is registered and in good standing. An application asks for one or two booths, and acceptance does not guarantee a booth.
Where do new GJX exhibitors go?
All new exhibitors must start in the Premier Pavilion, a section of the GJX floor plan beside the Main Tent. Established exhibitors and national groups such as the Idar-Oberstein, Brazil and Sri Lanka groups and the ICA Group sit elsewhere on the plan.
How much does a booth at GJX cost?
GJX sets booth prices with accepted exhibitors and does not post a rate card on its site. Your display is a separate line: a lit counter kit for two booths, built to reuse at JCK week or JOGS, typically falls in our 10×20 rental range of $7,500 to $15,000.
Can buyers take photos at GJX?
GJX rules bar visitors from bringing cameras or recording images of any kind without GJX's written consent, and GJX can demand any images taken in breach (rules revised 2020). Your booth should sell without a buyer needing to photograph a parcel.
How many exhibitors are at GJX?
GJX describes the show as over 650 booths and exhibitors from around the globe, and its about page counts nearly 700 booths in the pavilion. Its online exhibitor list runs to about 450 entries, from German, Brazilian and Sri Lankan gem houses to Hong Kong and Chinese jewelry makers.
Is GJX secure for exhibitors?
GJX states that armed, off-duty Tucson Police personnel are on site 24 hours a day for staff, buyers and exhibitors. Every person on the floor wears a badge, and the visitor rules allow random bag searches and CCTV recording.
Where do GJX buyers park?
GJX offers two paid options: VIP buyer parking directly in front of the tent by registration, and the regular buyer lot behind the tent. Shuttle service to the other shows runs from across the street at the Tucson Convention Center.
Can you set up our GJX booth?
We build compact counters, case lighting and graphics for one or two GJX booths, freight them to Tucson on GJX's move-in schedule and send a Purple project manager to set them up. Afterward we store the kit for JCK week or your next show.
