What makes JIS different, and how we build for it
JIS has run trade-only jewelry shows since 1979, and RX still times both Miami Beach editions to the retail calendar: JIS Spring restocks stores for Mother's Day, weddings and graduation, and JIS Fall feeds the holiday season. Its edge is immediate delivery. Exhibitors write future orders or hand over product on the floor, and a third of JIS Fall buyers fly in from Latin America and the Caribbean to restock. The hall is sorted into pavilions, from the hard-walled Galleria and Lab Grown rows to Silver & Fashion and the ETS Pavilion for tools and services, and the JIS Platinum Club gives its top retailers a private lounge and a concierge who books exhibitor meetings.
One or two-store owners who restock against a season, compare price points case by case and want to leave with goods or a confirmed ship date.
Retailers who rely on JIS for the season's inventory, often take goods home from the floor, and need Spanish-speaking staff, clear pricing and pieces they can carry home.
Higher-volume buyers met through the club's matchmaking concierge, who expect a seated table, line sheets and a quiet place to negotiate terms.

The booth is lit and stocked when your team reaches the Miami Beach Convention Center. You just show up.

Inside JIS 2027
Rules that shape your JIS booth
Under the 2026 JIS rules linear booths stop at 12 ft, peninsulas at 20 ft and islands at 25 ft, with no variances granted, and hanging signs need an island or peninsula of 400 sq ft. We design headers and signs to those exact heights.
Only Brinks, Malca-Amit and Ferrari may serve JIS, under City of Miami Beach licensing. We plan the move-in day around your car's arrival so the cases are stocked and lit before the 10 a.m. opening.
JIS strictly bans closing a booth early to be first in the vault line and can withdraw future space for it. We build lift-out tray stacks so your team packs the cases quickly after the bell instead.
Walls facing a neighbor must be finished and free of graphics, see-through back walls are refused, and anything unfinished after 9 a.m. on opening day is draped at your cost. Hardwall booths keep a 9-inch rear gap for electrical access.
Exhibitors must follow the FTC Guides for jewelry and the National Gold and Silver Stamping Act and disclose every gemstone treatment. We design price cards and case labels with space for quality marks and treatment codes.
Programs worth planning for
JIS's community of hand-selected high-volume buyers, about 10% of attendees per JIS, who get a personal concierge for exhibitor matchmaking, valet parking, a private lounge and express badge pickup.

JIS sells 10×10 pavilion booths with set equipment (pipe and drape in Fine Jewelry and Silver & Fashion, 8 ft hard walls in Galleria and Lab Grown, carpet only in Brands), plus peninsulas and islands from 20×20. For a manufacturer with several lines we recommend a 10×20 or 10×30 run of cases; island hanging signs need 400 sq ft.

Because JIS buyers can take product home the same day, we build deep lockable case bases and a back counter for invoicing and packing, so restocking a sold-out tray takes seconds and the sale never pauses the aisle.

JIS lays its floor out by pavilion, and each pavilion comes with its own booth equipment. These are the areas the 2026 shows used inside the Miami Beach Convention Center and what each means for your build.
Halls A to D
About 500,000 sq ft of exhibit space sits on a single level, with docks on the west side off Convention Center Drive; Expo CCI addressed 2026 JIS freight to Halls A to D.
Our advice Direct freight lands only in the move-in window, so we route your crates through the advance warehouse and keep the dock slot for the showcases.
Galleria Pavilion
JIS's premium buying area; in 2026 its 10×10 booths came with 8 ft hard walls, a company-name header and grey carpet, with power ordered separately.
Our advice We print wall graphics sized to the hard-wall panels and light the cases from the header, so the Galleria booth reads as a boutique without a custom structure.
Lab Grown and Brands Pavilions
Lab Grown booths had 8 ft hard walls and black carpet in 2026; Brands Pavilion booths came with carpet only, leaving the structure to the exhibitor.
Our advice A Brands Pavilion space is the place for a full custom booth; we design walls, cases and a header within the 12 ft linear height limit.
West Lobby and registration
JIS signs guide buyers from the Level 5 parking deck to the main registration area in the West Lobby, where badges are checked against photo ID.
Our advice Buyers enter from one side, so a booth near the West Lobby entrance gets the first look; we put your strongest case on the aisle that faces it.

Logistics for JIS 2027, handled
The Miami Beach Convention Center sits on an island, so freight crosses a causeway and Expo Convention Contractors (Expo CCI) runs the docks, the advance warehouse at 15959 NW 15th Avenue in Miami and the floor. Florida is right-to-work and your full-time staff may set their own booth, but Edlen holds electrical and track lighting, and IATSE Local 500 handles staging, AV and rigging. In 2026 Expo CCI charged 25% for freight outside its warehouse window. We file the EAC paperwork and insurance, ship to the warehouse inside the window, and our project manager leads the install on the floor with the labor the show allows.

When is JIS Spring 2027?
JIS Spring 2027 runs Sunday, March 7 to Tuesday, March 9, 2027. Doors open at 10 a.m. all three days and close at 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday and at 4 p.m. Tuesday; attendee registration starts at 8:30 a.m. daily, per JIS.
When is JIS Fall 2027?
JIS Fall 2027 is set for September 17–20, 2027, again at the Miami Beach Convention Center. It is the larger, holiday-focused edition: JIS cites 5,500+ qualified attendees for the fall show. The most recent edition, JIS Fall 2026, ran October 16–19, 2026.
Where is JIS held?
Both JIS editions take over the Miami Beach Convention Center (No. 1901 on Convention Center Drive, FL 33139), about 12 miles from Miami International Airport, per JIS. Buyers check in at the West Lobby, and in 2026 Expo CCI addressed show freight to Halls A to D.
How much does a booth at JIS cost?
JIS publishes no space rate; your sales representative quotes it. The build is the part we price: a 10×20 rental with lit showcases and graphics runs $7,500 to $15,000, and a custom 20×20 island $50,000 to $120,000. Case count and lighting move the number more than square footage.
What comes with a standard JIS booth?
It depends on the pavilion. In 2026, Fine Jewelry 10×10s got an 8 ft white back drape, 3 ft side drape, black carpet and an ID sign; Silver & Fashion got blue and white drape; Galleria and Lab Grown got 8 ft hard walls and a header; Brands got carpet only. Electrical is never included.
How tall can a booth be at JIS?
Linear booths stop at 12 feet, peninsulas at 20 feet and islands at 25 feet, including lights and signs, under the 2026 JIS rules. Only islands, peninsulas and walk-through booths of 400 sq ft or more, at least 20 ft deep and wide, may hang a sign.
Which armored car companies can serve JIS?
Only Brinks, Malca-Amit and Ferrari, because the City of Miami Beach licenses armored car services and others are refused at the building. In 2026 JIS asked exhibitors to collect merchandise from the cars by 6 p.m. on move-in day so cases were stocked for the 10 a.m. open.
How does the JIS vault work?
Any exhibitor badge gives vault access, but the person who checks merchandise in must claim it, with matching claim ticket, signature and photo ID, and a second authorized person is listed on the tag. In 2026, merchandise left after the final morning cost $150 an hour.
Can we set up our own booth at the Miami Beach Convention Center?
Full-time employees of the exhibiting company may set their own exhibit under the 2026 JIS rules, and hand-carry is allowed for what one person can carry in one trip without a dolly. Electrical work is Edlen's alone, and staging and audio-visual work is union labor.
Is JIS open to the public?
JIS is trade only. Retailers qualify with $10,000 in invoices from two finished-jewelry suppliers within a year or a JBT listing, plus a business license and proof of employment. Children under 14 are barred during show hours, and during move-in and move-out the age floor rises to 18.
Who exhibits at JIS?
Manufacturers, wholesalers and brands of fine and bridal jewelry, diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, gold, silver and fashion jewelry, watches, and the tools, technology and services sold in the ETS Pavilion. Suppliers who sell to retailers but do not exhibit pay $1,195 for a non-exhibiting professional badge.
What rules apply to the jewelry we display at JIS?
JIS calls itself a full disclosure show. Exhibitors must follow the FTC Guides for the jewelry industry and the National Gold and Silver Stamping Act, and every gemstone treatment beyond cutting and polishing must be disclosed. We give your price cards room for treatment and metal-quality notes.
Is JIS worth exhibiting at?
For suppliers selling to independents and to Caribbean and Latin American stores, it is one of few U.S. shows where buyers pay and carry goods home. JIS cites a 10 to 1 attendee-to-exhibitor ratio at the spring show and says 10% of its buyers are Platinum Club members.
Can one booth serve both JIS Spring and JIS Fall?
That is how we plan it. We store the booth between March and September, refresh graphics for the holiday line, and ship it back to the Expo CCI warehouse for the fall show. The same cases can also travel to JCK Las Vegas in June.
