Caesars Forum: the exhibitor's guide
The newest room in Las Vegas: 550,000 sq ft of pillarless ballrooms behind the LINQ, with a Monorail station at the door. It is a ballroom, not a hall, and that changes how you build.

Caesars Forum is not a traditional exhibit hall. It is two of the largest pillarless ballrooms ever built, plus two more, on one carpeted level. That makes it the best room in Las Vegas for a general session with an expo attached, and a different build for anyone used to concrete floors.
SHOT Show, SuiteWorld and AWS re:Invent use it, and corporate conferences fill most other weeks. This guide covers the ballroom rules that catch exhibitors out, and it has a converter that tells you what changes when your usual booth moves onto carpet.

The building
Four ballrooms and a plaza

History
From Imperial Palace to the Forum
The Forum stands on land that was a parking lot behind the Imperial Palace for forty years. Caesars turned the Imperial Palace into the LINQ, built the High Roller behind it, and then put a conference center where the cars used to be.
The Imperial Palace opens next to Harrah's on the center Strip. For decades its back lot on Koval Lane is parking.
The Imperial Palace becomes the LINQ. The LINQ Promenade and the 550-foot High Roller open on the old back lot, facing the future Forum site.
Caesars Entertainment breaks ground on a stand-alone conference center on Koval Lane, behind the Promenade.
Caesars Forum is completed in March at a cost of $375 million, days before Las Vegas shuts down. The two 110,000 sq ft pillarless ballrooms are announced as the largest in the world.
The first large events arrive as the city reopens. AWS re:Invent adds the Forum to its citywide footprint.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix circuit runs along Koval Lane; the Forum sits inside the race footprint every November.

Rules of the floor
Ballroom rules: carpet, loads, exclusives
Everything that makes the Forum beautiful for attendees makes it different for exhibit builders. Plan for a carpeted hotel ballroom, not a concrete hall.
Carpet everywhere
The ballrooms are carpeted. Floor protection is required under structures, and forklifts stay at the dock; freight moves the last stretch on pallet jacks and dollies. Heavy product needs a load check; the venue publishes floor-load ratings on request.
Same unions, Caesars house rules
Teamsters Local 631 for material handling, IATSE Local 720 for rigging and AV. EAC forms go to the show and to Caesars with a certificate naming the property.
In-house rigging, power and AV
Rigging, electrical, internet and AV are venue-exclusive. Ballroom rigging is priced per point and the points are fixed, so the sign position is set by the ceiling grid, not by your design.
Docks on Koval Lane
Loading docks are on the Koval Lane side. Direct-to-show trucks are called in by the contractor; there is little room to wait, so off-target arrivals are sent away. Ship advance warehouse.
Build lighter and lower
Aluminum frame, fabric graphics, no double-decks. Sightlines are open across 110,000 sq ft, so a 12 ft back wall with a lit header does the work a hanging sign does elsewhere.
Koval Lane is the racetrack
In the Grand Prix window the dock street is part of the circuit. Shows avoid those weeks; if yours does not, freight windows are set by the race schedule.
Empties and the MHA
EMPTY stickers on as you unpack; MHA turned in before leaving. Purple returns the booth to our Las Vegas warehouse the same night.
Certificates
Certificate naming the organizer and Caesars Entertainment, typically $1M per occurrence. Purple's is on file.

A keynote in the Academy, an expo in the Forum, and a reception on the plaza under the High Roller. Sponsors here get judged in the twenty minutes between sessions, so the booth has to say one thing fast.

Logistics
Hotels, the Monorail, crew logistics
- Monorail: the Harrah's/LINQ station connects directly to the Forum. The LVCC is two stops north, which makes this the best Las Vegas venue for a split show.
- Airport: about 4 miles; 15 to 25 minutes by rideshare.
- Freight: docks on Koval Lane; marshaling per the show contractor.
- Parking: the LINQ and Harrah's garages; validation policies vary by event.

Caesars Forum FAQ
Can I use my regular booth at Caesars Forum?
Usually with changes. Carpet protection goes under the structure, anything heavy needs a load check, and a hanging sign depends on where the fixed rigging points are. Run the converter above; Purple adapts existing booths for ballroom venues every season.
Is there a freight elevator?
No. Everything is on one level, which is a real advantage. The constraint is the carpet, not the height.
How is drayage billed?
Most shows bill per hundredweight like other Las Vegas venues; some ballroom events bill per piece. The estimator above covers the first; Purple quotes the second from the show kit.
Can I hang a sign?
Yes, from the fixed ceiling points, priced per point by the in-house rigger. The sign lands where the grid allows, so Purple checks the point map before designing it.
How do I get between the Forum and the Venetian during SHOT Show?
Walk across the Strip via the Harrah's bridge, about 12 minutes, or take the show shuttle. Purple runs both halls with one crew lead.
Is the Forum affected by the Formula 1 race?
Yes, more than any other venue: Koval Lane is part of the circuit. Shows avoid the race window; if yours is close to it, freight windows are set by the race schedule.
Can I display a vehicle?
On the Forum Plaza outdoors, yes, with permits through the venue. Inside the ballrooms it depends on weight, floor protection and the fire marshal's fuel rules; Purple has done it and it takes six weeks of lead time.
Where do crews stay?
Harrah's or the LINQ, connected by bridge, three minutes from the dock.
Is there a Monorail station?
Yes. The Harrah's/LINQ station connects directly to the Forum. The LVCC is two stops north.
What does Purple do that the show contractor does not?
The contractor moves freight and rents pipe-and-drape. Purple designs, builds, ships, installs, supervises and stores your booth, files the EAC and MHA paperwork, and has a shop fifteen minutes away.
