Westgate Las Vegas and the LVCC: from the International to the Loop next door
The hotel Kirk Kerkorian opened as the International in 1969 added its own halls in 1977 and 1984, and it now has a monorail stop, a Vegas Loop station and a five-minute walk to the LVCC. For exhibitors that means two things: standalone expos in its own halls, and overflow from the big shows next door.
- 113,130 sq ftThe 1977 Pavilion plus the 1984 Hilton Center, now the Paradise Event Center: the two high-ceiling halls most Westgate expos use.
- ~5 minThe walk to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Groups book Westgate rooms as LVCC overflow, so meeting space and rooms fill up during big convention weeks.
- 2004The Las Vegas Monorail opened with a station at the hotel, with a stop at the convention center and a line south along the Strip.
- Jan 2025The Westgate's Vegas Loop station opened at the hotel's porte-cochère. The ride to the LVCC takes under a minute.
- $4.25One way from the Westgate Loop station to the LVCC stations ($7 round trip, as of mid-2026). Rides between the LVCC's own stations are free.
Floor plan & exhibit halls

Labor & union rules
Westgate Las Vegas union rules: who can do what
Nevada is a right-to-work state, but on a Las Vegas show floor the general contractor's union agreements decide the work. Teamsters Local 631, which ratified a new four-year contract in June 2026, covers exhibit build, freight and forklifts. Rules are set show by show, so treat this as a guide and check your show kit.
✓Your full-time staff (typical)
- Set up and dismantle your own exhibit, carrying company ID such as a payroll stub or medical card
- Hand-carry small items without material handling equipment
- At shows that allow self load-in, unload your own vehicle with self-supplied hand trucks and flat carts
- Plug in equipment and run your own cables inside the booth
●Contractor and Westgate
- Freight handling, truck unloading and empty storage
- Forklifts and other mechanized equipment: licensed personnel only
- Electrical distribution, run overhead at the Westgate; 380/480-volt power must go overhead
- Exhibit build by anyone other than your own staff falls under Teamsters jurisdiction
- Food and beverage through the Westgate; outside food is not allowed
- Audio-visual in hotel suites through the Westgate's exclusive in-house department
!Watch for
- Power in lobbies and meeting rooms can add labor, truss and material charges
- Overhead lights in some areas carry a per-fixture surcharge
- No direct shipments at shows that require the advance warehouse
- No unloading through valet
- Suites: displays and signs max 6 ft, nothing on walls or sprinklers

Insider tips
Westgate Las Vegas exhibitor tips: what experienced teams do
Assume no direct shipments
GES-run shows here have refused every direct shipment because of security and limited storage. Route crates through the advance warehouse unless your kit clearly says otherwise.
Trucks go to the Ballroom dock
Where trucks are allowed, they unload at the Ballroom loading dock. Valet is off-limits for unloading, so don't let a driver try the front drive.
Plan power from the ceiling
Westgate power comes from overhead, and 380/480-volt service must run overhead. Island booths need drops from above; power in lobbies and meeting rooms can add labor and truss charges.
Keep tall builds out of the Ballroom
The Paradise Event Center gives you 24′9″ and the Pavilion 23′2″, but the Ballroom drops to 12′4″–17′8″. Check which room your aisle is in before you order a tall backwall.
Use FedEx Office for boxes only
The FedEx Office just past Ballroom A is handy for literature and carry-in boxes, but it charges by weight and does not move crates or pallets to the floor.
Book rooms before the LVCC crowd
The resort fills during big LVCC conventions next door. If your Westgate show overlaps one, lock in the 2,956-room hotel block early or plan a Loop or monorail commute.
The building
From the International to the Westgate
Built as Nevada's biggest hotel, run for four decades as the Las Vegas Hilton, and now a convention resort that lives off the building next door.

- 1969Kirk Kerkorian opens the International Hotel on July 2: 1,510 rooms, Nevada's largest hotel and tallest building. Elvis Presley opens July 31 and plays 636 sold-out shows through 1976.
- 1971Hilton takes over and renames it the Las Vegas Hilton.
- 1977The $7.5 million Hilton Pavilion opens, today's 43,130 sq ft Pavilion.
- 1981Tower additions bring the hotel to 3,174 rooms, the world's largest hotel until 1990.
- 1984The 70,000 sq ft Hilton Center opens. It is now the Paradise Event Center.
- 2004The Las Vegas Monorail opens with a station at the hotel.
- 2012The Hilton name comes off; the property becomes the LVH.
- 2014Westgate Resorts buys it on June 30 and renames it Westgate Las Vegas.
- 2025A Vegas Loop station opens at the resort in January, linking it to the LVCC.
FAQ
Westgate Las Vegas FAQ for exhibitors
How big is the Westgate Las Vegas convention space?
225,000 square feet in total, led by the 70,000 square foot Paradise Event Center (31,800 sq ft North and 38,200 sq ft South), the 43,130 square foot Pavilion and the 35,000 square foot Ballroom, plus conference and board rooms.
Is Westgate Las Vegas union?
Show labor is. Nevada is a right-to-work state, but Las Vegas show labor works under the general contractor's union agreements; Teamsters Local 631 covers exhibit installation, freight and forklifts. Exactly what your own staff may do is set by each show's work rules, so check your show kit.
Can I set up my own booth at the Westgate?
Usually, if the work is done by full-time employees of your company carrying company ID. Exhibit work by anyone else falls under the union agreement. Ladder, tool and size rules differ by show and contractor, so confirm them in your show kit.
Can I ship my exhibit directly to Westgate Las Vegas?
Often not. GES-run shows at the Westgate have refused all direct shipments because of security and limited storage, and send everything through the advance warehouse. Where trucks are allowed, they unload at the Ballroom loading dock, never through valet.
Can I unload my own vehicle?
At some shows. FlightSimExpo, for example, lets full-time staff self load-in at the dock with their own hand trucks and flat carts, with no forklifts. Other shows route all freight through the contractor. Check your show kit.
What is the ceiling height in the Westgate halls?
24′9″ in the Paradise Event Center, 23′2″ in the Pavilion, 12′4″ to 17′8″ in the Ballroom and 10′ in Conference Rooms 1–6.
How much is drayage at Westgate Las Vegas?
Plan about $175 per hundredweight for crated freight. That is a planning number, not a published Westgate rate; your general contractor's show kit carries the actual tariff.
How do I get from the Westgate to the Las Vegas Convention Center?
Walk about five minutes, ride the Vegas Loop from the Westgate station (opened January 2025), or take the Las Vegas Monorail, which stops at the Westgate and the convention center.
Can I ship small boxes to the hotel?
Yes, through the FedEx Office in the convention area just past Ballroom A. It handles packages you can carry, charges handling by weight, and does not take crates or pallets onto the show floor.

Exhibiting at the Westgate?
Paradise, Pavilion or a CES suite? Tell us which.
We will plan around the Westgate's quirks: power dropped from overhead, freight routed through the advance warehouse, and ceilings that run from 24′9″ in Paradise down to 12′4″ in parts of the Ballroom. Send your show and booth number for a design brief, drayage estimate and build timeline within two business days.
