What makes ReMA Convention & Expo different, and how we build for it

ReMA2027 is the Recycled Materials Association's annual convention, and it is where the recycling trade does business face to face: ferrous and nonferrous traders, paper and plastics brokers, mill buyers and equipment makers work the same aisles. At ReMA2026 equipment makers ran live demos on a Demonstration Stage on the show floor, a separate podcast stage sat in the lobby, and the Women in Recycling Council and the Young Executives Council (ReMAYE) held their own gatherings. Buyers walk the Expo Hall between trading appointments, so a booth has to show the machine or the material in seconds and still offer a seat where a deal can close.

Scrap yard and processing plant owners

To see the shredder, baler, shear or sorter in action, or at least its working parts, and to talk throughput, uptime and payback with someone who knows the machine.

Commodity traders and mill buyers

A quiet table for back-to-back appointments, clear grade and specification information, and a booth where a regular customer can sit down without a sales pitch.

Plant, safety and compliance managers

Practical answers on guarding, fire detection, PPE and software, with demonstrations they can take back to the yard.

Popular booth sizes at ReMA Convention & Expo

The ReMA Expo Hall mixes large islands from shredder, baler and material-handling makers with rows of 10×10 and 10×20 booths for traders, software and service firms. We recommend a 20×20 or larger when real equipment goes on the floor, and a 10×20 built around a meeting table for trading houses.

KLEEMANN at a industrial technology exhibition

An interactive booth for a global elevator manufacturer: digital simulations, real product showcases and a floor plan that guided visitors from first step to last.

Different machine, same task: KLEEMANN's booth guided visitors from simulation to real product, which is how a ReMA buyer judges a baler or shredder before talking payback.

04 Designing for recycling equipment, scrap processing and recycled materials brands at ReMA Convention & Expo

Four things we get right for ReMA Convention & Expo exhibitors

Woman in work gloves cutting a used plastic container while a coworker loads a machine behind her1

Plan the floor around the heaviest piece

A baler, shear head or eddy current separator sets the whole layout. We take weights and footprints from your engineering team, check them against the Music City Center floor load rating, plan forklift access and set the booth structure around the machine instead of squeezing it in afterward.

Black plastic injection molds stacked in a manufacturing workshop2

Show the process, not just the machine

Buyers at ReMA judge throughput and output quality. We pair the equipment with a sample of the input and the clean output side by side, plus a looping video of the machine running in a real yard, so the result reads without a salesperson.

3

Give traders a real meeting room

Much of the business at ReMA is done in appointments between suppliers and long-time customers. A closed or semi-closed room with a table for six, sound absorbing walls and a door that locks for laptops and contracts keeps those meetings out of the aisle.

4

Make safety visible

Safety is a headline topic for the association, and buyers notice it. We build guarding, signage and PPE into equipment displays, keep moving parts behind barriers during demos and design demo zones so a crowd can watch without stepping into the machine’s working area.

05 Music City Center · Nashville

Logistics for ReMA Convention & Expo 2027, handled

Music City Center's exhibit hall offers 353,143 square feet in four divisible halls, a 32 ft 6 in rigging height, a 350 pounds per square foot floor load, 32 loading docks and three drive-in ramps, which matters when a booth includes a full machine. The floor is scored in 10×10 sections and utility boxes every 30 feet carry water, compressed air and telecom, so we place equipment around them. We read the ReMA exhibitor kit, file the general contractor's orders, book freight to the advance warehouse or direct to the hall, and install with our own project manager and vetted local labor.

Hall guide

Music City Center's exhibit hall is one large floor divisible into four halls. These are the building features that shape a recycling equipment booth, wherever ReMA places you on the plan.

Exhibit hall floor

353,143 sq ft divisible into four halls, with a 32 ft 6 in rigging height and a 350 lb per sq ft floor load rating.

Our advice: A full baler or shear can sit on the floor without special decking, and a hanging sign over an equipment island has the height to read across the hall.

Loading docks and drive-in ramps

32 loading docks and three drive-in ramps serve the exhibit hall, so large equipment can roll onto the floor rather than squeeze through a freight elevator.

Our advice: We schedule heavy machines for direct delivery to the hall and send booth crates to the advance warehouse, so equipment is set before walls go up.

Floor utility boxes

The floor is scored in 10×10 sections, with utility boxes every 30 feet carrying water, compressed air and telecom.

Our advice: We place machines that need air or water over the nearest box, which saves long hose runs and keeps cable covers out of your demo zone.

ReMA Convention & Expo exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before ReMA Convention & Expo

How much does a booth at ReMA 2027 cost?

Our rentals start at $3,500 for a 10×10 and run $7,500 to $15,000 for a 10×20, and a custom 20×20 island runs $50,000 to $120,000. At ReMA the number moves with machine plinths, guarding and a closed meeting room. Booth space is billed by ReMA and freight handling by the general contractor, separate from our fixed proposal.

When should we start our ReMA 2027 booth?

We need design sign-off by early February 2027 to build in 30 to 45 days and ship crates to the advance warehouse about three weeks before move-in. Equipment exhibitors start sooner, because machine weights, power and direct delivery to the hall have to be booked with the contractor. We file each ReMA form as the exhibitor kit sets it.

Can we rent a booth for ReMA, and what does a rental include?

Yes. A rental covers the frame, your printed graphics, counters, a meeting table, lighting, flooring, shipping, install and dismantle. Trading, software and service companies at ReMA often rent outright, while equipment makers rent the structure and add a custom plinth or display sized for the machine.

Can we show a working machine at Music City Center?

Yes. The exhibit hall carries 350 lb per square foot and has three drive-in ramps and 32 docks, so full machines reach the floor. We take weights and footprints from your engineers, plan forklift placement, keep moving parts behind guarding during demos and design the zone so a crowd watches without stepping into the working area.

What does drayage cost at ReMA and who pays it?

Material handling is billed to you by the show contractor, by weight, for every crate it moves from the dock or advance warehouse to your booth. Machines and sample bales make it a real line at ReMA. We estimate it from your shipping weights, consolidate crates and list the figure on the proposal before you sign.

How high can our ReMA booth go at Music City Center?

The exhibit hall has a 32 ft 6 in rigging height, so a hanging sign over an equipment island has room to read across the floor. Rigging is ordered through the contractor, and we draw the sign, its weight and the hanging points into the booth plan so it goes up during move-in.

Can we reuse the ReMA booth at other shows?

Recycling and materials-handling suppliers often take the same kit to WasteExpo in Las Vegas, Interwire in Atlanta or AISTech, which is also in Nashville. We design walls and plinths that resize between a 10×20 and an island, and store everything between shows.

We already own a booth. Can you refresh and install it at ReMA?

We inspect your current exhibit, repair worn parts, reprint graphics with new machine and commodity photography, add a meeting room or plinth if needed and install it at Music City Center with our own project manager. After the Expo Hall closes we ship it home or hold it in storage.

Before you sign with anyone

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for ReMA Convention & Expo:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
