What makes Fastener Fair USA different, and how we build for it

Fastener Fair USA is the RX show built for one supply chain: the people who make, import, coat, stock and buy fasteners. In 2027 it moves to the Kentucky International Convention Center, within a day's drive of much of the U.S. distribution base, and widens the floor to springs and wire forms, retaining rings, threaded inserts and rivets. ALUMINUM USA runs alongside on the same badge, the Opening Night Networking Party closes day one, and the show's matchmaking pairs registered buyers with exhibitors before the doors open. With two short days and buyers using Lead Booster and the Exhibitor Dashboard to plan meetings, your booth has to work as a sample counter and a meeting room at once.

Distributors and master distributors

Fast access to ranges, grades, finishes and lead times, plus a seated table to talk line cards, pricing and stocking programs away from the aisle.

Purchasing and supply chain teams

Clear proof of capacity, certifications, country of origin and packaging options, with a person who can answer sourcing and tariff questions on the spot.

Design and product engineers

Parts they can handle, cutaways and assembly samples, and someone who can talk thread form, coating and torque without a follow-up call.

Popular booth sizes at Fastener Fair USA

Fastener Fair USA is a compact two-day floor where most exhibitors take inline space and a handful of manufacturers and master distributors build islands. We recommend a 10×20 with a full sample wall and a meeting table for most suppliers, or a 20×20 island when you bring equipment or several product lines.

KLEEMANN at a industrial technology exhibition

An interactive booth for a global elevator manufacturer: digital simulations, real product showcases and a floor plan that guided visitors from first step to last.

Different product, same problem: KLEEMANN needed engineers to understand precision hardware fast through real product showcases, which is how fastener buyers judge a supplier.

04 Designing for fastener, fixing and precision component brands at Fastener Fair USA

Four things we get right for Fastener Fair USA exhibitors

Woman engineer in a yellow hard hat working on a machine part1

Organize samples the way buyers search

Distributors scan by product family, then grade, thread and finish. We build sample walls and drawers in that order, with labels that stay readable when a part is picked up, so a buyer can find a metric flange bolt or a zinc-flake coated screw in seconds.

Yellow hard hat and red protective gloves resting on a construction site2

Build counters for real weight

Steel parts, sample cases and catalog stock are heavy. We spec counters, shelving and slatwall for the load you bring, add lockable storage for the evening between show days, and keep heavy inventory low so nothing tips when a visitor leans in.

3

Light metal so finishes read

Plain steel, zinc, black oxide and stainless look alike under flat overhead light. We use directional fixtures and neutral color temperature on the sample wall so buyers see the difference between coatings and platings from the aisle.

4

Plan for two days of meetings

With matchmaking filling calendars before the show opens, much of your floor time is booked. We give you a seated table or small enclosed room, a place for the laptop and line card, and a visible counter so walk-up buyers are not ignored during a meeting.

05 Kentucky International Convention Center · Louisville

Logistics for Fastener Fair USA 2027, handled

The Kentucky International Convention Center sits in downtown Louisville, steps from Fourth Street Live and a short walk from the Galt House Hotel. Kentucky is a right-to-work state and the KICC lets registered exhibitors handle their own setup within its safety policies, while the show's decorator sets drayage and labor terms in the exhibitor kit. Heavy sample cases and any running equipment move through material handling, which we plan at about $130 per hundredweight with a 200-pound minimum. We read the Fastener Fair USA exhibitor kit, file the booth forms, ship to the advance warehouse and install with our own project manager and vetted local labor, then tear down after the Thursday 3 PM close.

Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Kentucky International Convention Center exhibitor guide.

Hall guide

Fastener Fair USA and ALUMINUM USA share the Kentucky International Convention Center. These are the spaces this building uses after its 2018 renovation, and what they mean for a sample-heavy booth.

Class A exhibit space

200,125 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, grown from 146,000 square feet in the 2018 renovation that rebuilt the west end in glass.

Our advice: One contiguous floor keeps aisles short over a two-day show, so a strong sample wall facing the main aisle earns more than extra square footage.

Column-free ballroom

A 40,000 square foot ballroom with color-changing LED walls, used for galas and general sessions, with rigging points separate from the exhibit hall.

Our advice: Sponsorship signage or a reception here is a separate install, and we plan it with its own rigging and labor order.

52 meeting rooms and theatre

Meeting rooms reworked in the 2018 renovation plus a 175-seat conference theatre with fixed seating for keynotes and sessions.

Our advice: If your matchmaking calendar overflows the booth table, a nearby meeting room keeps distributor talks private without leaving the building.

Fastener Fair USA exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before Fastener Fair USA

How much does a booth at Fastener Fair USA 2027 cost?

A 10×10 rental starts at $3,500 and a 10×20 rental runs $7,500 to $15,000; a custom 20×20 island runs $50,000 to $120,000. Here the number moves with how much steel you put on the wall, load-rated counters and any running equipment. RX bills the booth space, and the decorator bills power and material handling.

When should we order our Fastener Fair USA booth?

We need design sign-off by early March 2027. That gives a 30–45 day build in Fishkill, NY, sample fixtures cut to your actual part sizes and a late April ship date to the advance warehouse. We file every decorator form from the exhibitor kit as soon as it opens.

Can we rent a booth for Fastener Fair USA, and what does a rental include?

Yes. A rental includes the frame, your printed graphics, lighting, counters, shipping and installation by our project manager. Fastener exhibitors often rent the structure and own a custom sample wall, because the wall carries the product story and travels to every show while the frame changes with the footprint.

Can we set up our own booth at the Kentucky International Convention Center?

Yes. Kentucky has been a right-to-work state since 2017, and the KICC lets registered exhibitors handle their own setup and teardown within its safety policies. The show decorator can add terms in the exhibitor kit, so we read them first and handle the parts you would rather not, such as heavy cases and lighting.

What are the Fastener Fair USA 2027 show hours, and when can we tear down?

The floor opens Wednesday, May 19 from 10 AM to 5 PM and Thursday, May 20 from 10 AM to 3 PM. Dismantle starts after the Thursday close, so we pack samples to your return plan that afternoon and have crates ready for the carrier before the decorator calls the floor clear.

What does drayage cost at Fastener Fair USA and who pays it?

Drayage, the move from the dock or advance warehouse to your booth, is billed to you by the show decorator by weight. Our planning estimate for the KICC is about $130 per hundredweight for 2026 and 2027, with a 200-pound minimum. Steel samples are dense, so we weigh each case and list the estimate on your proposal.

Can we reuse our Fastener Fair USA booth at other industrial shows?

We design modular frames and swap graphics so the same booth and sample wall work at Interwire, PMTS and ProMat. Between shows we store everything, check the fixtures, replace worn labels and ship to the next advance warehouse, so your sample wall pays for itself across the year.

Do you handle the decorator orders and material handling?

We order electrical, material handling and labor through the show decorator, prepare the drayage paperwork for sample cases and equipment, and keep you copied on every deadline. Each order appears on our fixed proposal, so the invoice after the show matches what you approved.

We are exhibiting from outside the US. Can you help with Fastener Fair USA?

Many fastener makers exhibit from overseas. We handle the US side: we build or rent the booth here, receive your samples at the advance warehouse once they clear customs through your broker, install, dismantle and store the booth for next year, so your team flies in and walks into a finished space.

Before you sign with anyone

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for Fastener Fair USA:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
