Two separate bills. D2P quotes its package for space, carpet, drape, table, chairs, sign and cleaning. Our display on top of it starts with a 10×20 rental at $7,500 to $15,000; a custom 10×20 kit you own runs $15,000 to $45,000. The glass parts case, lighting and reuse across D2P shows decide where you land.

D2P describes it as historically the largest design and contract manufacturing show in the United States. The 2026 Schaumburg show sold out early with more than 290 exhibiting companies, so space for 2027 goes to those who book first through D2P's booth sales team.

We rent a complete Schaumburg display: fabric backwall, lit parts case, counter and printed graphics, plus shipping, setup and tear-down on one fixed proposal. It works inside the drape and table D2P supplies, and after May 13 it comes back to our warehouse.

Illinois is not a right-to-work state; contractor labor and any self-install allowance follow D2P's show kit, which sits in its MyShowOnline exhibitor portal. When we build the booth, our project manager handles setup and works within D2P's rules, so your team arrives to a finished display.

D2P's package already moves up to 1,000 pounds from dock to booth, which covers most parts displays. For anything heavier handled by a contractor, Purple's venue guide plans about $120 per hundredweight in 2026, the lowest figure in its Chicago-area set, and we list it on the proposal.

North American contract manufacturers and job shops that produce custom parts or related processes: D2P names metal, plastics, rubber, electronics and finishing. Distributors and equipment vendors are not the audience here, and aisle selling is banned.

That is the plan we recommend for multi-show shops. The kit goes from the Texas show in Irving in April to Schaumburg in May and the Greater Detroit show in Novi in June, with reprinted process headlines for each region, and we store it between runs.

We do. We read D2P's exhibitor instructions, order any power or internet the package does not include, file Illinois flame certificates and book move-in with the show's contractor, then send you a copy of every confirmation.

On Wednesday, May 12, 2027 the doors open 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.; Thursday, May 13 runs 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Student and instructor groups are asked to come after 11 a.m., register their group size with D2P first and split into groups of five or fewer.

At the Schaumburg Convention Center, 1551 Thoreau Drive North in Schaumburg, in Chicago's northwest suburbs, reached from I-90 and Route 53. Purple's venue guide notes the 500-room Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel connects directly, and D2P puts O'Hare about 15 to 20 minutes away.

Attendance for 2027 is not confirmed yet, and D2P reports Schaumburg as a profile rather than a head count. In 2026 it showed 32.4% engineering, 22.9% corporate management and 16.9% purchasing, with 92% involved in deciding what to outsource and more than 290 companies exhibiting.

Registration is free for engineers and buyers who source or specify parts, through D2P's online form, and on-site parking is free for attendees and exhibitors. Salespeople can register to scout suppliers, though soliciting in the aisles is banned.
