What makes Automate different, and how we build for it
Automate is North America's largest robotics and automation event, produced by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3), and 2027 is its first Las Vegas edition, under the theme Automation Amplified at the Las Vegas Convention Center. More than 1,000 exhibitors fill the floor, and walking the show, seeing the daily keynote and visiting booths is free, so the aisles carry plant people as well as the paid Automate Conference crowd. Startup pitches, innovation awards and the show floor theater pull press and engineers toward new products, and the audience spans manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and energy. Your booth needs an aisle view of the motion and a quieter place to talk about the visitor's own part.
A demo they can watch for a full cycle, the finished part in hand, and a specialist who can answer tooling, envelope and utility questions on the spot.
A clear application statement at the aisle, a result they can read in ten seconds, and a table away from the noise where cost, lead time and integration scope can be discussed.
A legible system view showing where your hardware, vision or software starts and hands over, with samples and interface screens they can inspect closely.
Purple in Las Vegas
Local crew, national shop
We manage back-to-back installations with speed and calm. From CES to NAB, our Las Vegas hub ensures local labor, rapid troubleshooting and smart storage options, giving exhibitors total confidence on the busiest floors in the U.S.
Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA. Your booth ships from our production shop in Fishkill, NY or our Las Vegas hub, and our project manager is on the floor for install and dismantle.

Booth options for Automate 2027
Pick a footprint. We’ll price it as a rental, a custom build, or a hybrid.
Automate floors are built around working cells, and the big robot makers take 40×40 and larger islands with multiple demo stations. Most Purple clients at Automate choose between a 10×20 with one running demo and a 20×30 island with two cells, a result screen and a project table. Inline booths put the cell at the aisle edge.

One cobot or gripper demo on an engineered base, a monitor showing the result, and a compact counter for samples and a stool.

A working cell at the aisle with a camera feed to a large result screen, a sample ledge for tooling and end effectors, and a small table for a project talk.
See 10×20 rental booths →
An island with a fenced or open demo cell, a vision bench with sample and image side by side, meeting space and a hanging sign visible across the hall.
See 20×20 rental booths →
Two or more cells running different applications, a system wall for integration and software, storage for parts and replenishment, and enclosed meeting rooms.
See 20×30 rental booths →All-in 2026 ranges for design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle; booth space, drayage and show services are separate. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show. Send the show, your booth size and what the space needs to do. We return a fixed proposal, usually within two business days.

Designing for robotics, machine vision, motion control and automation software companies at Automate
Four things we get right for Automate exhibitors

Size the stage from the operating envelope
The machine outline leaves out the operator, the audience, the parts bin and service access. We take dimensions for every operating state, the utility spec and the weight, then build the base, floor and cable routes so no column or counter sits in the key viewing angle.

Bring the small result into view
Gripping, fastening and inspection happen at a scale the aisle cannot see. We mount a close-up camera and a readable display above the sample position, control glare on both product and screen, and place the finished part beside the image so a visitor connects the two.

Separate the demo from the conversation
One counter for the operator, replacement parts and visitors crowds fast. We build a separate application counter with labeled sample storage and a shared screen so a specialist can discuss a visitor's requirement while the next cycle runs without interruption.
Show one system, not logos
For integrator and software exhibits we lay out hardware, interface and partner branding as one application story, with clear handover points between what you supply and what a partner does. A resettable demo account and a prepared presentation mode keep every walkthrough consistent.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this

Logistics for Automate 2027, handled
The Las Vegas Convention Center is a union building. Your own full-time employees can set up with hand tools, but forklifts, pallet jacks and contract labor go through the show contractor and Teamsters Local 631, so we file as your Exhibitor Appointed Contractor with the certificate of insurance 30 days before move-in. Material handling is billed per hundredweight with a 200 lb minimum per shipment, and we consolidate your crates and demo equipment onto one bill of lading. We ship to the advance warehouse by default so the booth is on the floor on day one of install, and our Las Vegas shop handles overnight graphics reprints and repairs during the show.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Las Vegas Convention Center exhibitor guide.

Automate exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before Automate
How much does a 20×20 booth at Automate cost?
A 20×20 custom island for Automate runs between $50,000 and $120,000 all in for design, structure, graphics and installation, and a 20×20 rental island between $16,000 and $40,000. Engineered equipment bases, camera feeds and power routing move the number, so send us the equipment list and we return a fixed quote.
Can you install a live robot demo at the Las Vegas Convention Center?
Yes. We build the base and floor to your machine's weight and operating envelope, route power and data through the show contractor, and our Las Vegas crew installs the exhibit and clears the cell before your engineers arrive to commission the demo.
Can we rent a booth for Automate instead of buying one?
Yes. Rental structures with your graphics, custom demo furniture on a rental frame and a full hybrid are all available. Many first-time Automate exhibitors rent the architecture and own only the equipment base and the sample fixtures that travel with the machine.
When do we need to decide?
Design sign-off by late February gives a comfortable 30 to 45 day build and a mid-April ship to the advance warehouse. Later is possible; the trade-off is choice of finishes and higher freight cost, and the EAC paperwork is due 30 days before move-in.
Do you handle the show contractor orders and drayage?
We read the Automate exhibitor kit, order material handling, electrical and rigging through the show contractor, file the EAC form and certificate of insurance, ship on one bill of lading to avoid stacked minimums, and keep you copied on every deadline.
