MT Series EAST is the show formerly known as EASTEC, now the spring opener of SME's four-city Manufacturing Technology Series and co-produced with AMT.SME bills it as the largest Northeast manufacturing trade show, and the 2025 attendee list reads like the region's supply chain: Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky, GE Aerospace, General Dynamics Electric Boat, Medtronic. The exhibits fill several buildings on the Eastern States Exposition grounds, with networking receptions open to every badge and the new SME Mission Critical: Workforce 2030. Rules that shape your booth
For EAST 2027, SME's Silver, Gold and Platinum packages cover unloading, booth delivery and a single crane spot of each machine; moving it again is billed. We fix every machine position on the drawing before it reaches West Springfield.
EAST booths of 100 to 200 square feet come with SME's decorator package: back wall at 8 feet, side rails at 3 feet, a 6-foot skirted table with two chairs, a booth sign, carpet and a single 110V outlet. Anything more powerful we order separately for your demo.
Every 2027 MT Series tier gets an enhanced online listing, and booths of 400 square feet or more also get the company logo on the floor plan. At EAST, where visitors move between buildings, we size your booth with that map listing in mind.
SME's Events Code of Conduct, which covers EAST exhibitors, bans open alcohol outside designated areas and entering another exhibitor's space uninvited. We keep the booth dry and point guests to SME's EAST networking receptions.

SME sells MT Series EAST space in four tiers, and the Eastern States buildings favor compact footprints: a 10×20 lands in Bronze with SME's decorator package, while 20×20 islands in Silver get crane spotting included. Four things we get right for MT Series EAST exhibitors
1Show the measurement, not just the cut
In SME's 2025 EAST report, measurement, inspection and testing sat among the technologies attendees evaluated, beside machining centers and cutting tools. We place a probe, vision or CMM readout next to the running machine so the tolerance is on screen while the part is still warm.
2Plan for a fairground campus
The Eastern States Exposition is a campus of separate buildings, and SME lists show hours for all buildings. Visitors walk outside between them, so we give your booth a sign that reads from the building doorway and a header visible across the aisle.
3Talk to the small shop
SME counted 42 percent first-time visitors at EAST 2025, many from shops where the owner signs the purchase order. We design a counter where an owner can sit with a sales engineer and price a machine, away from the noise of the cut.
4Ride the 201-square-foot line

Logistics for MT Series EAST 2027, handled
MT Series EAST runs in several buildings on the Eastern States Exposition grounds at 1305 Memorial Avenue, the fairground better known for The Big E each September. Booths of 201 square feet and up get SME's handling package for 2027: trucks unloaded, freight carried to the space, each machine set once by crane and empties stored, so most machine exhibitors see no separate handling bill; Bronze booths pay the contractor's tariff. We confirm the building and door for your space when SME assigns it, ship from our Fishkill, NY shop in the Hudson Valley, and build on site under our project manager with hired local hands. Bradley International is about 40 minutes away.

Questions exhibitors ask us before MT Series EAST
How much does a booth at MT Series EAST 2027 cost?
For a tooling or software company the usual start is a 10×20: $8,400 of Bronze space at SME's $42 rate, plus $7,500 to $15,000 for a Purple rental. A 20×20 machine island adds $16,000 of Silver space and $50,000 to $120,000 custom. Running power, air and coolant handling move the number.
Is there a booking deadline for MT Series EAST 2027?
SME has published no 2027 cutoff; it tells exhibitors that early signers pick positions first and that corners and main-aisle spots go fast. We ask for design sign-off in early March 2027 so a 30 to 45 day build ships in late April.
Can we rent our MT Series EAST booth?
Rentals from us arrive as a complete kit: frame and fabric graphics, lighting, a parts showcase with a magnifier, lockable storage and a sales counter, delivered, installed and taken down on one fixed price. You keep the money for the machine freight, which is the larger line at this show.
Who sets up booths at the Eastern States Exposition?
SME has not published the 2027 contractor or labor rules, so those details are not confirmed yet. We work from the exhibitor kit once it opens: order whatever labor it requires, coordinate crane spotting through SME's package, and lead the build with our own project manager on site.
Does SME include material handling at MT Series EAST?
From 201 square feet up it does: the Silver, Gold and Platinum packages include unloading, delivery to your booth, one-time spotting of equipment with cranes and removal of empties, while re-spotting is billed. A Bronze booth of 100 to 200 square feet gets the decorator package but no included handling.
Which building will our EAST booth be in?
SME has not published the 2027 floor plan, so building assignments are not confirmed yet. The show spreads across several exposition buildings, and SME's hours page covers all of them. Once your space is assigned, we plan the truck door, the crane path and the sign visitors see from the doorway.
Can the EAST booth travel to the other MT Series shows?
That is how we design it. EAST opens the 2027 series in May; the same counters, frames and parts displays can follow to SOUTHEAST in Greenville in October, SOUTHWEST in Dallas and WEST in Long Beach in November, with each region's industries on new graphics, and it waits in our storage between stops.
Do you handle the contractor orders for MT Series EAST?
We do. Once SME releases the 2027 kit we file electrical, compressed air, labor and rigging orders, send machine weights for spotting and give you one priced list of everything ordered.
When is MT Series EAST 2027?
Tuesday, May 11 to Thursday, May 13, 2027 in West Springfield, Massachusetts, per SME. EAST is the first of the four 2027 MT Series shows, followed by SOUTHEAST, SOUTHWEST and WEST in the fall. The 2025 edition ran May 13–15; 2027 hours are not confirmed yet.

SME's 2025 post-event report counts 9,000 total attendance, 521 exhibiting companies, 375 new product displays, 49 speakers and 32,363 leads scanned. Sixty-eight percent of attendees influenced equipment purchases. The 2027 attendance figure is not confirmed yet.
Who organizes MT Series EAST, and is it the same as EASTEC?
SME produces it with AMT as co-producer. It is the event formerly called EASTEC, now part of SME's Manufacturing Technology Series, and SME says it has served regional manufacturers for more than 35 years. Booths are booked through an SME account representative.
