MD&M Midwest 2027 booths for five sectors, after the 2026 Minneapolis show

We build MD&M Midwest booths so a device engineer and a packaging buyer both find their answer at your counter, with the part, the process and the spec sheet in reach. For the 2026 show Freeman is the official contractor, and we place those orders and run the install ourselves.

What makes MD&M Midwest different, and how we build for it

MD&M Midwest is five shows on one floor.Informa joined MD&M, ATX, Design & Manufacturing, MinnPack and Plastec in 2021 as Advanced Manufacturing Minneapolis, and the show returned as MD&M Midwest in 2025, so a supplier of molded components can meet a cardiac device engineer and a packaging line buyer in the same hour. Informa sells it on Minnesota's place in medtech, ranking the state second in electromedical apparatus manufacturing. On the 2026 floor the MedTech Theater, Engineering Theater and Tech Theater run free sessions, the New Product Showcase puts exhibitor launches in front of buyers, and the Midwest Manufacturing Leadership Summit coaches engineering managers, QA supervisors and R&D engineers moving into leadership.

Medical device design and manufacturing engineers

The component or material in hand, tolerances, validation and ISO 13485 status, and a person at the counter who can talk through a drawing for a cardiac, neuro or orthopedic program.

Automation, plastics and packaging buyers

A running cell, a molded sample or a sealed pouch they can inspect, cycle times and changeover data, and lead times for a line going in within the next two years; Informa says 64% of attendees have projects planned within 24 months.

Plant leaders and executives

Capacity, second-source and reshoring answers in a short seated talk. Informa's 2026 figures say 80% of attendees influence or make purchasing decisions, so the right person to decide often walks up.

Rules that shape your booth

Booth Review Form in the Portal

Every MD&M Midwest exhibitor completes the Booth Review Form in the Exhibitor Portal, confirming the booth meets the show's display and safety rules. We submit it with drawings, the demo equipment list and the power plan for each running cell.

Organizer rule

Only Informa's listed vendors

Informa's 2026 vendor list names Freeman, Kelber Catering, Smart City, onPeak and Convention Data Services, and it cautions exhibitors about callers who claim to represent the show without being on that list. We place every order through those listed vendors only.

Organizer rule

Ten badges per 10×10

MD&M Midwest issues up to ten exhibitor badges per 10×10 booth, collected on arrival, and charges for extras. We plan the counter and demo bay around the number of engineers and salespeople you send, so no one works the aisle.

Organizer rule

No one under 18 in the halls

No one under 18 may enter the MD&M Midwest expo halls, for safety, insurance and security reasons, and there is no onsite childcare. We schedule install, staffing and any demo operators with adults only.

Organizer rule

Full payment six months out

Informa's contract terms call for 30% of the booth price 12 to 9 months before the show, 60% by 9 to 6 months and the full balance six months before. We match our build schedule to the date your space is paid and confirmed.

Popular booth sizes at MD&M Midwest

Informa does not publish MD&M Midwest booth sizes or rates; you pick a size and three floor locations with its sales team. For a component or contract manufacturing supplier we recommend a 10×20 with a sample counter and a demo bay, and a 20×20 island once you bring a running automation cell.

Case study · KLEEMANN

KLEEMANN at a industrial technology exhibition

An interactive booth for a global elevator manufacturer: digital simulations, real product showcases and a floor plan that guided visitors from first step to last.

KLEEMANN builds elevators, not device parts, but the brief matched MD&M Midwest: real machinery on show and a floor plan that walks an engineer from first look to technical talk.

Label the booth by sector

MD&M Midwest mixes Medical, Automation, Design & Manufacturing, Plastics and Packaging buyers in the same aisles. We put the sectors you serve on the header in plain words, so a MinnPack buyer and an MD&M engineer each see in one glance that your molding or assembly line covers their part.

2

Run the cell, guard the aisle

The Engineering Theater programme covers robotics, industrial automation and IoT, and those visitors want to see motion. We mount your robot or vision cell on a base with clear guarding, route power under the floor and leave a viewing line at the aisle so a crowd watching cycles does not block your counter.

3

Ready the launch for the Showcase

MD&M Midwest's New Product Showcase takes up to three products per exhibitor, free, released within 12 months or on sale within 24 months after the show, with no prototypes. We build a lit plinth for the entered product and print its name large, because Showcase readers come looking for it by booth number.

4

Seat the leadership visitor

The 2026 Midwest Manufacturing Leadership Summit targets engineering managers, operations leads and QA supervisors, and Informa counts 80% of attendees as purchase influencers. We set a two-seat table behind the demo with a screen for capability decks and a shelf for NDAs, so a plant leader gets twenty quiet minutes rather than a chat in the aisle.

Logistics for MD&M Midwest 2027, handled

Informa's 2026 vendor list puts Freeman in charge of booth furnishings, labor, rigging, freight, signage, cleaning and material handling, with Kelber Catering for food, Smart City for internet and onPeak for hotels, and it urges caution with anyone outside that list who claims to represent the show. The Booth Review Form sits in the Exhibitor Portal. The 2027 city and venue are not confirmed yet; the 2026 show runs at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Second Avenue South. We crate from Fishkill, ship to Freeman's advance warehouse, log every crate weight for the material-handling line and our project manager leads vetted local labor through install and teardown.

Hall guide

The 2027 city, venue and floor plan are not confirmed yet. On the 2026 floor plan Informa places three free education stages inside the exhibit hall, each one a booth number that draws its own audience.

MedTech Theater (Booth 2755, 2026)

Sessions on FDA regulation updates, product development, emerging medical technologies and the global device market, free with the Expo Pass.

Our advice: If your space lands near it, engineers leave each session in a wave; we keep the counter open to the aisle and staff it heaviest at session breaks.

Engineering Theater (Booth 1622, 2026)

Demonstrations, case studies and panels on robotics, industrial automation, IoT, electronics, 3D printing and packaging.

Our advice: Automation suppliers placed near this stage get the visitors who came to see motion, so we put the running cell on the aisle side facing it.

Tech Theater (Booth 2747, 2026)

A classroom-format stage where exhibitors present their newest technologies, with time for audience questions after each talk.

Our advice: When you present here, we print the talk title and your booth number on a counter card so the audience can find the product afterwards.

MD&M Midwest exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before MD&M Midwest

How much does a booth at MD&M Midwest 2027 cost?

For a parts or contract manufacturing supplier here the usual starting point is a 10×20: $7,500 to $15,000 as a rental with us, $15,000 to $45,000 custom. A 20×20 island with a running cell is $50,000 to $120,000 custom. Robot guarding, demo power and machine freight move the number. Informa prices space privately and Freeman bills its services separately.

What is the deadline to book a booth for MD&M Midwest 2027?

The 2027 dates are not confirmed yet, so no 2027 form deadline is published. Informa's contract terms tie payment to the show date: 30% due 12 to 9 months out, 60% by 9 to 6 months, and the full balance 6 months before. We need design sign-off about 10 weeks before move-in.

Can we rent a booth for MD&M Midwest, and what does a rental include?

A rental from us is a 10×20 or larger kit: printed back wall, a lit sample counter with lockable storage, a demo bay with power routed under the floor, LED lighting and a meeting table, with freight, setup and dismantle on one fixed proposal. When the show closes the kit comes back to our storage, so nothing waits in your warehouse.

Can we set up our own booth at MD&M Midwest?

For the 2026 show Freeman is the official contractor for labor, material handling and rigging, and Informa urges caution with any company that is not on its vendor list. We work inside those rules: we file the Booth Review Form in the Exhibitor Portal, book the Freeman labor your booth needs and lead the crew ourselves.

Can prototypes go in the MD&M Midwest New Product Showcase?

No. Entries must be released within the last 12 months or on sale within 24 months after the event, made or exclusively distributed by an exhibitor, and prototypes are excluded. Entry is free, up to three products, through the Exhibitor Portal, with an answer by email within 72 hours. We show your prototypes at the booth instead.

What does material handling cost at MD&M Midwest, and who pays it?

Freeman bills material handling, the move from dock or advance warehouse to your booth, directly to each exhibitor at the rate in the show's kit, and Informa has not published a 2027 rate. Demo machines and fixtures make up most of the weight, so we weigh every crate, consolidate where we can and show the estimate as its own proposal line.

Can we reuse our MD&M Midwest booth at other shows?

We design the counter, demo base and wall frame to travel, so the same kit can go to MD&M West in Anaheim in February, MD&M East in New York or OMTEC near Chicago with new sector graphics for each audience. In the gaps we hold it in storage, swap the sample parts and send it on to whichever advance warehouse comes next.

Which sector should our MD&M Midwest booth sit in?

Informa runs the floor as five sectors, Medical, Automation, Design & Manufacturing, Plastics and Packaging, and you choose three preferred locations on the floor plan when you book. Pick the sector your main buyer walks; we then print the other sectors you serve on your header so cross-over visitors still stop.

Do you handle Freeman orders for MD&M Midwest?

We do. We order furnishings, rigging, signage and material handling from Freeman, internet from Smart City and any catering from Kelber Catering, the official 2026 vendors, and place electrical through the Exhibitor Portal forms. You get one list of what was ordered, with every service line priced on our proposal.

When is MD&M Midwest 2027?

MD&M Midwest 2027 dates are not confirmed yet; the latest edition Informa has published is October 28–29, 2026. The 2024 and 2025 editions also ran in October in Minneapolis, on October 16–17, 2024 and October 21–22, 2025. We plan your build backward from the dates once Informa posts them.

Where is MD&M Midwest 2027 held?

The 2027 city and venue are not confirmed yet. The 2026 show is at the Minneapolis Convention Center, 1301 Second Avenue South, Minneapolis, the same building as the 2025 edition and the 2022 and 2023 Advanced Manufacturing Minneapolis shows. For 2026, onPeak is the only hotel provider the show endorses.

How many people attend MD&M Midwest?

Informa counted 575+ exhibitors at the October 2025 show. Under the Advanced Manufacturing Minneapolis name the 2023 edition drew over 5,200 attendees and more than 620 exhibitors, and the November 2022 show more than 5,000 verified registrants and 595 exhibitors. Attendance for 2027 is not confirmed yet.

Is MD&M Midwest open to the public?

It is a trade event for manufacturing professionals, with the Expo Pass free on early registration in 2026, $49 later and $199 onsite. No one under 18 may enter the expo halls, and there is no childcare. Attendees register again every year, since registrations do not carry over.

Who organizes MD&M Midwest, and how do we get a booth?

Informa Markets Engineering, which also runs MD&M West, MD&M East and the MEDevice shows. You choose a booth size and three floor locations, then contract with its sales team. Priority points decide placement: one per year exhibited plus one per $3,500 spent at that year's event. We design to the space you get.

Before you sign with anyone

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for MD&M Midwest:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
