MEDevice Boston 2027: a 10×20 booth that puts the part in the engineer's hand

We build MEDevice Boston booths around a lit sample counter, so a New England design engineer can turn your molded, machined or coated part over and ask about tolerances on the spot. In Hall C on the Exhibit Level we file your Freeman orders and run the install with our own project manager.

What makes MEDevice Boston different, and how we build for it

MEDevice Boston, renamed from BIOMEDevice Boston, is a two-day supplier show sold as packages rather than open floor space: in 2026 every package was a 10×10 or 10×20 in Hall C, so no island outshouts the inline next to it. The upper packages add appointments through the Hosted Buyer Program, which Informa's 2026 prospectus tied to the top 40 New England OEMs, and the Premium tier adds a 45-minute slot in the Innovation Spotlight Theater. Exhibitors can enter new products in the free Innovation Showcase, voted on by attendees, while the Franklin Visionary Awards Luncheon and the NEMIC International Pitch Reception bring the region's founders and executives onto the program.

Design and R&D engineers on active projects

The part itself in hand, a material or process data sheet, tolerances and validation data, and an engineer of yours who can talk through a drawing without calling the office.

Purchasing, supply chain and operations leads

Lead times, minimum order quantities, ISO 13485 status, capacity and a second-source story, plus a name to call after the show; Informa's 2026 prospectus says 75% of buyers hold purchasing power.

Startup founders and program managers

A supplier willing to take a low-volume first build. Informa's 2026 prospectus counted 51 pre-seed and 52 seed-stage startups in the audience, so a clear prototype-to-production path matters.

Your team in Boston

Two shops, one project manager, every hall

We build in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, and our Las Vegas hub, ship to the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC), and install with our own project manager on the floor and vetted local labor. Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA.

Rules that shape your booth

Booth Review Form before opening

Every exhibitor fills out MEDevice Boston's Booth Review Form before the show so management can check the booth against its display and safety rules. We file it with your drawings and keep every element inside the package footprint you bought.

Organizer rule

No prototypes in the Innovation Showcase

Showcase entries must have reached the market in the past 12 months, with no prototypes and no samples, brochures or giveaways in the gallery; one 8.5×11 spec sheet is allowed. We keep prototypes and samples at your booth and print the matching spec sheet.

Organizer rule

Non-exhibiting suppliers pay $1,500 per badge

Component and contract manufacturing suppliers who attend without a booth are capped at two badges at $1,500 each and may not solicit buyers or hand out literature. Your booth is the sanctioned place to sell, so we give it a counter staff can work all day.

Organizer rule

Nobody under 18 on the floor

For safety, insurance and security reasons, no one under 18 may enter the MEDevice Boston expo hall or conference rooms, and only service animals are allowed. We plan the install and staffing schedule with adult crew and staff only.

Organizer rule

Ten badges per 100 square feet

MEDevice Boston issues ten exhibitor staff badges for every 100 square feet of booth, so a 10×20 carries twenty. We size the counter and meeting table for the engineers and sales staff you bring, not just the two package chairs.

Popular booth sizes at MEDevice Boston

MEDevice Boston sells booths as Basic, Professional and Premium packages, and in 2026 all three came as a 10×10 or a 10×20. We recommend the 10×20: it holds a lit sample counter, a demo or inspection station and a seated table for the Hosted Buyer appointments that the Professional and Premium packages include.

04 Designing for medical device component, materials, contract manufacturing and engineering services suppliers at MEDevice Boston

Four things we get right for MEDevice Boston exhibitors

Close view of a healthcare worker’s hands holding a stethoscope1

Replace the draped table with a counter

Every 2026 package came with one draped 6-foot table, two chairs and carpet. We swap the table for a lit, lockable sample counter at standing height, with a magnifier and a tray of parts engineers may pick up, and keep the package chairs for the meeting table at the back of the 10×20.

2

Two stations in twenty feet

Attendees list R&D and design services, 3D printing, assembly and automation, materials and adhesives, and components as their top interests. We give a 10×20 one station for the finished part and one for the process behind it: a benchtop printer, a dispensing head, a vision check or a looped machining video.

3

A table for Hosted Buyer meetings

Professional and Premium packages include appointment access with Hosted Buyers, which the 2026 prospectus tied to the top 40 New England OEMs. We set a two-seat table out of the aisle with a screen for drawings and a shelf for NDAs and quote forms, so a booked buyer meeting is not run standing up.

4

Build to the Sustainable Booth criteria

MEDevice Boston's free Sustainable Booth Contest judges LED-only lighting, Forest Stewardship Council wood, rented booth property, bare or reusable flooring and removing every element after the show; the 2026 prize included a $250 Freeman service credit for 2027. We spec your booth to those points and file the entry with you.

Logistics for MEDevice Boston 2027, handled

Freeman is MEDevice Boston's official contractor for material handling, freight, labor, rigging, furnishings, signage and electrical, and Massachusetts has no right-to-work law, so booth assembly beyond small hand-built displays falls to Carpenters Local 327 working through Freeman. The show fills Hall C on the Exhibit Level of the Menino center, with the 2026 conference one escalator ride up on Meeting Level 1. We ship crates to Freeman's advance warehouse, weigh and consolidate them since Boston drayage runs high, place your Freeman and electrical orders, and put our project manager on the Hall C floor alongside vetted Boston labor for install and teardown. onPeak handles hotels, and the Westin Boston Seaport District connects to the building by skybridge.

Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Boston Convention & Exhibition Center exhibitor guide.

Hall guide

MEDevice Boston fills one hall: the organizer's 2027 floor plan names Exhibit Level Hall C of the Menino center, the same hall the 2026 edition used. These are the spaces that shaped an exhibitor's two days in 2026.

Exhibit Level Hall C

The show floor in 2026 and on the 2027 floor plan; in 2026 registration and badge pickup sat in the lobby inside Hall C, so every attendee started the day there.

Our advice: The first aisles off the lobby see every badge-holder, so we keep your sample counter low and open to the aisle and the brand high on the back wall.

Innovation Showcase Gallery

In 2026 the gallery displayed entered products with a sign from show management and a voting box for attendees to pick their favorite.

Our advice: Showcase voters walk to the exhibitor's booth next, so we print the showcase product large on your back wall and keep the real one at the counter.

Meeting Level 1

The 2026 conference and hands-on workshops ran upstairs on Meeting Level 1, reached by escalator from the Hall C lobby.

Our advice: Session breaks send engineers back down to the floor in waves, so we staff the counter heaviest around those breaks and keep demos ready to restart.

What Purple handles

  • Booth Review Form and Exhibitor Portal tasks
  • Freeman, electrical and rigging orders for Hall C
  • Lit sample counters, magnifiers and demo stations
  • Freight to Freeman's advance warehouse and back
  • Install and dismantle run by our own project manager

MEDevice Boston exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before MEDevice Boston

How much does a booth at MEDevice Boston 2027 cost?

A 10×20 rental runs $7,500 to $15,000 with us and a custom 10×20 $15,000 to $45,000; that is the size we recommend here. The price moves with your demo hardware, counter lighting and whether we build a lockable sample case. Informa sells the package itself, priced by your account manager, and Freeman bills its own services separately.

What booth sizes does MEDevice Boston sell?

In 2026 all three packages, Basic, Professional and Premium, came as a 10×10 or a 10×20, each with a draped 6-foot table, two chairs, carpet, a wastebasket and a booth sign. Professional adds lead retrieval and Hosted Buyer appointments; Premium adds a 45-minute speaking slot and the Hosted Buyer Reception. Staff badges come at ten per 100 square feet of footprint.

What is the deadline to order a booth for MEDevice Boston 2027?

Informa splits booth payment into three installments: the first within 30 days of applying, then nine months and six months before the show, with exact dates in your contract. Space is chosen by priority points, so earlier bookings get better spots. For our build we need design sign-off in early March 2027 to finish production before the freight ships.

Can we rent a booth for MEDevice Boston, and what does a rental include?

Yes. A MEDevice Boston rental is a 10×20 kit with a back wall printed with your graphics, a lit sample counter that replaces the package table, LED lighting, a meeting table and storage, with shipping, setup and teardown priced on a single fixed proposal. Rented booth property also scores in the show's Sustainable Booth Contest, and afterwards the kit returns to us.

Can we set up our own booth at the BCEC?

Only small displays you can carry and assemble by hand. Without a right-to-work law in Massachusetts, anything larger goes up with Carpenters Local 327 through Freeman, the official MEDevice Boston contractor, or through an exhibitor-appointed contractor like us. We file the EAC paperwork and insurance certificate and run the install ourselves.

How do we enter the MEDevice Boston Innovation Showcase?

Entry is free through the Exhibitor Portal for contracted exhibitors, up to three products each. Products must have reached the market within the past 12 months; prototypes and new company launches are excluded. In the gallery Informa supplies the sign, you may add an 8.5×11 spec sheet, and no samples, brochures or giveaways are allowed, so we keep those at your booth.

What does drayage cost at the BCEC, and who pays it?

Freeman bills material handling to each exhibitor at the rate in the MEDevice Boston kit. For planning we use the figure in Purple's BCEC venue guide: $323.95 per cwt, a 2026 advance-warehouse rate published for another show in this building, with a 200-pound minimum. Demo machines add weight fast, so we log each crate and show drayage as its own proposal line.

Which hall is MEDevice Boston 2027 in?

The organizer's 2027 floor plan places the show in Exhibit Level Hall C, the same hall used in 2026. In 2026 registration and badge pickup sat in the lobby inside Hall C, and the conference and workshops ran on Meeting Level 1, reached by escalator from that lobby. We plan freight and the install around that single hall.

Can we reuse our MEDevice Boston booth at other shows?

We design the 10×20 kit so its counter and back wall travel to MD&M East in New York, MD&M West in Anaheim or OMTEC near Chicago, with new graphics for each audience. Between shows we store it, refresh the panels and reload the sample trays, then ship it to the next advance warehouse.

When is MEDevice Boston 2027?

MEDevice Boston 2027 runs Tuesday, May 11 and Wednesday, May 12, 2027, in Boston's Seaport District. That moves the show to spring: the 2026 edition ran August 26–27. Expo hall hours for 2027 are not confirmed yet. With MD&M East in New York the following week, suppliers can plan both shows on one shipping run.

Where is MEDevice Boston 2027 held?

At the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center, still widely called the BCEC, at 415 Summer Street in Boston's Seaport District, in Exhibit Level Hall C. The venue puts Logan Airport an eight-minute taxi ride away, with a free Silver Line ride from the airport to the World Trade Center stop opposite the building.

How many people attend MEDevice Boston?

Informa's 2026 prospectus counts 1,500+ attendees, 200+ exhibitors and 30+ speakers, with 74% of attendees from New England's medtech corridor and 75% of buyers holding purchasing power. Among 2025 attendees, 87% said they plan to attend again and 81% would recommend the show to a colleague.

Is MEDevice Boston open to the public?

No. It is a trade event for the medical device industry, and no one under 18 may enter the expo hall or conference rooms. Companies that make or supply medical device components but do not exhibit are classed as Non-Exhibiting Manufacturers, limited to two badges at $1,500 each and barred from soliciting buyers or exhibitors.

How do I get a booth at MEDevice Boston?

Informa Markets sells the space: you review the floor plan, pick a package size and your top three locations, then contract with an account manager. Priority points decide placement, one point per $3,500 spent on space and sponsorship plus one for exhibiting. Once you have a location, we design the booth to fit it.

Before you sign with anyone

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for MEDevice Boston:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
