Built for the beverage break: CNS 2027 booths for neurosurgeons in Phoenix
We design CNS booths so a neurosurgeon can handle the instrument, watch the navigation screen and get the clearance status in the minutes between General Scientific Sessions. In Phoenix, a right-to-work city, your own staff can assemble alongside our project manager while we file every service kit order and ship crated to the advance warehouse.

What makes CNS Annual Meeting different, and how we build for it
The CNS exhibit hall runs on the meeting's clock. In 2026 the Congress of Neurological Surgeons opened the hall only on the last three meeting days and scheduled Beverage Breaks inside it, with Live Surgery Presentations streamed from operating rooms during each break. The Crossroads of Innovation sends surgeons along subspecialty tracks of in-booth demonstrations, and the CNS Experience Lounge pulls traffic with its digital poster gallery and CNS Cafe. Space goes out by priority points, which CNS takes back for rule breaches and early teardown. A CNS booth has to explain one device fully in about ten minutes, then let the surgeon walk back to the General Scientific Session.
The implant, retractor or catheter in hand, the technique shown on a model or screen, and a clear FDA clearance status beside anything not yet sold in the U.S.
Hands-on time with systems they will choose later in practice, from navigation and robotics to drills and neuromonitoring, plus a rep patient enough to start from the basics.
A seat for a capital-equipment or service conversation, workflow and training detail for nurses and neuromonitoring staff, and time that fits a packed meeting day.

Rules that shape your booth
Any device lacking FDA approval for the displayed use, or not on the U.S. market, needs a visible sign near the device and on graphics depicting it, with set wording for pending 510(k)/PMA and investigational devices (2026 rules). We print the exact wording into plinth holders and panels.
X-ray equipment may be exhibited but not operated, a laser runs only inside a safety shield, and no procedure may be performed on live tissue on the exhibit floor (2026 rules). We stage imaging on recorded scans and build shielded laser enclosures.
Inline booths stop at 8 feet, or 12 feet at the hall perimeter, and construction above the 3-foot side rail may cover only half the booth depth from the back wall (2026 rules). We draw tall elements to the rear and keep counters low up front.
Dismantling before the hall closes on the final day forfeits that year's priority points, and further violations strip half, then all accrued points, then exhibit privileges for a year (2026 rules). Our crew starts teardown only at the official close.
Samples and souvenirs need CNS approval, with a sample mailed to the Schaumburg office by early September, and raffles need approval plus posted rules including "No purchase necessary to enter" (2026 rules). We send the packet and print the rules board.
Programs worth planning for
Subspecialty tracks that guide surgeons along a path of in-booth demonstrations in the exhibit hall during morning and afternoon breaks. In 2026 an exhibitor joined a track as a $3,750 sponsorship.
Surgeons from leading institutions operate live by telemedicine while attendees in the exhibit hall watch and question them during each Beverage Break. In 2026 the sponsorship was listed at $75,000.
Any industry event built for meeting attendees, with or without CME, falls under the CNS Satellite Symposia guidelines. In 2026 fees ran from $7,500 to $30,000 depending on the invited and expected medical attendee count.
Private suites outside the exhibit hall for client and prospect meetings, sold only to exhibitors. In 2026 they cost $8,500 to $17,000 by size, non-cancellable, with branded exterior panels at $2,500 each.

02 Booths & pricing for CNS Annual Meeting 2027
Popular booth sizes at CNS Annual Meeting
CNS prices space per square foot in 10×10 units: inline, corner and island booths, with islands from 20×20; its move-in schedule gives 1,600-square-foot exhibits their own early day, so large islands are part of the floor. We recommend a 10×20 inline for one product family, and a 20×20 island once navigation or robotics carts join the demo.

One instrument counter with a close-view camera, a back wall under the CNS 8-foot inline limit and a lockable cabinet for demo sets.

Pixee Medical at a medical technology congress
A focused, demo-first booth for augmented-reality surgical guidance, built so every visitor could try the technology while traffic kept moving.
Pixee Medical's booth let every visitor try AR surgical guidance without stalling the aisle; CNS surgeons arrive in hour-long Beverage Breaks and need that same quick hands-on turn.

04 Designing for spine, cranial, neurovascular, navigation and neuromonitoring device makers at CNS Annual Meeting
Four things we get right for CNS Annual Meeting exhibitors
1Status signs on device and graphic
CNS rules put the FDA clearance sign easily visible near the device itself and on any graphic that pictures it, with fixed wording for pending 510(k) or PMA products and investigational devices (2026 rules). We cut sign holders into each plinth and print the same line onto the matching panel.
Size the demo to a beverage break
In 2026 the Beverage Breaks ran an hour in the exhibit hall, with Live Surgery Presentations inside them and Crossroads of Innovation tracks routing surgeons booth to booth. We design a station that runs one technique in about ten minutes and resets fast, with a standing zone inside your space for the next group.
Show the C-arm, do not fire it
The CNS prospectus lets X-ray equipment be exhibited but not operated, and lasers run only inside a safety shield. We build the imaging story on a large screen fed by recorded clinical images, park the equipment as a static piece, and enclose any laser demonstration in a shielded case.
Plan the private talk
Booth personnel meetings at CNS stay inside your booth during hall access hours, and in 2026 private meetings beyond that meant a CNS Meeting Suite in the hall foyer from $8,500. We put a closable two-seat table in islands of 20×20 and up, and brand suites with panels when you book one.

Logistics for CNS Annual Meeting 2027, handled
The CNS runs its exhibits through Corcoran Expositions, and in 2026 Freeman was the contractor on the floor: move-in ran over three days by sponsor level and booth size, and Freeman crews left at 4:30 pm each day. Arizona's right-to-work law lets your full-time staff hand-carry and assemble beside our project manager and vetted local labor. In Purple's experience at the Phoenix Convention Center, the city's main hall, equipment-assisted handling runs through the official contractor or Stagehand Local #36. We ship crated to the advance warehouse, file the service kit orders, and staff the install so nothing is left for your team when the hall opens.
Hall guide
CNS builds its exhibit hall around a few fixed features that move traffic between sessions. Here is how they worked in 2026 and what they mean for where your booth earns attention in Phoenix.
The lounge inside the exhibit hall holds the digital poster gallery, the CNS Cafe handing out lattes and cappuccinos, the bookstore and the Live Surgery Presentations staged during each Beverage Break.
Our advice: Booths on the aisles leading to the lounge catch surgeons on their way to the live surgery, so we face the demo station toward that flow once your number is set.
Under the 2026 rules, inline booths may reach 12 feet on the hall perimeter against 8 feet elsewhere, and anything above the 3-foot rail stays in the back half of the booth.
Our advice: If you want height without island pricing, request a perimeter inline; we turn the extra 4 feet into a lit header naming your product family.
In 2026 CNS sold non-cancellable Meeting Suites in the foyer outside the exhibit hall at $8,500, $12,500 or $17,000 by size, with furniture and power ordered separately.
Our advice: A suite frees the booth for demos; we order its furniture and print the $2,500 exterior graphic panels so it reads as part of your brand.

CNS Annual Meeting exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before CNS Annual Meeting
How much does a booth at the CNS Annual Meeting 2027 cost?
A 10×20 inline is where most device makers start: our rentals run $7,500 to $15,000, and CNS charged $42 to $45 a square foot for inline space in 2026, so $8,400 to $9,000 for the floor. A custom 20×20 island runs $50,000 to $120,000 to build. Navigation carts, close-view cameras and demo freight move the total.
When do we need to commit to a CNS 2027 booth?
Earlier than the October date suggests. For 2026, CNS opened applications with a $100-per-10×10 early-bird saving for a 50% deposit by January 31, kept 75% of fees on cancellations from February, and all of them from June 1. Space goes out by priority points. We need design sign-off by mid-August 2027.
Can we rent a booth for CNS, and what does a rental include?
Yes. Our rental covers the frame, printed fabric walls, lighting, an instrument counter with a lockable cabinet, sign holders for clearance status, freight, install and dismantle on one fixed proposal. A CNS inline comes with bare pipe and drape, eight feet at the back and rails at three, plus a name sign, so the rental swaps that drape for a branded wall.
Can our own staff set up the booth in Phoenix?
Largely, yes. Arizona has a right-to-work law, and full-time employees of yours may carry in and build, while forklift and equipment-assisted handling go through the official contractor. In 2026 Freeman crews left at 4:30 pm, and staff who stayed later could not re-enter once out. We run the build so your team arrives to a finished booth.
Can we show an investigational or 510(k)-pending device at CNS?
You can, with the right sign. Under the 2026 rules a pending 510(k) or PMA device carries a notice that it is not cleared by the FDA for sale in the United States, and a device in development carries the investigational-use caution. The sign sits near the device and on graphics showing it. We print both.
Can we run X-ray, lasers or tissue demos in a CNS booth?
Not as live procedures. The 2026 prospectus lets X-ray equipment be displayed but never operated, allows a laser only inside a safety shield, and bars procedures on live tissue on the exhibit floor. We plan imaging demos around recorded scans on a large screen and build a shielded enclosure for any laser.
What does drayage cost in Phoenix, and who pays it?
The exhibitor pays it, at the rate in the contractor's service kit, which CNS has not issued for 2027. As a planning figure, Purple's venue guide uses about $140 a hundredweight with a 200-pound minimum from our experience at the Phoenix Convention Center, the city's main hall. Instrument trays and carts add weight, so we consolidate crates and show drayage as its own line.
Can we reuse our CNS booth at AANS or NASS?
That is how we build it. The same walls, counters and sign holders reconfigure for the AANS Annual Scientific Meeting in the spring and the NASS Annual Meeting, with graphics swapped per audience. In the months between, it waits in our storage and travels crated to the next advance warehouse on your calendar.
Do you handle Freeman orders and the CNS service kit?
We do. In 2026 CNS released its Exhibitor Service Kit in July to companies paid in full, with Freeman handling furniture, electrical and Meeting Suite orders. We place every order from the 2027 kit, send giveaway samples and raffle rules to CNS for approval by its September dates, and book your move-in slot.
When is the CNS Annual Meeting 2027?
The 2027 CNS Annual Meeting runs October 23–27, 2027 in Phoenix, Arizona, per the Congress of Neurological Surgeons' future meetings list. Exhibit hall days for Phoenix are not confirmed yet. At the 2026 meeting in Washington, D.C. (October 31 to November 4) the hall is open Monday to Wednesday, November 2 to 4.
Where is the CNS Annual Meeting 2027 held?
In Phoenix, Arizona. Fly-in teams land at Phoenix Sky Harbor International, where the free PHX Sky Train links the terminals with Valley Metro Rail at 44th and Washington streets for the ride downtown. CNS books hotels through MCI, its official registration and housing partner.
How many people attend the CNS Annual Meeting?
The 2024 meeting in Houston drew 3,398 medical registrants and more than 5,300 registrants in total, which CNS called a record. The 2025 Los Angeles meeting set a new record for registrations with more than 5,000 abstracts submitted, and the 2026 prospectus cites over 3,700 attendees from 77 countries.
Who organizes the CNS Annual Meeting?
The Congress of Neurological Surgeons, a neurosurgical education society headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois, whose membership passed 12,000 neurosurgeons worldwide in 2025. Corcoran Expositions manages the exhibits for CNS, and MCI runs registration and housing. In 2026 CNS was also the only CME provider for the meeting.
How do I get a booth at CNS?
Apply through the CNS online exhibit space application with a 50% deposit; in 2026 applications without a deposit were not processed, and payments over $20,000 went by check. CNS decides each applicant's eligibility and accepts equipment, supplies and services presented for use by neurosurgeons. Returning companies place in priority points order.
Before you sign with anyone
