Forty percent see-through: TCT 2027 booths in San Francisco for the cath lab

We build TCT booths where an interventional cardiologist can handle the catheter, watch the imaging and leave for the next live case inside three minutes. San Francisco is a union city for booth installation, so our project manager plans freight, labor and CRF's see-through review from the first drawing.

What makes TCT different, and how we build for it

TCT is the Cardiovascular Research Foundation's annual meeting for interventional cardiovascular medicine, and its floor follows the cath lab.In 2026 the exhibit hall sat between the Main Arena and the Live Cases & Learning Hall, so physicians crossed it on the way from a live case to the next session. The program around the booths is hands-on: Training Pavilions for imaging, physiology and structural skills, a full-day MedTech Innovation Forum and the TCT Shark Tank for early devices. CRF assigns space through a Priority Point System it has run since 2007, and it polices sight lines hard: its 2026 rules kept every island 40% see-through above four feet.

Interventional and structural heart physicians

The working end of the device in their hands, deliverability and sizing on a bench model, and the imaging that guides it on a screen they can read from the aisle, all in the gap between live cases.

Cath lab nurses, technologists and fellows

Prep steps, sheath and wire compatibility, shelf sizes and inventory counts, shown by a clinical specialist at counter height rather than explained on a wall panel.

Investors, strategic partners and early-stage founders

Rules that shape your booth

Islands stay 40% see-through

Every TCT island must be at least 40% see-through above four feet, counting walls, furniture and hanging signs, with solid walls capped at 15 feet; each foot over cost 10 Priority Points (2026 rules). We draw the transparency into the design and file it with CRF.

Organizer rule

15-foot islands, 8-foot inlines

Island structures stop at 15 feet and hanging signs, trusses and headers at 25 feet; two-story booths stop at 18 feet, and inline booths at 8 feet with 4-foot sidewalls (2026 rules). We build to these heights and submit drawings before construction.

Organizer rule

Display-only label without FDA approval

A company without FDA approval for a product must state clearly on its booth that the product is for display only and not approved for use in the United States. We print that statement at each device and on any graphic showing it.

Organizer rule

No raffles, giveaways under $25

Contests, lotteries, raffles and games of chance are banned, promotional items stay at $25 or less unless CRF approves in writing, and alcohol is prohibited (2026 rules). We design engagement around the device demo and lead capture, not prize draws.

Organizer rule

Cameras inside your booth only

Photographs, video and audio recording, phones included, are allowed only in your own booth, and recording another exhibitor's booth costs 10 Priority Points and removal from the meeting (2026 rules). We schedule your booth photography inside your space after install.

02 Booths & pricing for TCT 2027

Popular booth sizes at TCT

CRF sells inline booths up to 10×30 and islands from 20×20, and in 2026 a 10×20 cost $42,500 in space alone. Global structural heart and imaging brands take large islands. We recommend a 10×20 inline with one bench-model demo for a focused device line, and a 20×30 island when you show a console plus imaging.

Case study · Pixee Medical

Pixee Medical at a medical technology congress

A focused, demo-first booth for augmented-reality surgical guidance, built so every visitor could try the technology while traffic kept moving.

Pixee Medical asked for a booth where each visitor could test its augmented-reality guidance without stalling the aisle; TCT's no-lecture rule makes that one-to-one, hands-on demo layout the right model.

04 Designing for interventional, structural heart, vascular and cath lab imaging device companies at TCT

Four things we get right for TCT exhibitors

Doctor in a white coat reviewing results on a tablet with a patient beside an ultrasound unit1

Draw the 40% see-through first

CRF requires every TCT island to stay 40% see-through above four feet, side to side and floor to ceiling, with solid walls no higher than 15 feet; each foot of noncompliance cost 10 Priority Points in 2026 and a seat in next year's priority selection. We calculate transparency on the drawing before any wall is built.

2

Demonstrate, never lecture

TCT bans educational programming inside booths, defined as a speaker presenting to an audience, and charged 20 Priority Points for it in 2026; talks belong in a paid Academic Satellite Program. So we design one-to-one demo stations around bench models and imaging screens, with no seated theater that could read as a lecture.

3

Label what is not FDA approved

TCT draws participants from more than 100 countries, so a device with CE mark but no U.S. approval can reach its floor, and CRF requires those booths to state clearly that the product is for display only and not approved for use in the United States. We print that line at the product and on every graphic showing it.

4

Plan for the early last-day close

In 2026 the TCT hall opened at 7:45 a.m. and closed at 2:25 p.m. on its final day, move-out began at 3 p.m., and leaving early cost 20 Priority Points. We staff the booth to the last minute, stage crates for a fast teardown and book outbound freight before the show starts.

05 San Francisco, CA

Logistics for TCT 2027, handled

CRF has named San Francisco for TCT 2027. In Purple's San Francisco experience, Moscone Center is the city's main convention complex: a union floor where city jurisdictions cover installing and dismantling exhibits, with 20 loading docks serving North and South, and drayage we plan at about $180 per hundredweight. For TCT 2026, Freeman was CRF's contractor: exhibitors named CRF and Freeman as additional insureds, carpeted their own booths and paid $1,000 for building outside official move-in hours. We file the booth drawing and EAC paperwork with CRF, ship crates to the advance warehouse under your booth number, and our own project manager runs the install with vetted local union labor.

Hall guide

Purple's San Francisco venue guide covers Moscone Center, the city's main convention complex under Yerba Buena Gardens. These are its exhibit halls and docks, and what each means for a cath lab booth.

Moscone South, Halls A–C

250,000+ square feet without columns under 37-foot ceilings, with Blue Dock (four bays) feeding Hall A and Green Dock (three bays) feeding Hall C, per Moscone.

Our advice: Under a 37-foot ceiling, CRF's 15-foot structure cap is the real limit, so we spend a TCT budget on see-through framing and demo counters rather than height.

Moscone North, Hall F

A 138,780-square-foot hall with a 28-foot ceiling; its Red Dock has nine bays, and a refrigerated truck holds bay 2.

Our advice: A 25-foot island sign fits under this ceiling, so we rig it on an open frame that still counts toward CRF's 40% see-through test.

Halls D and E

Flexible carpeted halls in South and North that work as exhibit space or breakout rooms; neither has its own loading dock, so freight arrives through the internal freight system.

Our advice: In halls without a dock we pack lighter crates and book an earlier target, since every load travels farther.

What Purple handles

  • Booth drawings with the 40% see-through calculation, filed with CRF
  • EAC forms and certificates of insurance naming CRF and the contractor
  • Display-only labels for devices without U.S. approval
  • Demo stations sized for bench models, consoles and imaging screens
  • Freight to the advance warehouse, return shipping and storage
  • Our project manager on the TCT floor from first crate to last

Timeline, counted back from move-in

We need design sign-off by early August 2027.

  1. Spring 2027Booth selection: in 2026 CRF opened priority selection in March on MapYourShow, so we size the footprint and budget with you before your appointment.
  2. Early August 2027Design sign-off, with the 40% see-through calculation, 15-foot structure and 25-foot sign heights marked on the drawings.
  3. August to September 2027Production in Fishkill, NY: demo counters, bench-model mounts, imaging screen walls and fabric graphics built and tested.
  4. About five weeks before openingBooth design submitted to CRF and EAC forms filed; for the 2026 meeting these were due September 16 and September 28.
  5. About 3 weeks before move-inCrates ship to the advance warehouse; contractor orders for electrical, carpet, rigging and internet placed at discount rates.
  6. October 18–21, 2027Move-in in the days before opening, the meeting itself, then dismantle once the hall closes and crates head to storage or your next show.

Purple planning timeline. Official move-in, freight target and order deadlines come from your exhibitor kit and assigned schedule; we confirm them against your booth when you book.

TCT exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before TCT

How much does a booth at TCT 2027 cost?

At TCT the space is the biggest line: CRF charged $42,500 for a 10×20 and $58,000 for a 20×20 island in 2026, with 2.9% off for check, ACH or wire. The booth itself runs $7,500 to $15,000 for a 10×20 rental, or $50,000 to $120,000 for a custom 20×20. Imaging consoles, simulators and see-through structure move our number most.

When are TCT 2027 booth drawings due?

For the 2026 meeting CRF wanted booth designs by September 16, EAC forms by September 28 and Freeman discount orders by October 2, roughly six weeks before opening. Expect a similar calendar for 2027; with design approval from you by early August 2027, our drawings reach CRF in time to clear its see-through review first time.

Can we rent a booth for TCT, and what does a rental include?

A TCT rental comes with an open frame built to pass the 40% see-through rule, fabric graphics, LED lighting, demo counters at clinician height, lockable storage for devices and the carpet CRF requires you to supply, with shipping both ways, setup and teardown priced together on a fixed proposal. Once the hall closes, the rental returns to our shop.

Can our own staff set up our TCT booth in San Francisco?

San Francisco is a union city: in Purple's experience at Moscone Center, the main convention complex, union jurisdictions cover installing and dismantling exhibits, while your staff may unpack and place products. CRF also charged $1,000 to anyone building outside official move-in hours in 2026. We file as your EAC and send our own project manager to run the crew.

Can we run hands-on device demos or simulators at TCT?

Hands-on demos in your own space are what the TCT floor is for; a speaker presenting to a seated audience is not, and costs Priority Points. Simulation buses and trucks go on the hall perimeter, alcohol is banned, and any medical testing needs advance written approval from the venue (2026 rules). We design the demo around these limits.

What does drayage cost for TCT in San Francisco, and who pays it?

Purple's venue guide plans San Francisco's Moscone Center at roughly $180 for each 100 pounds, 200 pounds minimum, across 2026 and 2027, and the official contractor bills it at its own kit tariff. Consoles, simulators and crated monitors are the heavy items at TCT, so we weigh every crate before shipping and list material handling as its own proposal line.

Can we hang a sign over our TCT booth?

Only on an island. CRF allows hanging signs and banners above islands alone, with signs, trusses and headers up to 25 feet, while inline booths stop at 8 feet with 4-foot sidewalls (2026 rules). A sign counts toward the 40% see-through test too, so we use open or mesh signs that read from the aisle.

How do Priority Points decide where our TCT booth goes?

CRF gives 10 points for each past TCT exhibited, 10 to 30 points for last year's booth size and 20 for exhibiting at another CRF meeting such as THT or New York Valves; higher totals pick space first (2026 system). Points come off for early move-out, freight in the aisle or booth construction breaches, so we build to the rules.

Can we reuse our TCT booth at other cardiology meetings?

We design TCT islands to break down into smaller kits, and one structure can travel on to ACC.27, to Heart Rhythm 2027 (also a San Francisco meeting) or to the AHA Scientific Sessions under fresh graphics. In the months between, we store it, refit the counters for whichever device line goes next and freight it to that meeting's warehouse.

When is TCT 2027?

TCT 2027 runs Monday, October 18 to Thursday, October 21, 2027, in San Francisco, per CRF's TCTMD calendar. In 2026 the hall opened on the second day of the meeting, stayed open three days and closed at 2:25 p.m. on day three. The 2027 hall dates are not confirmed yet; we plan crews and freight once CRF posts them.

Where is TCT 2027 held?

In San Francisco, California, October 18–21, 2027, per CRF's TCTMD calendar. TCT also met in San Francisco in 2023 and 2025, came to Washington, D.C. in 2024 and ran in Halls C–G of the San Diego Convention Center in 2026. We plan freight, union labor and hotels for whichever hall CRF assigns.

How many people attend TCT?

CRF's 2026 exhibitor prospectus puts the audience at more than 10,000 attendees from over 100 countries, with 100+ exhibiting companies on the floor. TCT began in 1988 as a gathering of 150 and now draws more than 100 medical and business reporters to cover its late-breaking trials, which raises the stakes for any device news timed to the meeting.

Is TCT open to the public?

No. TCT is a professional meeting run by registration, and U.S. physicians give their National Provider Identifier when they register. Exhibitor badges come with the booth: in 2026 a 10×20 carried three full-conference and eight exhibit-hall-only badges. Product information may be handed out only inside your own booth, never in session rooms or hotel lobbies.

How do I get a booth at TCT?

Returning exhibitors book and pick space on MapYourShow at a Priority Point appointment; then General Booth Sales open to everyone first come, first served, with full payment due within 90 days of the contract. In 2026 a cancellation before June 26 cost half the booth fee. Pre-revenue startups can apply for CRF's Emerging Technology discounts.

Before you sign with anyone

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for TCT:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
