Your buyer runs a snack plant: SNAXPO 2027 booths in Charlotte

SNAXPO buyers run snack plants, so we build booths that show your seasoning, film or machine doing its job inside SNAC's 8-foot, rear-half rule for standard booths. At the Charlotte Convention Center we order in-house power and compressed air 30 days out and roll skidded crates through drive-in hall gates.

What makes SNAXPO different, and how we build for it

SNAXPO27 is the 86th SNAC International Exhibit & Conference and comes around every other year, with SNAC's SNX forum in between.SNAC bills it as the only vertically integrated trade show dedicated exclusively to the global snack supply chain, and the customer passes exhibitors hand out are reserved for snack producers SNAC vets, so the aisles fill with people shopping for lines, seasonings, film and co-packing capacity. At SNAXPO25 in Orlando, Startups at SNAXPO ran docent-led floor tours with Food Entrepreneur, Co-Man Central brought co-manufacturers and emerging brands together, and seasoning suppliers battled in the Flavor Showdown. Lunch on both hall days and the exhibit hall reception are served on the floor, so traffic peaks at meals.

Snack plant owners and operations leaders

A fryer, oven, slicer or bagger they can watch at real speed, throughput and changeover figures in plain numbers, and a quiet seat to talk through a capital purchase, because SNAXPO gives them one chance in two years to see your line in person.

R&D, quality and seasoning buyers

A flavor they can taste on a real base chip, allergen and shelf-life data on the spec sheet, and a food technologist in the booth who can talk adhesion, salt levels and scale-up.

Emerging brands looking for co-manufacturers

Co-packers and packaging partners who state minimum runs, formats and lead times plainly, the kind of meeting Startups at SNAXPO and Co-Man Central arranged on the 2025 floor.

Rules that shape your booth

Eight feet, rear half only

Standard booths top out at 8 feet, that height may extend only half the booth depth from the back wall, and nothing in the front half may exceed 4 feet, and side dividers stop at 3 feet. We put headers and machine guards at the back and keep counters low.

Organizer rule

Islands yes, peninsulas no

SNAC does not permit peninsula booths, and every island adds an $800 aisle access charge to the $3,900 per 10×10 space rate. We plan your footprint as an inline or a full island from day one, so the drawings never need a late change.

Organizer rule

List every machine you run

The SNAXPO27 application asks for every product shown and every piece of equipment that will operate, and drip pans must sit under anything that could leak. We build stainless trays into machine plinths and send SNAC the equipment list with your contract.

Organizer rule

Samples need written consent first

Exhibitors may supply food or beverages only with written consent from SNAC and the facility, and alcohol needs SNAC's express approval plus possible corkage fees. We file the sampling request early and design the tasting point so samples stay inside your booth line.

Organizer rule

Customer passes grow with booth size

Booths of 20×30 and larger receive unlimited complimentary exhibit-hall passes for customers who are snack producers, while booths of 20×20 and smaller get them at 50% off. We weigh that benefit when we size your SNAXPO footprint.

Popular booth sizes at SNAXPO

SNAC sells SNAXPO space in 10×10 units at $3,900 each, allows islands with an $800 aisle charge and does not permit peninsulas. Inlines suit seasoning, film and software suppliers; we recommend a 20×30 island when you run equipment, because that size also unlocks unlimited free exhibit-hall passes for your snack-producer customers.

04 Designing for snack equipment, seasoning, ingredient, packaging and co-manufacturing suppliers at SNAXPO

Four things we get right for SNAXPO exhibitors

Three metal spoons holding red, orange and brown seasoning powders on a dark surface1

Put height behind the half-depth line

SNAC caps standard SNAXPO booths at 8 feet and lets that height reach only halfway forward from the back wall, with 4 feet the limit in front. We set headers, machine guards and literature towers in the rear half and keep tasting rails and conveyor beds low enough to read from the aisle.

Worker in hairnet, mask and gloves checking cut potato strips as they leave a conveyor2

Order power and air like a plant

The Charlotte Convention Center is the only utility provider in its halls, with 208-volt and 480-volt three-phase power and compressed air that switches on one hour before opening. We tag every machine with voltage, phase and amps, order 30 days before move-in at the advance rate, and ask SNAC about early air during move-in if a machine needs a test run.

3

Catch every drop of fryer oil

SNAC requires drip pans under any equipment that could leak, and the Charlotte Convention Center allows nothing but water into its drains. For a fryer or seasoning-tumbler demo we build stainless catch trays into the machine plinth, plan sealed containers to haul used oil out and keep a spill kit behind the counter.

4

Design for lunch on the show floor

SNAC serves lunch inside the SNAXPO exhibit hall on Monday and Tuesday and holds its reception there too, so the busiest aisle minutes come at mealtimes. We add a waist-high ledge where a plant manager can set down a plate, plus a seated table at the back for the capital-budget conversation.

Logistics for SNAXPO 2027, handled

The Charlotte Convention Center calls itself a non-union facility in a right-to-work state, and SNAC's contract lets full-time exhibitor staff, its official general service contractor or an exhibitor-appointed contractor (EAC) build. Utilities work differently: the center's own electricians and plumbers bring every power, water and compressed-air line to the booth, at advance rates only when ordered 30 days before move-in. Trucks unload at 19 covered docks with drive-in gates into each hall, and the halls are not air-conditioned during move-in, so we schedule heavy lifts early. We file the EAC forms and insurance certificate, place the utility orders, then our project manager runs the Charlotte build alongside vetted local labor. The building sits between two LYNX Blue Line stations.

Hall guide

The Charlotte Convention Center puts every exhibit on one 280,000-square-foot level with drive-in truck access to each hall. SNAC assigns booths first come, first served; here is what each hall means for an equipment booth.

Halls A and B

Two 100,000-square-foot halls with dark-troweled concrete floors rated at 350 pounds per square foot live load and LED fixtures 30 feet up; Hall B also has a 26-by-29-foot Elephant Door.

Our advice: Skidded fryers and baggers can sit straight on the slab, so we plan carpet around the machine footprint and book the forklift move before move-in day.

Halls C1 and C2

Two 40,000-square-foot halls that combine into an 80,000-square-foot Hall C, which the building can also convert into a general-assembly room for up to 5,000 people.

Our advice: Wherever SNAC places you, we check the floor plan for column lines and the nearest floor box before fixing where the machine and the tasting counter sit.

Floor pits and column utility points

Floor boxes every 30 feet carry 120-volt and 208-volt three-phase power; 480-volt power, cold water and compressed air start at column points 90 feet apart and pull through underfloor conduit.

Our advice: A booth far from a column point needs longer air and 480-volt runs, and machines built for European voltages need your own transformer, so we order early.

What Purple handles

  • SNAC booth contract, EAC paperwork and the insurance certificate
  • In-house power, compressed air and water orders at advance rates
  • Inline structures built to SNAC's 8-foot, rear-half rule in our Fishkill, NY shop
  • Sampling approval requests to SNAC and the venue's Food and Beverage Director
  • Freight to the advance warehouse and the Charlotte Convention Center docks
  • A Purple project manager on the SNAXPO floor from first crate to last

SNAXPO exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before SNAXPO

How much does a booth at SNAXPO 2027 cost?

For an equipment supplier showing one running module, plan on a 20×20 island: $16,000 to $40,000 as a rental or $50,000 to $120,000 custom. Seasoning and film suppliers fit well in a 10×20 rental at $7,500 to $15,000. At SNAXPO the number moves with machine plinths, utility drops and drip trays; SNAC bills space separately at $3,900 per 10×10.

What is the deadline to book a booth at SNAXPO 2027?

SNAC wants the space balance by November 30, 2026; applications after that pay 100% upfront, and cancelling after that date costs the full space fee. For the build, we need design sign-off in late January 2027 and each machine's power and air specs before the convention center's advance utility rates close, 30 days ahead of move-in.

Can we rent a booth for SNAXPO, and what does a rental include?

A SNAXPO rental covers the frame, printed fabric graphics, LED lighting, a counter, freight, install and dismantle on one fixed proposal. We size it to SNAC's rule, 8 feet at the back wall and nothing over 4 feet in the front half, and can add a custom tasting rail or machine plinth built in Fishkill, NY.

Can we set up our own booth at the Charlotte Convention Center?

Yes. Under SNAC's rules your own full-time employees may install, or you can hand the work to the official decorator or an appointed contractor such as Purple. Utilities are the exception: the convention center's electricians and plumbers bring every line to the booth, though your technicians may connect machines to the ordered drops. We file the EAC forms and certificates so your crew badges in on time.

Can we run equipment and hand out samples at SNAXPO?

Yes, with paperwork. The SNAXPO27 application asks you to list every machine you will operate, SNAC requires drip pans under anything that could leak, and food or drink may be served only with written consent. The venue caps food samples at bite size and drinks at 4 ounces, and nothing but water goes down its drains, so we plan oil trays and waste removal.

What does drayage cost at SNAXPO, and who pays it?

Drayage, the charge for moving freight from the dock to your booth and back, is priced by weight and paid by the exhibitor, so skidded fryers, slicers and baggers add up quickly. We weigh every crate, consolidate shipments onto one bill of lading where we can and put the estimate on your proposal. The building's 19 covered docks and drive-in hall gates keep forklift moves short.

Can we reuse our SNAXPO booth at other shows?

SNAXPO only comes around every other year, so the structure should earn its keep in between. We build it to break down into a 10×20 inline for PACK EXPO Southeast in Atlanta, IFT FIRST in Chicago or PACK EXPO Las Vegas, store it between shows and reprint graphics for each audience, so the machine plinths keep working.

Which hall will SNAXPO use at the Charlotte Convention Center?

The building's exhibit level is one 280,000-square-foot floor split into Halls A and B at 100,000 square feet each and Halls C1 and C2 at 40,000 each, all with drive-in truck access. SNAC assigns space first come, first served and may move competitors apart, so we check columns and floor boxes on your assigned spot.

We already own a booth. Can you adapt it to SNAXPO's 8-foot limit?

We measure your exhibit against SNAC's standard-booth rule, 8 feet maximum in the rear half and 4 feet in front, then cut down or re-panel whatever exceeds it. We reprint graphics for a snack-producer audience, add a machine plinth or tasting rail if needed, ship it to Charlotte, install it with our own project manager and store it afterward.

When is SNAXPO 2027?

SNAXPO27 runs Sunday, April 4 to Tuesday, April 6, 2027, at the Charlotte Convention Center, and the exhibit hall is open Monday, April 5 and Tuesday, April 6, with lunch served on the floor both days. The exhibitor dates come first: the space balance is due November 30, 2026 and insurance certificates by February 14, 2027.

Where is SNAXPO 2027 held?

At the Charlotte Convention Center, 501 S. College St. in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina; SNAC also brought SNAXPO21 to Charlotte in August 2021. Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is 7 miles and about 15 minutes away, and the LYNX Blue Line stops at Brooklyn Village and 3rd St/Convention Center, with the building directly between them.

How many people attend SNAXPO?

SNAC counted over 900 snack producers and suppliers at SNAXPO21 in Charlotte, August 22 to 24, 2021, when SNAXPO brought the industry back together after more than two years. The 2025 edition in Orlando ran 15 education sessions and a Flavor Showdown among 10 seasoning suppliers. From a 20×30 booth up, exhibitors invite snack-producer customers free and without limit.

Who organizes SNAXPO?

SNAC International, the snack industry trade association in Arlington, Virginia, founded in 1937 and formerly called the Snack Food Association. It represents over 200 companies worldwide and holds SNAXPO every other year, alternating with SNX, which met in Dallas March 29 to 31, 2026. SNAXPO27 is the 86th SNAC International Exhibit & Conference.

How do I get a booth at SNAXPO?

Through SNAC's online booth request form: open the SNAXPO 2027 booth map, add booths in order of preference and return the completed contract with a 50% deposit. Space is $3,900 per 10×10, islands add an $800 aisle fee and non-members add $1,250. SNAC assigns booths first come, first served, and applications after November 30, 2026 pay in full.

Before you sign with anyone

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for SNAXPO:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
