Expo West 2027 in Anaheim: a booth built around the tasting counter
We design Expo West booths so a grocery buyer can taste, read the label and talk margin in one stop, with the tasting line kept inside your space. At the Anaheim Convention Center we file the Booth Approval Form and your GES orders, and draw to your hall's height limits.
- Halls open March 3–5
- 3,200+ exhibitors in 2026
- Booth approval by Jan 15
What makes Natural Products Expo West different, and how we build for it
Expo West vets the product before it sells the booth.A brand reserves space only after New Hope Network's Standards team clears its labels against the Ingredient Standards, which prohibit artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners, so exhibitors compete on taste, story and margin rather than on clean labels alone. Returning exhibitors choose space for each edition in Priority Points order, earned through past shows and square feet bought. In 2026 buyers had Buyer-Only Hours before the floor opened each day, and The Launch Pad gathered emerging brands in the Arena. NEXTY Awards finalists are showcased on site, and certified-organic brands can add the Fresh Ideas Organic Marketplace, an outdoor market held before the main floor opens.
A taste in seconds, the shelf-ready pack and case pack beside it, and wholesale pricing, margin and promotion plans on a sell sheet they can carry to the next aisle.
The full range by SKU, shelf life, minimums and lead times, which retailers already carry the line, and staff who can answer without leaving the counter.
Growth numbers, a clear brand story and a quiet seat away from the tasting line, so a funding or co-manufacturing conversation can run for twenty minutes.

Rules that shape your booth
Every exhibitor submits a diagram of the whole booth on the mandatory Booth Approval Form by January 15, 2027, and booths that never file face Anaheim Fire Marshal review before opening. We file it with every height, sign and flame-retardant certificate marked.
Inline booths keep anything over 4 feet out of the front five feet and stop at 8 feet 3 inches; island structures stop at 16 feet and hanging signs at 20 feet (2026 rules). We draw the booth to these numbers before you approve it.
Hall E allows no hanging signs and caps island and peninsula structures at 12 feet (2026 rules), under a 13-foot-8-inch ceiling. If your space lands in Hall E, we move the brand onto lit fascia and a product wall that reads across the aisle.
Food samples stay at 4 ounces or less and non-alcoholic drinks at 8 ounces, served by gloved staff behind a sneeze guard, with a hand-washing kit in the booth and cold food at or below 41°F (2026 rules). We build the guard, kit and cold holding into the counter.
Alcohol is bought by the convention center's exclusive caterer, resold to your licensed company and poured by its certified bartenders, with a posted 21-and-over, photo-ID sign (2026 rules). We place the caterer order and design a bar with room for their bartender.
Programs worth planning for
New Hope's product awards, judged on inspiration, innovation and integrity. Any natural CPG brand whose products meet the Ingredient Standards may enter, exhibitor or not, at $250 per nomination until December 2, 2026.

Popular booth sizes at Natural Products Expo West
New Hope sells 5×10s, inlines and corners 7 to 10 feet deep, and peninsulas and islands from 200 square feet; peninsulas go in designated areas and island space is limited. We recommend a 10×20 sampling inline for your first years here, and a 20×20 island when you need a hanging sign, two tasting faces and a buyer table.

Two tasting stations for different product lines, a lit shelf set showing every SKU and flavor, and a standing table for buyer and distributor talks.

Machu Picchu Foods at a food and beverage trade show
A layered, walk-through environment inspired by the landmark itself, turning curiosity into sampling conversations.
Machu Picchu Foods used a layered, walk-through booth to pull visitors in to sample; Expo West's 2026 rules set tasting tables three feet inside, so that layout fits.

04 Designing for natural, organic and better-for-you food, beverage and supplement brands at Natural Products Expo West
Four things we get right for Natural Products Expo West exhibitors
1Pull the tasting line inside
The 2026 rules put sampling tables at least three feet inside your space, and Show Management can stop sampling that spills into the aisle. We set the counter back, leave a landing zone in front of it for the queue, and keep prep, restock and waste behind the server so the line never reaches your neighbor.
2Print graphics without foam core
Expo West's 2026 rules ban expanded polystyrene in any form for sampling, giveaways or signage, foam core included. We print your packaging wall and headers on tension fabric and rigid board, ship flame-retardant certificates with the booth, and suggest compostable single-serve cups for the samples so nothing in the booth breaks the rule.
3Sell from the sheet, not the sign
The 2026 rules banned price signs and on-floor sales, and that year's hosted buyers had to log meetings with at least ten exhibiting brands, so the deal happens in conversation. We build a buyer counter with sell sheets, case-pack samples and a lead scanner within reach, plus a standing table for the longer talk.
Store one day of product, no more
Fire rules in the 2026 kit allow one day of storage inside the booth and none behind drapery, and the sampling rules keep food, cups and napkins off the floor. We design raised, lockable under-counter storage sized to a day of samples and plan daily restock from GES refrigerated, frozen or dry storage.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this

Logistics for Natural Products Expo West 2027, handled
GES is Expo West's official contractor for freight, drayage, electrical and flooring, with union jurisdiction on the floor. Under the 2026 rules, exhibitors could hand-carry only 100 pounds with no dollies, and GES cartload service took up to 600 pounds through the marshalling yard, so we crate the booth to the GES advance warehouse and price the drayage as its own proposal line. The Anaheim Fire Marshal can pull any piece that is not flame-proofed and queue it at Delta Pacific Fireproofing, so our certificates travel with the freight. We file the EAC notice with GES, our own project manager runs the install alongside vetted Anaheim labor, and the Hilton Anaheim and Anaheim Marriott flank the Grand Plaza.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Anaheim Convention Center exhibitor guide.
Hall guide
In 2026 Expo West ran across the Anaheim Convention Center's Halls A to E, the Arena, Level 3 and the ACC North halls. Ceilings and rules change from hall to hall, so the build follows your assignment.
Halls A to D run 145,841 to 221,284 square feet with ceilings from 18 feet 6 inches to 25 feet; the Arena adds 28,140 flat-floor square feet and hosted The Launch Pad in 2026.
Our advice: Under the 2026 rules, islands of 20×20 and up could fly a hanging sign to 20 feet here, set back 10 feet from neighbors, so this is where a sign earns its rigging cost.
143,474 square feet under a 13-foot-8-inch ceiling. The 2026 rules allowed no hanging signs here and capped island and peninsula structures at 12 feet.
Our advice: We design Hall E islands around lit fascia and a tall product wall in place of a sign, and keep every tower under the hall's structure cap.
ACC North has two 100,000-square-foot levels with 25-foot ceilings. In 2026 Level 3 housed Hot Products, and both areas required flooring over the whole booth and used 8-foot-deep inlines.
Our advice: If your space lands here, we size the counter and back wall for the shallower inline and put flooring on the proposal from the start.
The certified-organic outdoor market held before the main floor opens; in 2026 each exhibitor got a 6-foot counter-height table in a tent, with displays capped at 3 feet.
Our advice: We build a tabletop kit: a fitted branded table cover, a riser display cut to the height cap and a slim pull-up banner for behind the table.

Natural Products Expo West exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before Natural Products Expo West
How much does a booth at Expo West 2027 cost?
For most Expo West brands the right tier is a 10×20 sampling inline: rentals run $7,500 to $15,000, while a custom 20×20 island runs $50,000 to $120,000. Refrigerated counters, sneeze guards, hand-washing stations and product freight move the number here. New Hope bills space on top: $9,384 for an inline 10×10 on its 2025 rate card (latest published).
What is the booth approval deadline for Expo West 2027?
Expo West's mandatory Booth Approval Form is due January 15, 2027, with a diagram of the whole booth showing every height, any hanging sign and your sampling, alcohol and hand-washing plans. Show staff keep working through forms until February 24 with no promised answer, and booths that never filed face Anaheim Fire Marshal review before opening. We need design sign-off by mid-December 2026 to file on time.
Can we rent a booth for Expo West, and what does a rental include?
Yes. A rental covers the frame, fabric graphics printed without foam core, lighting, a sampling counter with a sneeze guard and under-counter storage, plus freight, installation and dismantle on one fixed proposal. New Hope supplies no standard drapery for islands, so on an island rental we finish every exposed side. After the show the rental comes back to us, with nothing for you to store.
Can we set up our own booth at the Anaheim Convention Center?
Only in a narrow lane. Under the 2026 rules, full-time staff could hand-carry 100 pounds with no dollies or carts, and the union could ask for proof of employment; GES cartload service took up to 600 pounds from the marshalling yard. A built booth goes up with GES labor or a registered exhibitor-appointed contractor, which is our route: we file the EAC notice and certificate of insurance with GES.
What are the sampling rules at Expo West?
Under the 2026 sampling rules, food samples stay at 4 ounces or less and non-alcoholic drinks at 8 ounces, handed out by gloved staff, never self-serve. You may sample only what you make or distribute; extra ingredients and traffic builders like coffee come from the convention center's exclusive caterer. Every open-sampling booth needs a hand-washing kit and a sneeze guard, so we build both into the counter.
Can we pour alcohol samples at our Expo West booth?
Only through the convention center's exclusive caterer, under the 2026 rules: it buys the alcohol, resells it to your licensed company and supplies the certified bartenders who pour it. Guests must be 21, and the booth posts the organizer's exact 21-and-over, photo-ID sign. We build a back bar with room for the caterer's bartender and print the sign into your graphics.
What does drayage cost at the Anaheim Convention Center, and who pays it?
Plan about $170 to $180 per hundredweight with a 200-pound minimum, our 2026–27 planning figure for this building; GES bills drayage to you at its exhibitor kit tariff. Cases of product are the heavy part, so we consolidate them with the booth crates, give refrigerated goods their own delivery plan and show the drayage figure as a separate line before you sign.
Which hall will our Expo West booth be in?
In 2026 the show used Halls A to E, the Arena, Level 3 and ACC North, with space picked in Priority Points order. That year Hall E, under a 13-foot-8-inch ceiling, allowed no hanging signs and capped islands at 12 feet, while ACC North and Level 3 required full flooring and 8-foot-deep inlines. We draw for your hall once it is assigned.
Can we reuse our Expo West booth at other shows?
We build the counters and walls to reconfigure, so the same booth can follow you to Newtopia Now, the Summer Fancy Food Show or SupplySide Global with new graphics for each audience. Between shows it sits in our storage, gets its counter refitted for the next product mix and ships to whichever advance warehouse that show names.
When is Natural Products Expo West 2027?
Expo West 2027 runs Tuesday, March 2 to Friday, March 5, 2027. Education sessions run all four days, and the exhibit halls at the Anaheim Convention Center open Wednesday, March 3 through Friday, March 5. For exhibitors the first hard date comes earlier: the Booth Approval Form is due January 15, 2027.
Where is Expo West 2027 held?
At the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Avenue in Anaheim, California. The 2027 floor plan maps Halls A to E, the Arena and Level 3. New Hope names John Wayne Orange County Airport (SNA) and LAX as the closest airports, and onPeak is the only housing provider it endorses.
How many people attend Expo West?
New Hope counted 66,000 registered attendees and more than 3,200 exhibiting brands at the 45th Expo West in March 2026. The 2025 show drew more than 64,000 attendees and the 2024 show over 65,000, while the 2019 edition drew more than 86,000 attendees from 136 countries and 3,600+ exhibiting companies.
Is Expo West open to the public?
No. Expo West is a trade-only show, and anyone who cannot show a direct professional tie to the natural products trade does not qualify to attend. Everyone 16 and older must qualify as an attendee or exhibitor, children 15 and under need a Children's Badge, and no one under 18 may be on the floor during move-in or move-out.
How do I get a booth at Expo West?
New Hope Network, part of Informa Markets, sells the space. New brands pay a non-refundable application fee, which also covers Newtopia Now, then submit their products for the Standards Team review against the Ingredient Standards; New Hope reviews applications within 5 to 7 business days, and an application must be completed and approved within 90 days or it expires. An approved application stays active for one year from submission, and returning exhibitors choose space in Priority Points order.
