Bring the running line to IBIE 2028 and we build the Las Vegas booth around it

Plant managers, engineers and bakery owners come to IBIE to watch equipment run and taste what an ingredient does, so we design around the working machine and the finished loaf. In 2025, uncrated machinery skipped Freeman's advance warehouse for its own LVCC target time; our Las Vegas crew times each install to the machine's arrival.

What makes IBIE different, and how we build for it

IBIE comes around once every three years, so buyers arrive ready to purchase and suppliers save their debuts for it.The American Bakers Association and BEMA own the nonprofit show and put every dollar of proceeds back into the grain-based food industry. In 2025 the sold-out floor set a record of 451,100 square feet and carried about 7 million pounds of technology, equipment and supplies. Commercial bakers fill the Wholesale Bakers Center, and the Innovation Showcase gathers products never before seen at IBIE. In 2025 retail owners crowded the four stages of the RBA Retail Bakers Center and bread bakers competed for the World Bread Awards USA.

Wholesale plant managers and engineers

The machine running at a believable speed, guarding, changeover and sanitation access they can inspect up close, and footprint, utility and throughput figures they can carry into a capital request.

R&D, food safety and purchasing teams

Baked proof of what an ingredient does to crumb, sugar or shelf life, specification sheets within reach, and a quiet seat to talk trials, supply security and price.

Retail, artisan and international bakery owners

Equipment sized for a shop or a mid-size plant, demos they can try with their own hands, Spanish-speaking staff and straight answers on parts, service and shipping to their country.

Your team in Las Vegas

Two shops, one project manager, every hall

We build in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, and our Las Vegas hub, ship to the Las Vegas Convention Center, and install with our own project manager on the floor and vetted local labor. Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA.

Your team walks into a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.

Rules that shape your booth

Uncrated machinery went direct in 2025

In 2025 Freeman's advance warehouse took crated freight but no uncrated machinery, which came direct to the LVCC on its target date, and every exhibit with machinery filed a freight survey. We crate graphics for the warehouse and give each machine its own carrier.

Organizer rule

Member rate needs three years of dues

The member booth rate applies only if ABA, BEMA or RBA membership stays active for 2026, 2027 and 2028; a company that drops it is rebilled at the non-member rate. We price your space both ways until membership is settled.

Organizer rule

No cannabis, even for edibles suppliers

Cannabis edibles supplies and services is an approved exhibit category, yet cannabis and CBD may not be possessed, used or consumed at IBIE 2028 or anywhere in LVCC buildings. We build edibles displays with non-infused product and run depositors on plain batter.

Organizer rule

Las Vegas limits on exhibitor staff

Under the 2025 rules, full-time staff could install the display, plug into 120V/20A service, hang small clip-on lights and hand-carry through main entrance doors but not docks. We schedule your team for those tasks and our Las Vegas crew for everything else.

Organizer rule

Sister brands pay per listing

Subsidiaries sharing one contiguous booth each buy an Additional Listing, $2,750 for members or $3,000 for non-members, and earn no priority points; separate booths need separate contracts. We zone shared islands so every listed brand gets its own wall.

02 Booths & pricing for IBIE 2028

Popular booth sizes at IBIE

IBIE sells space by the square foot, and its priority-points table credits past footprints from 100 to more than 4,000 square feet, so the floor runs from 10×10 ingredient booths to multi-machine islands. We recommend a 10×20 for an ingredient supplier showing baked results, and a 20×30 or larger island when a line has to run.

04 Designing for bakery equipment, ingredient and packaging suppliers at IBIE

Four things we get right for IBIE exhibitors

Rows of bagels baking on metal boards inside a commercial bakery oven1

Plan the floor around machine weight

IBIE 2025 put about 7 million pounds of technology, equipment and supplies on display, and Freeman required a freight survey from every exhibit with machinery so it could bring the right lift equipment. We send your machine weights, dimensions and lift points to the freight team ahead of move-in, then lay out plinths, guarding and walkways around each machine's spot.

Crusty scored loaves baking on two decks of a stainless steel bakery oven2

Draw every power drop in advance

Freeman's 2025 electrical bundle folded cords, quad boxes and cables into one outlet price and asked for a layout wherever machinery needed a drop. We draw that layout from your spec sheets, list voltage and phase per machine, and pre-wire equipment so the line runs when the expo hall opens on September 10.

Woman in white protective clothing, mask and gloves operating large industrial dough mixers3

Give the Innovation Showcase entry a home

Innovation Showcase entries must be products never before seen at IBIE, and in 2025 each one earned a placard for the exhibitor's booth plus a poster display outside the halls. We build a lit plinth for that placard right beside the working product, so attendees arriving from the showcase find the exact item in seconds.

Smiling baker in a white cap holding a tray of fresh pastries beside a bakery rack4

Speak to buyers from 96 countries

In 2025, 28% of IBIE buyers came from abroad, 74% of them from the Americas, led by Mexico, Canada and Brazil, and Chef Talks by Mexipan ran in Spanish. We print key specifications in English and Spanish with metric units and add a seated table where your team can work through quotes with distributors and agents.

Logistics for IBIE 2028, handled

Under IBIE's 2025 all-in-one pricing, the space rate covered material handling: Freeman unloaded every shipment, returned empty crates and spotted each machine once, while uncrated machinery skipped the advance warehouse and checked in at the Las Vegas Convention Center marshalling yard on its target date. Las Vegas labor jurisdiction leaves your full-time employees free to assemble and strike the display with hand tools, while forklifts, pallet jacks and hired labor belong to Teamsters Local 631. Purple files as your Exhibitor Appointed Contractor and draws the electrical layout; our Las Vegas crew then installs, with our Las Vegas shop on call overnight for fixes.

Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Las Vegas Convention Center exhibitor guide.

Hall guide

IBIE 2028 exhibitors pick space by priority points, and the 2025 expo filled the LVCC's West and North Halls. Here is what those halls, and the freight route into them, mean for a booth built around machinery.

West Hall

Opened in 2021: about 600,000 square feet with tall clear heights, spans free of columns, plentiful rigging points and the strongest truck dock access at the LVCC.

Our advice: The best hall for a full production line and a hanging sign; we still check rigging points over your booth number before pricing a sign.

North Hall

About 409,000 square feet joined to the Central Hall, with dense floor plans and tighter aisles at most shows.

Our advice: Keep bake-off counters and sample hand-offs inside your booth line so a crowd around a demo never blocks the aisle.

Marshalling yard and docks

In 2025 carriers checked in at the marshalling yard at their target time, received window cards and waited for dock space before Teamsters unloaded them.

Our advice: Freeman's 2025 advice was to allow three to four hours after target time for delivery, so we start our crew only once your machine is on the floor.

West Hall Lobby

The 2025 BEST in Baking awards ceremony ran here, beside the 4,000-square-foot West Hall Lobby Spectacular, prime advertising space just inside the West Hall entrance.

Our advice: If your company sponsors in the lobby, we match its graphics to your booth so attendees connect the two before they reach the floor.

IBIE exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before IBIE

How much does a booth at IBIE 2028 cost?

For an equipment maker running a machine, plan on a custom 20×20 island at $50,000 to $120,000; an ingredient supplier baking samples usually fits a 10×20 rental at $7,500 to $15,000. Guarding, platforms and power drops move the number most here. Space is extra: at 2025 rates a 20×20 cost $15,100 for ABA, BEMA and RBA members and $19,600 for everyone else.

What is the deadline to apply for IBIE 2028 booth space?

IBIE's priority-points page sets 11:59 p.m. CT on February 19, 2027 as the application and deposit deadline for non-member companies that exhibited at IBIE 2025. General Space Selection is open to new exhibitors and to anyone who misses the April 7, 2027 application deadline, with space assigned in order of application and deposit.

Can we rent a booth for IBIE 2028, and what does a rental include?

Yes. We rent the structure, lit graphics, counters and machine plinths, then ship, install and dismantle them on one fixed proposal, so nothing of yours sits in storage for three years waiting for the next IBIE. Equipment makers often rent the frame and let the machine be the centerpiece, while ingredient suppliers add a custom bake-off counter from our shop.

Can our own staff set up our booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center?

Under the 2025 labor rules, your full-time employees could install and dismantle the display, hang non-electrical signs, plug into 120-volt, 20-amp service and hand-carry items through the main entrance doors, never through the docks. Forklifts and freight handling at the LVCC belong to Teamsters Local 631. With Purple filed as your Exhibitor Appointed Contractor, our Las Vegas crew handles everything beyond those tasks.

How do we get heavy baking equipment onto the IBIE floor?

In 2025 Freeman's advance warehouse refused uncrated machinery, so every machine came straight to the LVCC on its assigned target date, checked in at the marshalling yard and waited for a dock. A one-time spotting of each machine, supervised by the exhibitor, came with the space. We book a carrier for each machine, start our crew once it is unloaded and build the booth around it.

Is drayage included in IBIE booth space?

It was in 2025: IBIE's all-in-one rate covered unlimited material handling, advance-warehouse or direct delivery, storage and return of empty crates, and lead retrieval. Extra charges came from missing the schedule, such as freight arriving off target or after the warehouse cutoff. We weigh, label and route every crate to its target, and list electrical and carpet on your proposal.

Which hall will our IBIE 2028 booth be in?

Priority exhibitors pick their own IBIE 2028 space in a scheduled call-in ranked by priority points; later space goes out in order of application. The 2025 expo used the West and North Halls: the newer West Hall has tall clear heights and the strongest dock access on campus, while North Hall floor plans run denser. We design to your booth number and its hall.

Can we use our IBIE booth at other shows?

IBIE returns only once every three years, so a booth sitting idle in between wastes money. We design the frame to reconfigure for IPPE in Atlanta, IDDBA or PACK EXPO Las Vegas, refresh graphics for each audience and store it at our Las Vegas hub until IBIE comes back to the LVCC.

We are coming from outside the US. Can you build our IBIE booth?

Yes. Nearly three in ten IBIE 2025 buyers came from outside the U.S., so an exhibitor shipping from abroad is in good company. We handle the US side: freight to the advance warehouse once your broker clears it, installation by our Las Vegas crew and storage after the show. For machinery, we book the domestic carrier to the LVCC.

When is IBIE 2028?

The IBIE 2028 expo hall opens Sunday, September 10 and closes Wednesday, September 13, 2028, with IBIEducate and partner education programs starting a day earlier, on Saturday, September 9. Exhibitor deadlines land far sooner: non-member companies that exhibited in 2025 file their space application and deposit by 11:59 p.m. CT on February 19, 2027.

Where is IBIE 2028 held?

IBIE 2028 returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center campus at 3150 Paradise Road, home to IBIE in 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2025. The 2025 expo filled the West and North Halls, linked by free Vegas Loop rides. Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) lies 3.5 miles away by the LVCVA's count, and onPeak books the official IBIE hotel block.

How many people attend IBIE?

IBIE 2025 drew over 19,000 attendees from 96 countries to meet 1,005 exhibitors, 484 of them first-timers, on a record 451,100 square feet. Close to 20,000 professionals registered in 2022, more than 20,000 walked the 2019 hall, and the 2016 show counted approximately 23,000 registered attendees and more than 1,000 exhibitors.

Is IBIE open to the public?

No. IBIE is a trade event, not a consumer show, though you do not need a baking job to register: people from outside the industry choose the Allied/Other category. Registrants may bring spouses or guests over 13 for the registration fee, and no child under 13, infants in strollers included, may enter the show floor.

Who organizes IBIE?

The American Bakers Association (ABA) and the Bakery Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA) own IBIE, with support from the Retail Bakers of America (RBA). ABA and BEMA founded it in 1920 so bakers could meet suppliers, and the nonprofit expo returns all proceeds to the industry. Members of the three groups get priority space selection and discounted booth rates.

Before you sign with anyone

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for IBIE:

  1. Is every fee on the proposal, including what the show contractor bills?
  2. Who builds the booth: your own shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what is billed by the show?
  5. Where does the booth go after the show, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? We refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it and store it between shows. You keep the structure you paid for.

Exhibiting from outside the US? We are your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, with one project manager answering your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A rental with your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. We tell you on the first call what is realistic for your date.
