Launch first on the East Coast: New York Restaurant Show 2027 booths at Javits
Restaurant Events bills it as the first major East Coast restaurant show of the year, so chefs, owners and buyers come to taste, run and price what is new. We build compact counters that sample and cook in front of them. At the Javits we file Freeman orders, book the marshaling-facility dock call and keep crates light for weight-billed drayage.

What makes New York Restaurant Show different, and how we build for it
Restaurant Events calls the New York Restaurant Show the first major East Coast event of the calendar year and the best place to launch, and the industry-only floor backs that up: the 33rd edition in 2026 sold out at 467 booths and grew attendance 4%. The New York State Restaurant Association's Hospitality HQ: Learn, Grow and Lead sessions and the NYC Hospitality Alliance's State of the Industry Conference draw owners off the floor, chefs cook in the Culinary Innovation Theater and attendees vote in the Operators' Choice Awards. The Pizza Tomorrow Summit Pavilion debuts in 2027 with U.S. Pizza Team contests for a market of 1,400+ five-borough pizzerias, and Coffee Fest New York runs side by side.
Full-service restaurants and bars make up 48% of the audience, and their owners and chefs want to taste the product, watch the equipment cook and get a price and delivery answer before they walk on.
Non-restaurant foodservice makes up 20% of the audience, and the organizer listed Sodexo USA, Aramark and New York University among early 2026 registrants; these buyers ask for volume pricing, spec sheets, allergen data and take-out packaging that travels.
Drawn by the new Pizza Tomorrow Summit Pavilion, they judge deck ovens, mixers, flour and cheese by results: a pie out of the oven, a dough ball they can stretch and a cost per slice.

Rules that shape your booth
Sampling is limited to the manufacturer or distributor of the food product, and portions stay at sample size. We build a portion station behind the counter with hot and cold holding, plus a pass ledge at the aisle where a chef tastes and talks price.
Inline and corner booths include an 8-foot back drape and a 3-foot side drape wherever they border a neighbor. We print a back wall that covers the drape completely and keep counters near the side line low, so neither neighbor loses the aisle view.
Space excludes carpet, tables, chairs and electricity, which exhibitors bring or rent from official contractors, and material handling for crates moved dock to booth may be billed. We ship flooring and counters in our own crates and order power for every appliance early.
The show is closed to the public; children enter only with a parent, guardian or chaperone aged 21 or older, and anyone 15 or older needs a badge. We keep slicers, knives and hot oven doors behind the counter line, out of reach from the aisle.
Programs worth planning for
New for 2027: a show-floor destination for pizzeria and Italian restaurant suppliers, with product showcases, live demonstrations and U.S. Pizza Team contests in freestyle dough acrobatics, fastest pie making, box folding and signature pizza.
Attendees vote for the most innovative new products across restaurant supplies, food, ingredients, technology, equipment and packaging; in 2026 Oregon Fruit Co won with its Real Fruit Refreshers.
Free for booked exhibitors with payments current: a custom promo code and co-branded graphic that gives your customers and prospects a free attendee badge, a $99 value each, and can earn credit toward booth costs.
A $1,550 exhibitor package with one lead retrieval app activation, one post-show email to attendees you did not scan (10 available, send dates first come, first served) and your logo on the hall-entrance featured exhibitor sign.

04 Designing for restaurant food, beverage, equipment and technology suppliers at New York Restaurant Show
Four things we get right for New York Restaurant Show exhibitors
1Weigh every crate for the Javits
Teamsters move all Javits freight from the dock to your booth, billed by weight. Purple's 2026–2027 Javits planning figures put that near $195 per hundred pounds with a 200-pound minimum, plus 25 to 35 percent for late or uncrated freight. We frame counters in aluminum, print walls on fabric and crate every piece.
2Portion for owners, not crowds
The organizer's booth-rate page states the sampling rule: only the manufacturer or distributor of a food product samples it, and only at sample size. We plan a portion station with hot and cold holding, handwashing and waste behind the counter, and a pass ledge at the aisle, so a chef tastes first and then talks yield and case price.
3Bring the deck oven to Pizza Tomorrow
Inside the new Pizza Tomorrow Summit Pavilion, operators from a market of 1,400+ five-borough pizzerias judge a pie by its crust. We frame a dough bench at stretching height, set the oven back from the aisle with heat clearance, and order its electrical service early so the first pie bakes at 10 a.m. on March 7.
Stage the launch for March
The organizer calls this the first major East Coast show of the year and the place to launch, and attendees vote new products into the Operators' Choice Awards. We give the new item its own lit plinth at eye level, with the spec card and opening price beside it, set apart from the core range.

Logistics for New York Restaurant Show 2027, handled
The Javits is a union building with tight self-setup limits: full-time staff may assemble a display of 250 square feet or less by hand, using no tools or ladders, and anything bigger is carpenter work. Teamsters bring every crate from the dock, electricians connect ovens and lit signs, and riggers hang signs from fixed points in the space frame. Freeman handles booth services from furniture to shipping, while the Javits Center itself sells catering and internet. Trucks queue in the four-level marshaling facility until a dock is called. We act as your exhibitor-appointed contractor, place the Freeman orders, label each crate with hall and booth number, and truck the booth down from Fishkill, 70 miles up the Hudson.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Javits Center exhibitor guide.
Hall guide
The New York Restaurant Show and Coffee Fest New York share the Javits side by side. Here is how the halls and docks this stacked building uses shape a restaurant booth, from ceiling height to freight.
The Javits main floor under the space frame: about half a million contiguous square feet, a clear height near 30 feet and a 90-foot column grid.
Our advice: There is room for a tall back wall over a cook line, and any hanging sign must land on a rigging node, so we draw it to the point map first.
The lower block, roughly 250,000 square feet, has less headroom than Level 3, and its docks open directly onto the floor.
Our advice: If your contract places you here, we size headers and signs to the ceiling and use the quicker freight path during targeted move-in.
Since the 2021 expansion, trucks check in at an indoor, four-level marshaling facility and wait there for a dock call before unloading.
Our advice: We book carriers into your targeted slot and mark each crate with show name, hall and booth number for the Teamsters who deliver it.

New York Restaurant Show exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before New York Restaurant Show
How much does a booth at the New York Restaurant Show 2027 cost?
Start with the inline tier, because space sells in 100-square-foot blocks: a rented 10×20 carrying your graphics and a sampling counter costs $7,500 to $15,000. Restaurant Events' current published rate for the space itself is $45.50 per square foot. At the Javits, union labor, weight-billed freight and power for live ovens move the total most.
When do we need to book and approve a New York Restaurant Show 2027 booth?
Book space first: the 2026 floor sold out, and Restaurant Events returns an online booth contract once your sales rep has your company name, billing address and preferred booth. Approve a custom design with us by mid-December 2026, since production runs from January to mid-February and every counter has to be built, test-fitted and crated before the early-March move-in.
Can we rent a booth for the New York Restaurant Show, and what does it include?
Yes. A rental covers the frame, fabric graphics sized over the 8-foot back drape, lighting, a sampling or demo counter, freight, Freeman paperwork, union installation and dismantle on one fixed proposal. Carpet, tables, chairs and power sit outside the organizer's space price, so we add flooring and furniture to the rental instead of leaving them to rent onsite.
Can our own staff set up our booth at the Javits Center?
Only a small one. Javits rules let full-time employees assemble a display of 250 square feet or less by hand, with no tools or ladders. A pop-up 10×10 counter can qualify; a booth with an oven, shelving or a lit header goes to the carpenters and electricians. We register as your exhibitor-appointed contractor and run that union crew.
Can we sample food and drinks at the New York Restaurant Show?
You can sample what you make or distribute, in sample-size portions; the organizer's booth-rate page spells out that rule for food and beverage. Food beyond samples, such as a client reception, is ordered from the Javits Center, which sells catering to exhibitors directly. We design the portion station, holding equipment and waste handling so your team serves quickly and the aisle stays clear.
What does drayage cost at the Javits Center, and who pays it?
Material handling, the fee for hauling crates between the dock and your booth both ways, is billed on top of space. Purple's Javits planning figures for 2026 and 2027 put it near $195 for each 100 pounds, bill every shipment as at least 200 pounds, and add 25 to 35 percent for late, off-target or uncrated freight. We weigh every crate and print the estimate on your proposal.
Is the Pizza Tomorrow Summit Pavilion a fit for pizza equipment and ingredient brands?
It is new for 2027 and aimed squarely at those buyers: pizzeria and Italian restaurant operators from a tri-state market with 1,400+ pizzerias in the five boroughs. The U.S. Pizza Team runs dough acrobatics, fastest pie and box folding contests inside it. We build oven surrounds and dough benches sized to the pavilion footprint you book.
Can we reuse our New York Restaurant Show booth at other shows?
Restaurant Events also runs the California Restaurant Show in Anaheim and the Florida Restaurant Show in Orlando, and a booth built on an aluminum frame travels to both, or back to the Javits for the Summer Fancy Food Show. We store it in Fishkill between shows, rework the counter for each floor's rules and reprint graphics for each audience.
Do you handle Freeman orders, power and carpet for the show?
We do. Freeman runs booth services from furniture to shipping, and the organizer notes that finalizing early at online pricing can save up to 30% of total exhibiting costs. We place your carpet, furniture, labor and freight orders in the Freeman portal at those rates, order power through the electrical contractor, and send you one sheet listing every charge.
When is the New York Restaurant Show 2027?
The New York Restaurant Show 2027 runs Sunday, March 7 to Tuesday, March 9, at the Javits Center. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, and badge pickup opens at 8:30 a.m. For a custom booth, we work back from that Sunday opening to design sign-off by mid-December 2026.
Where is the New York Restaurant Show 2027 held?
At the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Manhattan's West Side. The organizer sends subway riders to the 7 train, which stops at 34th Street and 11th Avenue steps from the building, and drivers to the Hudson Crossing Garage at 404 West 37th Street. The 2027 floor plan is already online, so we draw to your exact booth position.
How many people attend the New York Restaurant Show?
Restaurant Events counted over 9,000 restaurant professionals and 280+ exhibiting companies at the March 2025 show. In 2026 attendance grew 4% and the exhibit hall sold out at 467 booths. The 2024 edition, where the new name was unveiled, posted a 29% jump in buyer attendance with 220+ exhibiting companies.
Is the New York Restaurant Show open to the public?
No. It is an industry-only event for restaurant and foodservice professionals. Minors may walk the floor during show hours only beside a parent, guardian or chaperone who is at least 21, and anyone from age 15 up needs a badge. Students register at $30 each, in groups of five with a faculty member or chaperone, up to 10 per school.
Who organizes the New York Restaurant Show?
Restaurant Events, LLC owns and produces the show, with the New York State Restaurant Association and the NYC Hospitality Alliance as association partners. Restaurant Events bought it from Clarion Events in May 2023, when it was the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York, and runs the California Restaurant Show, the Florida Restaurant Show and the Pizza Tomorrow Summit.
