Start with the problem: Food Production Solutions Show 2027 booths, Chicago
The FPSS floor is sorted by problem, not product, so your booth must answer one Solution Zone question at a glance and prove it with a working machine, test or service. McCormick Place lets employees with six months of full-time service assemble machinery in any size booth, and our project manager runs the rest.

What makes Food Production Solutions Show different, and how we build for it
Messe Frankfurt Inc. and FPSA, the partners behind EATS at McCormick Place in October 2025, launched FPSS as a new show built around the manufacturer’s path instead of product categories.Exhibitors are grouped into four Solution Zones: Product Development & Planning, Regulatory & Compliance, Production & Facilities, and Operations & Scaling. Each zone gets its own Solutions-Based Education Theatre and Collaboration Lab, the Mergers & Acquisition Exchange pairs operators with investors, and Manufacturer Meet-Ups gather bakery, beverage, dairy, frozen and prepared foods peers. FPSA pitches the show to startups preparing first production runs and to established plants expanding, so one booth can meet a founder and a capital projects manager in the same hour.
A clear route from pilot batch to first commercial run: co-packing capacity, small-batch equipment, formulation and funding advice, and a supplier who states minimums and lead times in plain numbers.
Equipment they can watch running, sanitary design they can inspect up close, utility and footprint specs on paper, and a seat to talk throughput, OEE, downtime and installation schedules.
Audit readiness, label and claims review, traceability and recall planning, testing labs and inspection equipment, with evidence the solution holds up in an SQF or customer audit.
Your team in Chicago
Two shops, one project manager, every hall
We build in our own production shop in Fishkill, NY, and our Las Vegas hub, ship to McCormick Place, and install with our own project manager on the floor and vetted local labor. Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA.
Your team walks into a lit, stocked booth. You just show up.
Inside Food Production Solutions Show 2027
Rules that shape your booth
FPSA members pay $31.50 per square foot and non-members $38.00, plus corner and administrative fees, and companies that cannot qualify for membership contact the sales team. We size your footprint against both rates before you sign.
The prospectus sets drayage at $4.75 per square foot beside the space rates, optional only for booths under 200 sq ft. We plan crates, machine skids and the advance-warehouse date around that rate rather than a weight estimate.
The FPSS floor is organized into four Solution Zones, and the prospectus asks exhibitors to identify their zone as they reserve space. We write the booth header and graphics for that zone’s buyers, from food safety directors to automation engineers.
McCormick Place’s Exhibitor Bill of Rights (July 2026) lets anyone employed full time for at least 6 months before opening day assemble machinery and exhibits in a booth of any size, and bars forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts and motorized dollies. We plan skids for non-motorized hand trucks.
Exhibitor sales open later in 2026, and companies that submit an Intent to Exhibit form receive priority consideration. We help you settle zone and footprint early, so concept drawings are ready when Messe Frankfurt Inc. assigns space.
Programs worth planning for
One theatre in each Solution Zone, with practical sessions led by industry experts and solution providers on processing, automation, food safety, packaging and supply chain; key associations are invited to host.
Facilitated small-group sessions inside every Solution Zone, where food manufacturers, solution providers and industry experts work through real operational challenges and leave with strategies they can apply at once.
A curated networking program connecting food manufacturers planning to expand, operators considering a sale, and investors or strategic partners hunting opportunities in food manufacturing.
Peer sessions organized by production segment, including bakery, beverage, dairy, frozen and prepared foods, where operators compare shared challenges; worth tracking if you sell into one category.
FPSS is the Chicago show for suppliers who help food makers scale from formulation to plant floor; choose it over IFT FIRST when you sell equipment, compliance or co-packing to processors rather than ingredients to R&D teams. Compare every food and beverage show we build for →

Popular booth sizes at Food Production Solutions Show
FPSS sells floor space by the square foot, so the footprint follows what you demonstrate. We recommend a 10×20 for a testing lab, consultancy or software firm, a 20×20 island when a processing or packaging module runs live, and 20×30 or more for connected modules plus a closed meeting room.

A benchtop mixer, metal detector or traceability dashboard on a demo counter, a spec wall written for your zone and a two-seat table for founders.

KLEEMANN at a industrial technology exhibition
An interactive booth for a global elevator manufacturer: digital simulations, real product showcases and a floor plan that guided visitors from first step to last.
Different buyers, same job: KLEEMANN paired real product with digital simulations along a guided route, the way an FPSS booth leads a processor from problem to working equipment.

04 Designing for food processing equipment, automation, packaging, compliance and co-manufacturing suppliers at Food Production Solutions Show
Four things we get right for Food Production Solutions Show exhibitors
1Name the zone's problem first
The FPSS floor is organized around four challenges, so your header should read like the visitor’s question: line bottlenecks in Production & Facilities, audit readiness in Regulatory & Compliance, OEE and labor in Operations & Scaling. We set that line high enough to read from the aisle, then put the answer and spec sheets at hand height.
Show where the machine sits
Messe Frankfurt Inc. lists production line demonstrations among the FPSS features, so visitors arrive thinking in whole lines rather than single machines. We print the upstream and downstream steps around your machine, open its sanitary design to view and plan power and compressed air before the crates leave Fishkill.
Two depths for two buyers
FPSA courts startups facing their first production run and established plants adding capacity to the same FPSS aisles. We give founders a front counter with pilot-scale samples, minimums and lead times, and give engineers a rear demo zone with full-scale equipment and OEE data, so neither conversation crowds the other.
Leave a door for capital talks
The Mergers & Acquisition Exchange brings operators weighing a sale together with investors and strategic buyers, and capital projects managers walk every zone. We build a closed meeting room into islands, or set a screened table off the aisle in an inline, so valuations, budgets and plant timelines stay private.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this

Logistics for Food Production Solutions Show 2027, handled
McCormick Place is four connected buildings, North, South, West and Lakeside Center, and each has its own dock, so we label every crate with building, hall and booth number. The venue’s Exhibitor Bill of Rights, dated July 2026, lets anyone employed full time for six months before opening day assemble machinery and plug in equipment in a booth of any size with their own hand and power tools, but bars exhibitors from forklifts, pallet jacks and scissor lifts. Dock-to-booth freight stays Teamster work. We ship to the advance warehouse, place utility orders and install with our own project manager. Skywalks tie the Marriott Marquis Chicago and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place to the campus, so technicians never step outside.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our McCormick Place exhibitor guide.
Hall guide
McCormick Place spreads exhibits across four linked buildings, each with its own docks and hotel links. Here is what each McCormick Place building means for crated machines, freight routing and an early-start install crew.
About 700,000 sq ft of exhibit space, opened in 1986, with docks on the north side; often the first hall filled when a large show takes the campus.
Our advice: When a show lands here, we address every crate to the north docks with hall and booth number, so a skidded machine never wanders across the campus.
About 840,000 sq ft across two levels, opened in 1997, with docks on both levels; it hosts IMTS and PACK EXPO.
Our advice: We pin down the level of your hall before routing trucks, because a heavy skid sent to the wrong dock level costs hours on move-in day.
About 470,000 sq ft, opened in 2007, joined to the South Building by a bridge over King Drive and, through an enclosed walkway, to the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place.
Our advice: Technicians staying at the Hyatt walk indoors to the floor, which helps when machines need a test run before the 10 a.m. opening.
583,000 sq ft rebuilt after the 1967 fire and reopened in 1971, with a glass curtain wall facing the lake and the 4,249-seat Arie Crown Theater.
Our advice: If your hall is here, freight goes to this building's own dock, and the lake-side glass makes a strong setting for a client reception after the 5 p.m. close.

Food Production Solutions Show exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before Food Production Solutions Show
How much does a booth at the Food Production Solutions Show 2027 cost?
For one machine or one service line, we start at a 10×20: $7,500 to $15,000 as a rental build or $15,000 to $45,000 custom, rising to $50,000 to $120,000 for a custom 20×20 island running equipment. Plinths, guarding and compressed air move the price most here. Space is extra: a 10×20 costs $6,300 at the FPSA member rate or $7,600 at $38.00 per sq ft, plus $950 drayage.
When can we book space at the Food Production Solutions Show?
Messe Frankfurt Inc. opens exhibitor sales later in 2026, and companies that file the Intent to Exhibit form get priority consideration. Pick your Solution Zone when you sign, because it sets your neighbors and your nearest theatre. On our side, approving the design by mid-August 2027 leaves room for a 30- to 45-day build and an on-time arrival at the advance warehouse.
Can we rent a booth for FPSS, and what does a rental include?
An FPSS rental is drawn around what you bring: a back wall printed for your Solution Zone, lighting, a demo counter sized to your benchtop unit or laptop, and a plinth with guard rail when a machine runs. Freight to the advance warehouse, installation, dismantle and return trucking sit on one fixed proposal, and the frame comes back to us after October 28.
Can our own technicians set up machinery at McCormick Place?
Yes, if each has worked for you full time for at least six months before October 26, 2027. McCormick Place’s Exhibitor Bill of Rights, dated July 2026, lets them assemble machinery, install graphics and plug in equipment in any size booth with their own tools. Forklifts, pallet jacks and scissor lifts stay banned, a W-2 or payroll record may be requested, and the right never passes to contractors.
How does drayage work at the Food Production Solutions Show?
The FPSS prospectus prices drayage at $4.75 per square foot, so a 20×20 island carries $1,900 and a 10×20 carries $950, with corner and administrative fees on top. Booths under 200 sq ft may opt out. Even at a flat rate, we pack machines into few, clearly labeled crates so the dock can skid them to your booth in one pass.
Which Solution Zone should our company exhibit in?
Choose by the buyer's problem you solve. Formulation, ingredients, pilot plants and funding advice belong in Product Development & Planning; testing labs, certifications and traceability software in Regulatory & Compliance; processing equipment, plant engineering and co-packing in Production & Facilities; packaging, automation, logistics and data tools in Operations & Scaling. Each zone runs its own theatre and Collaboration Lab.
Can we run a live demo or join a production line at FPSS?
FPSS plans production line demonstrations where equipment, software and service suppliers tackle labor, throughput and food safety problems together. For EATS in 2025, the organizers named Epstein, Dennis Group and Gray AES to manage its three lines. For a demo inside your own booth, we build the guarded plinth, route power and compressed air under the floor and keep moving parts back from the aisle.
Do we need to be an FPSA member to exhibit?
No. Non-members pay $38.00 per square foot against $31.50 for FPSA members, a gap of $2,600 on a 20×20, and the organizer asks companies that cannot qualify for membership to contact its sales team. If you plan a large island, weigh the membership dues against that saving before you sign for space.
Can we reuse our FPSS booth at other shows?
We build FPSS booths as modules, so the plinths, zone graphics and demo counters can reappear at IPPE in Atlanta the following January or at the next IFT FIRST. Between shows we keep the kit in storage, reprint graphics for each audience and send it on to the next venue's warehouse.
When is the Food Production Solutions Show 2027?
FPSS 2027 runs Tuesday, October 26 to Thursday, October 28, 2027, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Each day opens at 10 a.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday close at 5 p.m. and Thursday at 3 p.m. It is the show’s first edition, and attendee registration opens in mid-2027.
Where is the Food Production Solutions Show 2027 held?
At McCormick Place, 2301 S King Dr on Chicago’s lakefront, a campus of four connected buildings: North, South, West and Lakeside Center. Two hotels, Marriott Marquis Chicago and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, connect directly to the convention center, and Choose Chicago puts Midway (MDW) 10 miles and O’Hare (ORD) 17 miles from downtown.
How many people attend the Food Production Solutions Show?
October 2027 is the first Food Production Solutions Show, so it has no attendance record of its own. The organizers’ 2025 Chicago show, EATS, was advertised with more than 300 exhibiting companies, and the FPSS attend page promises visitors hundreds of suppliers and service providers over three days.
Who organizes the Food Production Solutions Show?
Messe Frankfurt Inc. announced FPSS on July 15, 2026 and organizes it with the Food Production Solutions Association (FPSA), whose member companies book space at $31.50 per square foot. In Frankfurt, Messe Frankfurt runs IFFA, the fair it names first when describing the experience behind this new Chicago show.
