ASLA + IFLA World Conference 2027Booth costs, dates and deadlines: the Chicago exhibitor guide

The ASLA + IFLA 2027 World Conference on Landscape Architecture runs September 21 to 24, 2027, in Chicago. The EXPO is open Wednesday, September 22 and Thursday, September 23. Chicago EXPO hours are not confirmed yet. For reference, the 2026 Los Angeles floor opened at 9:30 a.m. each morning.

At McCormick Place in Chicago, the four-building convention campus south of the Loop. ASLA has not named which McCormick building the EXPO will use. The 2026 conference was at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and 2025 was in New Orleans.

In 2027 the American Society of Landscape Architects hosts the International Federation of Landscape Architects in a joint world conference, so the Chicago meeting adds an international audience and an International Pavilion developed with IFLA on the EXPO floor.

In 2026 ASLA charged $41.00 per square foot, or $38.50 early bird: $4,100 for a 10×10 and $8,200 for a 10×20, plus $525 per corner, $770 for an endcap or $1,050 for an island. The 2027 rates are not confirmed yet. Our 10×20 rentals run $7,500 to $15,000 on top.

ASLA counted 6,300+ attendees and 340 exhibitors at its 2026 conference in Los Angeles, with 71 first-time exhibitors and more than 120 education sessions. ASLA's 2026 prospectus reports that 95% of surveyed attendees visited the EXPO.

Makers of site furnishings, pavers and hardscape, play equipment, shade structures, landscape lighting, plants and nursery stock, irrigation and design software. Their buyers are landscape architects who specify products into construction documents, so exhibitors bring detail drawings and project photos as much as product.

In 2026 each 10×10 came with one full conference registration and two booth staff registrations, an app listing, Exhibitor Lounge access, unlimited guest passes for clients (a $145+ value each) and two attendee contact lists, one 30 days before the conference and one 30 days after.

In 2025 ASLA required a booth plan for any booth over 100 square feet, an approved insurance certificate before booth staff or hotel rooms could be booked, food and drink only from the convention center caterer, and entertainment limited to the evening block party hour.

We rent ASLA booths from a 10×20 up: frame, printed landscape graphics, counters, lighting and a reinforced sample deck that carries pavers or decking. Install, load-out and contractor service orders go on one fixed proposal, and your heavy product ships with the rental.

People on your payroll may assemble an exhibit of any footprint at McCormick Place with tools they bring, a right in place since Illinois's 2010 reforms. Teamsters still move every crate from the dock to your booth and bill by weight, so we stage heavy samples on pallets.

Learning Labs are short sessions run by exhibiting companies on the EXPO floor, where attendees earn PDH credit. The program is limited, so we suggest booking it alongside your booth and designing graphics that carry the lab's key images.

ASLA books exhibitor rooms through its official housing partner, Maritz in 2025, from each company's registration dashboard, and only after the insurance certificate is approved. The 2027 Chicago hotel block is not confirmed yet; McCormick Place connects by skywalk to the Hyatt Regency and Marriott Marquis.

When landscape architects specify your category, it is the single largest gathering of them, and ASLA's 2026 prospectus says 62% plan to purchase or specify EXPO products within a year. The floor is open only two days, so a booth built for touch and fast spec questions pays off.

The same frame and sample deck travel to The Landscape Show in Orlando in August or Nursery/Landscape EXPO in Houston, and the design-led version suits Greenbuild at McCormick Place in October. We store the kit and swap graphics between shows.
