Classroom-ready furniture booths for EDspaces 2027 in New Orleans

We build EDspaces booths as working learning spaces: movable seating, acoustic panels and lighting that a school planner can sit in and rearrange. EDspaces caps floor structures at 16 feet and keeps hanging signs off inline booths, so height goes where it counts.

What makes EDspaces different, and how we build for it

EDspaces is the education market's own buying event, founded and sponsored by EDmarket, the Education Market Association, and produced with Emerald. It joins the people who plan, design and furnish K-12 and campus buildings with the makers of furniture, flooring, acoustics, lighting and technology for learning spaces. The conference side runs EDsessions with AIA, IDCEC and GBCI credit, EDfacility Tours in the host city, and a Call for Learning Spaces that shows built work. After Columbus in 2025 and Kansas City in 2026, EDspaces moves to New Orleans for October 27–29, 2027. Booths here are judged as rooms a student could use.

School district and campus facility planners

Durable, flexible furniture and finishes priced for a bond-funded project, with warranty terms and delivery windows that fit the summer install season.

Architects and interior designers

Product data, finish samples and acoustic and lighting performance they can specify, plus CE credit for the hours they spend learning.

Furniture dealers and education leaders

Complete classroom, library and commons settings they can picture in their own buildings, and a rep who can quote a full room.

Your team in New Orleans

One project manager, two shops, the whole EDspaces build

For EDspaces, we build in our own shop in Fishkill, NY, and at our Las Vegas hub, ship to New Orleans, and put our own project manager on the floor with vetted local labor for the install. Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA.

Your staff walks onto the EDspaces floor and the booth is already lit and stocked. You just show up.

  1. Moves to New Orleans

The EDspaces 2027 exhibitor directory lists the show at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, October 27–29, 2027, after Kansas City in 2026. Freight and labor quotes from the 2026 Kansas City show do not carry over, so 2027 budgets start from Morial center rates. source

Rules that shape your EDspaces booth

Structures stop at 16 feet

EDspaces' 2025 manual permits floor-supported booth structures from the floor to a maximum of 16 feet. We keep room settings and backdrops under that line and use a hanging sign on island space for height.

Organizer rule

Hanging signs on islands only

Linear and inline booths may not hang signs; island signs reach 25 feet to the top, stay under 8 feet tall, are finished on all sides and clear the structure by 5 feet (2025 manual). We file the approval request in the exhibitor portal.

Organizer rule

Show management approves every sign

EDspaces must approve all hanging signs through the exhibitor portal, and the facility or general contractor hangs them; in 2024 custom suspended signs needed a stamped U.S. civil or structural engineer's certification. We supply the drawings and stamp.

Organizer rule

Priority points can be lost

EDspaces assigns space by priority points, one per year exhibiting up to nine, and its 2025 manual says rule violators lose points and may be excluded from future events. We build to the published limits so your history keeps counting.

Popular booth sizes at EDspaces

EDspaces sells space by the square foot from a 10×10, and furniture makers often build full room settings on islands. We recommend a 10×30 or 20×20 when you show a classroom or commons setting, and a 10×20 for flooring, acoustic or technology brands with samples and a demo.

04 Designing for education furniture, flooring, acoustics, lighting and learning-space brands at EDspaces

Four things we get right for EDspaces exhibitors

Two hands passing a dark finish chip over fanned paint and laminate sample cards1

Build a room, not a display

EDspaces buyers picture students in the furniture. We set a booth as a working classroom or commons, with power to the tables, real writable surfaces and a layout visitors can rearrange, so a planner sees how the room changes between lessons.

Four design professionals marking up a large floor plan around a table with a tablet2

Acoustics people can hear

Learning-space buyers ask about noise as often as finish. We build a partly enclosed corner with your acoustic panels or ceiling baffles so a designer can step in and hear the difference from the aisle, without blocking sight lines.

Designer pointing at a layout plan spread on a table beside a tablet and photos3

Height under EDspaces' limits

EDspaces' 2025 manual caps floor-supported structures at 16 feet and allows hanging signs only over island space, up to 25 feet with five feet of clearance. We keep the structure low and put the brand on the hanging sign.

Empty classroom with a kidney-shaped table, small chairs and teal doors in warm daylight4

CE seekers on the floor

Architects and designers come for AIA LU/HSW and IDCEC credit. We add a short presentation spot with seating so your design team can repeat a talk on a recent school project, the kind of built work EDspaces features.

05 New Orleans, LA

Logistics for EDspaces 2027, handled

EDspaces names New Orleans for October 27–29, 2027, but has not published the 2027 venue building, contractor or move-in schedule, so we plan from the city outward and lock details as EDspaces releases the 2027 exhibitor manual. At recent shows Freeman ran the floor, all overhead hanging was done by the general contractor or the facility, and custom suspended signs needed stamped engineering. We design the booth to EDspaces' standing rules, plan freight for New Orleans and run install and dismantle with our own project manager and vetted local labor.

What Purple handles

  • Room settings built around your furniture, flooring and acoustic products
  • Hanging sign approval request and engineering for island booths
  • Freight consolidation for furniture samples to New Orleans
  • Graphics and structure built in Fishkill, NY
  • Our project manager in New Orleans from the first crate to pack-out

Your EDspaces timeline, from move-in back

For EDspaces, we need design sign-off by July 2027.

  1. When EDspaces opens 2027 booth assignmentsBooth selection by priority points; send us your booth number and footprint.
  2. July 2027Design sign-off on room settings, acoustic elements and any hanging sign request.
  3. August 2027Production in Fishkill, NY over 30 to 45 days; furniture samples consolidated for shipping.
  4. Late September 2027Freight to the 2027 general contractor's advance warehouse per the exhibitor manual.
  5. Days before October 27, 2027Move-in with our project manager in New Orleans.
  6. October 27–29, 2027Show days, then dismantle and freight out or storage for your next education show.

Purple's planning timeline for EDspaces. Move-in, freight target and order deadlines are set by the EDspaces exhibitor kit and your assigned schedule; we confirm them for your booth once you book.

EDspaces exhibitor questions

Questions exhibitors ask us before EDspaces

When is EDspaces 2027?

EDspaces 2027 runs October 27 to 29, 2027 in New Orleans. Expo floor times for 2027 are not confirmed yet. The edition before New Orleans was set for October 28 to 30, 2026 at the Kansas City Convention Center.

Where is EDspaces 2027 held?

EDspaces has announced New Orleans for 2027, but the venue building is not confirmed yet. The show moves city each year: Columbus in 2025, Kansas City in 2026, New Orleans in 2027. We plan your freight and labor as soon as EDspaces names the hall.

How much does a booth at EDspaces cost?

EDspaces lists 2026 space at $31.95 per square foot for EDmarket members and $42.95 for non-members, so a member 10×20 is about $6,390 in space before corner fees; 2027 rates are not confirmed yet. Our 10×20 rental adds $7,500 to $15,000, and a custom 20×20 room setting $50,000 to $120,000.

What is included with an EDspaces booth?

A standard 10×10 at the 2026 show came with the 100 square feet of space, an identification sign and two full conference exhibitor-only registrations. Island booths get no drape or ID sign, which can be ordered from Freeman at recent shows. Furniture, flooring and lighting are yours to bring.

How are EDspaces booths assigned?

EDspaces assigns booths through its Priority Point System, with one point for each year exhibiting up to nine. The Bulletin Essentials Package adds points at no cost, and the 2025 manual says rule violators lose priority points. The 2027 booth assignment schedule is not confirmed yet.

How tall can an EDspaces booth be?

EDspaces' 2025 manual allows floor-supported structures up to 16 feet. Hanging signs may reach 25 feet to the top, are capped at 8 feet tall, must be finished on all sides and need 5 feet of clearance above the structure. Linear and inline booths may not hang signs.

Who attends EDspaces?

School and campus facility planners, architects, interior designers, furniture dealers and education leaders, the people who plan and furnish K-12 and higher education buildings. EDspaces does not publish a 2027 attendance figure; architects and designers come partly for AIA and IDCEC continuing education.

Who organizes EDspaces?

EDmarket, the Education Market Association, is EDspaces' founding organization and primary sponsor, and produces the show in partnership with Emerald, volunteers and industry organizations. EDmarket members get member pricing on exhibit space and more than 50% off attendee registration.

Can attendees earn continuing education credit at EDspaces?

EDspaces offers accredited continuing education for AIA LU/HSW, IDCEC LU/HSW and GBCI. The 2025 show ran more than 60 accredited sessions across seven peer-led classrooms, and EDmarket reported more than 175 session submissions under review for 2026.

Can we hang a sign over our EDspaces booth?

Island booths can, with show management's approval through the exhibitor portal; inline and endcap booths cannot. At recent shows all overhead hanging was installed by the general contractor or facility, and custom suspended signs needed a stamped certification from a U.S. civil or structural engineer.

Can you build a classroom setting for EDspaces?

Room settings are what we build best for this show: we design the layout around your furniture line, add a backdrop, acoustic elements, lighting and a hidden power plan, consolidate your product samples for freight and install with our project manager, then store the set for your next education show.

Is EDspaces open to the public?

EDspaces is an industry conference and expo for the education market, with registration rates for educational institutions, exhibitors and other professionals rather than public tickets. Educational institution staff register through their own pricing page, and EDmarket members save on attendance.

What are the EDspaces payment terms?

For 2026, EDspaces required 65% of the booth space cost with the contract and 100% by July 17, 2026. The 2027 payment schedule is not confirmed yet; we set your build calendar so the booth is ready whatever date EDspaces publishes.

Before you sign for EDspaces

Five questions to ask any exhibit builder for EDspaces:

  1. Will the proposal show every EDspaces fee, including show contractor charges?
  2. Who actually builds it for EDspaces: your shop or a subcontractor?
  3. Will your project manager be on the floor at New Orleans for install and dismantle?
  4. What exactly is in the rental, and what does EDspaces bill?
  5. Where does the booth go after EDspaces, and what does storage cost?

Common situations

Already own a booth? Bring it: we refresh the graphics, repair what is worn, ship it, install it at EDspaces and store it until the next show. You keep the structure you paid for and bring it to EDspaces.

Exhibiting from outside the US? For EDspaces, we act as your team on the ground: freight to the advance warehouse, show-service orders, installation and storage, and one project manager who answers your emails in your time zone.

Short on time? A EDspaces rental carrying your graphics can be ready in two to three weeks. On the first call, we tell you what is realistic for EDspaces.
