World Workplace is the International Facility Management Association's annual conference and expo, the meeting where IFMA members earn credentials, hear keynotes and see the products that run their buildings.The expo is short and dense: IFMA scheduled the 2026 floor in Anaheim's Exhibit Halls A and B for one afternoon and one morning. Rules that shape your IFMA World Workplace booth
The rear half of a linear booth may reach 8 feet; the half nearest the aisle stops at 4, and sight lines must stay open (2026 rules). We draw the booth diagram IFMA encourages and keep tall elements on the backwall.
IFMA requires carpet or approved flooring over the entire booth, with no partial coverage, and finished exposed surfaces on backdrops and side dividers (2026 rules). We include full flooring and finish both sides of every panel.
Exhibitor Appointed Contractors need IFMA's prior written approval and proof of liability insurance, and for 2026 Freeman was named the exclusive provider of material handling and installation labor. We file our approval request and insurance early.
Packing up before the close costs a $500 fine, the post-show attendee list and added fees for next year, and anything left after move-out is discarded at your expense (2026 rules). We book teardown labor to start only when the expo closes.

1Front half stays at 4 feet
Anything taller than 4 feet must sit in the back half of a linear World Workplace booth, which tops out at 8, and displays may not block neighbors' sight lines. We put graphics and screens on the backwall and keep counters and product low at the aisle.
2Two short expo blocks
IFMA set the 2026 expo for 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one and 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on day two, under ten hours in all. We design for quick reads from the aisle and a counter where a facility manager can book a follow-up call in a minute.

For 2026 Freeman was named the exclusive provider of material handling and installation labor, an outside builder needs IFMA's prior written approval and insurance, hand-carry was one person, one trip, and work over an hour called for union decorating labor. World Workplace 2027 runs October 13 to 15, 2027 in Kansas City, Missouri. The 2027 expo hours are not confirmed yet. The 2026 edition was set for November 18 to 20 in Anaheim, with the expo on November 18 and 19.
Where is World Workplace 2027 held?
IFMA lists Kansas City, Missouri for 2027; which Kansas City hall it uses is not confirmed yet. Future editions are set for Columbus, Ohio, October 25 to 27, 2028 and Orlando, Florida, October 10 to 12, 2029. We plan freight and labor once IFMA names the hall.
How much does a booth at World Workplace cost?
IFMA's 2026 booth fees started at $4,500 per 10×10, plus $150 per aisle corner, so a 10×20 inline starts at $9,000 in space; the 2027 price list is not confirmed yet. On top of space, a Purple 10×20 rental adds $7,500 to $15,000, and a custom 20×20 island $50,000 to $120,000, with the general contractor billing services.
What is included with a World Workplace booth?
In 2026 each 10×10 included two booth staff, two full event registrations, 10% off more registrations, an online profile with logo, a post-show mailing list without emails or phone numbers and complimentary guest expo passes. Linear space also gets back and side drape plus a booth ID sign; islands get no drape.
What are the World Workplace expo hours?
The 2027 expo hours are not confirmed yet. IFMA set the 2026 Anaheim expo for Wednesday, November 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, November 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with move-out from 2:30 p.m. that Thursday and the building cleared by 10 p.m.
