IPC APEX EXPO 2027 booth design & build in Anaheim
Custom and rental exhibits for PCB fabricators, EMS providers and equipment makers, built so an engineer can watch the board go in, the process run and the inspection result come out. Machine envelopes, camera-ready lighting and Anaheim drayage handled by Purple's Southern California crew.

What makes IPC APEX EXPO different, and how we build for it
IPC APEX EXPO is where the Global Electronics Association puts the whole electronics build chain in one hall: PCB fabricators, EMS providers, OEMs and the equipment, materials and test companies that serve them. The 2026 floor at the Anaheim Convention Center sold out at 416 exhibitors and carried more than 150 product launches. Around the exhibits sit the Advanced Electronic Packaging Conference, the EMS Leadership Summit and live smart-factory demonstrations built on IPC CFX and Hermes data, so the engineers who reach your booth arrive mid-argument about a real process problem. A booth that shows the machine, the board and the inspection result in one line of sight wins those conversations.
An annotated sample beside the machine that made it, a fixed inspection camera with consistent magnification, and a labeled comparison board they can examine without stopping the demo.
A discussion surface off the demo line for installation interfaces, operator training and support scope, with a laptop, drawings and a place to record the open technical question.
A short headline naming the production stage you serve, samples grouped by application rather than model number, and staff who can route them to the right specialist fast.
Purple in Anaheim
Local crew, national shop
Purple builds in Fishkill, NY and Las Vegas, NV, ships to every hall in the United States and installs on site with our own project manager and local labor. For Anaheim we book freight targets, coordinate the general contractor and run a pre-show QA so your team can just show up.
Predictable 30–45-day turnarounds, secure storage and pre-show QA. Your booth ships from our production shop in Fishkill, NY or our Las Vegas hub, and our project manager is on the floor for install and dismantle.

Booth options for IPC APEX EXPO 2027
Pick a footprint. We’ll price it as a rental, a custom build, or a hybrid.
The APEX floor runs from 10×10 supplier inlines to islands built around assembly lines and inspection systems. Inlines cap at 8 feet 3 inches with no hanging signs, so islands own the sightlines at 20 feet. Most Purple clients choose a 10×20 with a live demo or a 20×30 island with a machine, an inspection counter and a meeting table.

One instrument or materials family on the backwall, a compact sample fixture and a single demo position with the operator's reset path kept clear.

A live equipment demo at one end, a board inspection counter at the other, matching process labels tying them together and staff storage behind the samples.
See 10×20 rental booths →
An island under a 20-foot hanging sign with a machine inside its protected envelope, a magnified inspection station and an open meeting table.
See 20×20 rental booths →
Several production stages in sequence, from preparation to assembly to verification, with a technical meeting room at the edge and a camera feed over the enclosed action.
See 20×30 rental booths →All-in 2026 ranges for design, structure, graphics, installation and dismantle; booth space, drayage and show services are separate. A custom-built booth runs roughly $100 to $250 per square foot depending on finish level. A rental of the same footprint usually lands at 35 to 50 percent of the purchase price for one show. Send the show, your booth size and what the space needs to do. We return a fixed proposal, usually within two business days.

Designing for electronics manufacturing, PCB and EMS suppliers at IPC APEX EXPO
Four things we get right for IPC APEX EXPO exhibitors

Protect the machine's working envelope
Draw the reel, feeder and access-panel envelopes separately from the machine footprint and keep counters, stored samples and graphics outside them. Utilities arrive where the equipment drawings say, the operator stands where they can reach the controls, and the audience sees the result without crossing either.

Light small boards for inspection
Boards and components need deliberate lighting, readable labels and one consistent viewing height. We group samples by process result instead of filling every shelf, add magnified images so fine tracks and solder joints read from the aisle, and keep the physical sample beside them to set the scale.
Test the camera under booth light
A fixed inspection camera and a labeled comparison board make a quality specialist stop. We test the camera against your board finish under the proposed fixtures, because reflections that look fine from the aisle can hide fine tracks on screen, and we adjust the view before the show opens.
Build a demo that always runs
Live demonstrations run on approved sample data with a repeatable starting state, the operator display separated from the audience screen. We record the same workflow as a fallback, give the presenter a short replenishment route with protected sample storage, and keep the numbered output tray where the next visitor can inspect it.

Concept rendering
Every proposal comes with a rendering like this

Logistics for IPC APEX EXPO 2027, handled
The Anaheim Convention Center is a union hall under the Greater LA and Orange County trade show labor agreement: hand-carry is limited to what one person brings in under 30 minutes with no hand tools and no piece over 10 feet, and everything else moves through the dock on show freight. We read the exhibitor kit, book your target time with the show's general contractor, ship to the advance warehouse and budget drayage at about $170 to $180 per hundredweight with a 200-pound minimum. Island drawings go in under the 20-foot rule, and two-story plans reach the Fire Marshal 60 days before install. Our Southern California crew installs, and your team walks over from the Anaheim Resort District hotels.
Hall rules, drayage estimates and freight deadlines for this building are in our Anaheim Convention Center exhibitor guide.

IPC APEX EXPO exhibitor questions
Questions exhibitors ask us before IPC APEX EXPO
How much does a 20×20 at IPC APEX EXPO cost?
A 20×20 island rental with your graphics runs $16,000 to $40,000 and a custom 20×20 runs $50,000 to $120,000, covering design, structure, graphics and installation. A 10×20 inline rental lands between $7,500 and $15,000. Machinery handling, power drops and camera coverage move the number, so send your equipment list and we return a fixed quote.
Can you install at the Anaheim Convention Center?
Yes. We build in Las Vegas and Fishkill, NY, ship to the advance warehouse and install with our Southern California crew under our own project manager. We file the exhibitor appointed contractor and insurance forms, book the target time and have your booth carpeted, powered and set before the doors open on April 6.
Can we rent a booth for IPC APEX EXPO?
Yes. Rental structures with your graphics, custom demo counters and sample fixtures, or a hybrid of the two are all on the table. Many suppliers at APEX start with a 10×10 or 10×20 rental built around one demonstration and move to a custom island once the traffic proves the case.
When do we need to decide?
Design sign-off in late January 2027 gives us a 30 to 45 day build and a mid-March ship to the advance warehouse ahead of the April 6 opening. We can move faster; the trade-off is choice of finishes and freight cost. The 2026 floor sold out at 416 exhibitors, so lock your space first and we plan around it.
Do you handle general contractor orders and drayage?
Yes. We read the exhibitor kit, order material handling, labor, carpet and electrical from the show's general contractor, book your target time and budget drayage at about $170 to $180 per hundredweight with a 200-pound minimum. Heavy equipment crates go through the dock on show freight, and you are copied on every deadline.
